AE 6890 Jumper settings, Power and Channel options
Jumpers at detachable front section board
To open: take off front section, remove 4 screws
Jumper section A:
Selecting the initial factory default frequency. (1 = solder jumper or 0 Ohm resistor
added) Factory default is version 3 jumpers added for Germany dE
Version A0 A1 A2 Country DISPLAY,CHANNEL

Jumper section B:
Enable 240CH by adding 0 OHM or solder jumper.
Default setting: no jumper, 240 CH is not allowed
Jumper section C:
Default: Enable MULTI Standard selection by user: 0 Ohm or solder jumper added
Disable Multi Standard selection: delete 0 Ohms or delete solder jumper.
Operation in 240 CH mode:
• Keep buttons PRI and TON pressed during switch on
• Release Power knob
• Relase PRI and TON
• Select bands Ato Fby CH 9 knob
Reset to Multi Standard mode:
• Keep button CH 9 pressed during power on
Reset appears on display for a moment, then normal operation starts
Operation in standard mode (all EU countries)
• Keep MHz button pressed during Power on
• Release POWER button
• Release MHz button
• Select country between dE (D, CZ), EU (European AM + FM), EC (European
FM), E(Spain AM+FM), Po (Poland AM+FM) and U(UK FM channels)
• Press MHz to confirm
Power jumper options (for use in Russia only)
Open main radio cabinet. Install solder jumpers or 0 Ohms resistors.
Possible modifications (1) and (2) or (3)
(1) highest possible AM power max. 6-8 W eff
(2) highest possible FM power max. 8-10 W
(3) set AM power from 1 W to 4 Watts
Note: instead of jumper (3) the AM power in 1 Watt position can be
fine adjusted by potentiometer between about 700 mW and 4 Watt eff.
4 W Power adjustment in FM
User potentiometer RV 6 in the power stabilizing section (near Modulation
transformer for fine tuning to 4.0 Watts FM power.
