INTRODUCTION
Aurora™ is an advanced special needs stroller that combines a new generation
design with a modern look. It is designed for the youngest patients with limited
locomotor abilities. It holds the most essential features of the special needs
stroller, not resembling one at the same time. The proven technical solutions
used in the stroller make it safe, stable and very comfortable.
The biggest advantage of the Aurora™ stroller is its convenient multifunctional
reversible seat. It allows the child to interact with the caregiver or the
environment, depending on the seat position. A tilt-in-space function allows for
smooth adjustment of the inclination angle of the entire seat. The adjustable
cushions and side supports provide excellent lateral stabilization. In addition,
there is the possibility of changing the height of the headrest, the angle of the
backrest and the footrest.
The Aurora™ stroller has been equipped with adjustable shock absorbers.
There are two modes to choose from: City and Comfort. The front swivel wheels
with blockade make it easier to maneuver the stroller in tight and narrow spaces.
As standard, the stroller is equipped with practical accessories: an adjustable
folding canopy, leg cover, capacious under seat storage basket and bag.
Numerous reflective elements placed on the stroller provide additional safety.
The stroller is available in one universal size. A wide range of adjustments make
it possible to adapt the stroller to the individual needs of smaller or larger
children.

The device is recommended for people in the following cases:
nCerebral palsy – various types and forms.
nBrain and spinal cord injuries with lower limbs paralysis and weakness,
balance and motor coordination disorders with different etiology.
nDemyelinating disease (e.g. multiple sclerosis - SM).
nMeningocele.
nMuscles diseases with weakness and paralysis (dystrophy, myasthenia
gravis, myositis).
nGenetic disorders.
nDegeneration and neurological diseases.
nOther condition connected with muscles weakness, paralysis and
musculoskeletal disorders.
nAfter head and spinal cord injuries and spine trauma with paralysis and
paresis.

The present user manual contains basic information which is essential for
proper usage, preparation, maintenance, cleaning and guarantee conditions
regarding AURORA™ stroller.
User manual should be kept in easily accessible place. It is designed for people
who look after disabled children, and for both doctors as well as
physiotherapists who operate the device.
Remember that complying with guidelines is highly important. It assures safety
and extends durability as well as aesthetics of the device.

5.1.How to use the stroller
After receiving the stroller, first you should unfold it. In order to do that, follow
these steps:
STEP 1. Unlock the stroller frame (see point 5.2, step 5, page 13).
STEP 2. Pull the frame until the folding mechanism of the stroller clicks into its
place (fig. 1-4)

STEP 3. Mount the rear and front wheels on the frame of the stroller (fig. 5-6).

STEP 4.To mount the seat of the stroller, put it into the dedicated places on
the frame (fig. 7-9).
CAUTION! While placing the seat on the frame, you should hear a
characteristic “CLICK” sound. Pull the seat up before use in order
to check if it has been mounted correctly. Also, make sure that the
red buttons, used to disassemble the seat, are unlocked.

The seat can be mounted either forwards or backwards.
5.2 Folding the stroller for transportation
In order to fold the stroller, you should:
STEP 1. Remove the seat from the frame by pushing the red buttons (1) (fig.12)
on both sides of the stroller and pulling the seat up (fig.13).

STEP 2. Unclip the front wheels (see point 5.4.1, page 13).

STEP 3. Fold the frame by pushing the
red buttons (2) located on the stroller
frame (fig. 14), and pulling the black
handles (3) (fig. 15-16) at the same time
until the frame is unlocked.

STEP 4. When the handles are pulled back, push the frame down until it folds
completely (fig. 17-20).

STEP 5. A special lock secures the frame of the stroller against accidental
unfolding (fig. 21-22).

5.3 Rear PU wheels
The stroller is equipped with rear PU wheels. To remove them, push the button
located in the center of the wheels (fig. 23-24).

STEP 6. To obtain smaller dimensions of the stroller after the assembly, it is
recommended to disassemble the rear wheels (see 5.3, Rear PU wheels, page
13).
5.4. Front PU swivel wheels with direction blockade
The stroller is equipped with front swivel wheels.
5.4.1 To remove them, push the button located above the wheel (fig. 25, 26).

5.4.2 You can block the swivel function of the front wheels by turning the
knob (fig. 27) located above the wheel in a clockwise direction. To release the
blockade, turn the knob counter-clockwise (fig. 28).

To immobilize the stroller, push the brake lever located in the lower part of the
stroller frame (fig. 29).

5.6. Hard/soft suspension system

The stroller is equipped with adjustable system with shock
absorbers (hard/soft). It is regulated by the lever located at the shock absorber,
next to the rear wheel (fig. 31, 32). There are two possible modes to choose from:
źhard mode (fig. 31) – it is set when the lever indicates the direction of the
stroller movement. It should be used while driving on the level and flat
surfaces (e.g. while driving on the asphalt). It is also recommended for
heavier patients.
źsoft mode (fig. 32) – it is set when the lever indicates the direction opposite to
the stroller movement. It is meant for driving on uneven, bumpy terrain. It is
also recommended for patients with lower weight.

the back of the backrest (fig. 33), set the backrest at
the desired angle and then release the handle.
The setting of the backrest is adjusted gradually

5.8. Detachable and reversible seat unit

After each adjustment of the lever,
make sure that the seat has been
successfully blocked by properly
tightening the lever. The lever should
be released and turned clockwise (do
not do it too much). Over-tightening of
the lever will make it impossible to
press it down after setting. The tilt-in-
space function adjustment is very
smooth. Possible settings (fig. 36).

5.9. Adjustable footrest
5.9.1 To adjust the angle of the footrest, release the clamping lever (5) located on
one side of the footrest (fig. 37), set the desired angle (fig. 38) and press the lever
firmly (5).

CAUTION! Before releasing the lever, hold the seat of the
stroller firmly. Do not adjust the seat with the patient on the
stroller.

After each adjustment of the lever, make sure that the footrest has been
successfully blocked by tightening the lever. The lever should be released and
turned clockwise (do not do it too much). Over-tightening of the lever will make it
impossible to press it down after setting.
5.9.2 In order to adjust the length of the footrest, remove the pin from the
footrest frame, set the desired length of the footrest, and reinsert the pin.

STEP 1. Fasten the Velcro fastening as shown below (fig. 43-46).

STEP 2. Thread the end of the upper belt through the suitable hole in the
upholstery (fig. 47), and take it out at the back of the backrest (fig. 48). The belt
will block by itself thanks to the buckle at its end. Do the same with the second
upper belt

STEP 3. Using, for example, an upholsterer's knife, carefully pry off and remove
the plastic cover located on the side of the seat (fig. 49, 50).

STEP 4. Insert the bottom belt together with the buckle through the hole in
the upholstery located between the backrest and the seat of the stroller, and
pull it to the side (fig. 51, 52).
STEP 5. Place the plastic buckle on
the strap in the way shown in the
picture (fig. 53).
STEP 6. Insert the end of the belt again through the same hole in the upholstery
(fig. 54) and drag it through the buckle (fig. 55-57). The same should be done with
the second bottom belt
