Maintenance rules for Li-Ion and Li-Po batteries: Regeln zur Li-Ionen und Li-Polymer Akkupflege:
- The fi rst charging process is very important! Please charge the battery
completely before the fi rst use.
- If a battery is discharged below its nominal voltage, this might trigger
further processes, which could damage or destroy the battery.
Therefore, ALPENHEAT batteries have built-in electronics that switch
off the device before such a deep discharge happens.
- Frequent overcharging can permanently damage the battery. That’s
why the charger stops the charging process automatically as soon as
the battery is fully charged. Repeatedly re-connecting a charged battery
to the power supply will not increase the charging level!
- Charging should normally only be carried out at room temperature
(about 18°C - 21°C). Avoid charging a cold battery, as this might
damage the cells. Allow the battery to warm up at room temperature in
order to charge it under ideal conditions.
- High temperatures might also damage the battery. Never leave the
battery in the sun or in the car on hot and sunny days.
- Li-Ion batteries and Li-Polymer batteries should ideally be stored at
room temperature.
- Fully charged or empty Li-ion batteries should not be stored for a longer
period of time. In complex tests, the optimum storage condition was
determined at a capacity of 30% to 50% and at a low temperature, but
not below 0 °C.
Storage at -5°C to 45°C (Li-Ion) and at 0°C to 40°C (Li-Polymer) is
possible, but not recommended
- Batteries have to be charged every 6 months.
- Even if not in use batteries lose energy. A Li-Ion battery loses about
3% to 5% per month.
- Always dispose of used and old batteries in an environmentally correct
way.

gelagert werden. Die in aufwendigen Versuchsreihen ermittelte optimale
Lagerung liegt bei einer Kapazität von 30% bis 50% und bei niedrigen
Temperaturen nicht aber unter 0°C. Eine Aufbewahrung zwischen - 5°C
bis 45°C (Li-Ionen) und 0°C bis 40°C. (Li-Polymer) ist möglich, aber
nicht optimal.
- Nachladen spätestens alle 6 Monate erforderlich!!
- Auch im unbenutzten Zustand verlieren Akkus Energie. Bei einem
Li-Ion-Akku beträgt der Energieverlust ca. 3% bis 5% pro Monat.

INSTRUCTIONS
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Keep the product out of the reach of small children, as it contains small parts which could be
swallowed. This product should not be used by individuals unable to determine when the
temperature is too hot or too cold. Small children are more sensitive to hot and cold. Certain
illnesses, e.g. diabetes, can cause impaired temperature sensitivity. Persons with disabilities or
inrm persons might not be able to communicate that they are too warm or too cold. Therefore
the product is not suitable for children under the age of three, the inrm or individuals insensitive
to heat. If in doubt or if you have cardiovascular problems consult your doctor before using the
product.
Only use the original recharger supplied with the product for charging the batteries. It has been
designed for indoor use only and should not be exposed to moisture.
Do not insert metal or other objects into the connection sockets or plug as this can damage the
product.
If you notice that the connection cables or any other parts are damaged, do not use the product.
Do not make any modications to the product and do not use it for any purpose other than
intended.
If you feel any unpleasant sensation, such as tingling, that may be a sign that the heat setting is
set too high and should be reduced immediately or disconnect the sock from the battery pack.
If the product is not in use, the battery packs have to be disconnected from the socks.
Alpenheat products are not compatible with one another or with products from other
manufacturers, so never use chargers, heaters or battery packs from other products.
HOW TO CHARGE THE BATTERIES
The battery packs have be charged before each use. Batteries only reach their full capacity after
having been charged several times. To achieve the full capacity, proceed as follows:
1. Connect the charging cable with the adaptor.
2. Connect the charging cable with the 2 battery packs and push the plug into a houshold socked.
3. While charging the LED light on the battery packs will ash in red light.
4. When the battery pack is fully charged, the LED light on the battery pack will glow red.
5. Now you have the full power and you can use your heated socks.
Charge the batteries at an ambient temperature between 10° - 35° C / 50° - 95° F. The storage
temperature should not exceed 50° C / 122° F otherwise the batteries could be damaged.

HOW TO CARE OF THE BATTERIES
Excessive charging is prevented by the charging control in the battery pack. Occasional
insu󰀩cient recharging (less than 6 hours) does not harm the batteries. However, frequent
insu󰀩cient charging over a period of weeks does result in a reduction of the performance
capacity. Completely charge the batteries to increase the performance capacity.
Completely discharging the batteries insures extremely e󰀩cient utilization. If this is not done
regularly, the charging capability will also be impaired. To increase the performance capacity of
the batteries, completely charge them, and completely discharge them.
Charging can be interrupted. However, the longer the interruption e.g. a week or a month, the
more important it is to completely discharge and charge the batteries as recommended.
To extend the life cycle of the batteries, fully charge them every 3-4 months.
Getting started
1. Full charge the batteries before using. The red indicator LED is ashing as long as the
battery is charging. Once fully charged the LED light stays red.
2. Switch ON/OFF on the battery to ON when using. Red LED on the battery lights up,
which indicate the battery is controllable.
3. Switch ON/OFF switch on the battery to ON position
a: Press the “H” button, the blue LED light of the remote control will light one time,
the blue battery LED light will light 3 times, the circuit will go into “High” mode.
b: Press the “M” button, the blue LED light of the remote control will light one time,
the blue battery LED light will light 2 times, the circuit will go into “Medium” mode.
c: Press the “L” button, the blue LED light of the remote control will light one time,
the blue battery LED light will light 1 time, the circuit will go into “Low” mode.
d: Press OFF on the remote, the blue LED light on remote control will light one time,
the blue battery LED light will ash for 1 second. The socks stop heating.
4. Switch ON/OFF switch on the battery to OFF after using. Red LED on the battery go out.
5. Switch ON/OFF on the battery to OFF if it is not in use for a long time..
CLEANING
Remove the batteries and hand wash the socks
USE
The heated socks keep you comfortably and e󰀨ectively warm. Don’t let your feet get cold in the
rst place, because you will need more energy to warm them up. Turn the heated socks on right
at the beginning and keep them on all the time on a basic setting.
In cold weather the heat may not be very noticeable, but your feet will stay comfortably warm.
Your feet should not feel hot but cozily warm. The setting should not be too high to avoid
sweating, because this cools the body down.
DISPOSAL OF PRODUCT
This product must be disposed of according to the prevailing guidelines for disposing of used
electrical and electronic appliances. The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that
this product must not be treated as household waste, but must be disposed of at a collection point
for the recycling of electrical and electronic appliances. The product contains lithium-ion (Li-ion)

immediately returned to an authorized
ALPENHEAT dealer, together with the corresponding dated purchase invoice. Within the
guarantee period ALPENHEAT will at their sole decision repair or exchange the product.
EXCLUSION AND LIMITATIONS
ALPENHEAT gives no guarantee for damages caused by accidents, negligence or improper
use. Furthermore, textile wear, change of appearance, any product modication, damage to
the product are also excluded from the guarantee.

If the defect is detected after the 6 months manufacturer’s limited guarantee has expired or

Sollten Sie ein unangenehmes Gefühl verspüren wie unter anderem Kribbeln, kann die ein Zeichen
für eine zu hoch eingestellte Heizstufe sein und sollte sofort verringert oder der Heizsocken vom
Akkupack getrennt werden.
Sollte das Produkt nicht in Verwendung sein, muss der Akku vom Kabel des Sockens getrennt
werden.
Die Produkte sind nicht miteinander kompatibel, daher verwenden Sie niemals Ladegeräte,
Heizelemente, Akkupacks von anderen Produkten.
AKKUS AUFLADEN
Die Akkus müssen vor jedem Gebrauch aufgeladen werden. Akkus erreichen erst nach
mehrmaligem Laden ihre volle Kapazität. Um die volle Kapazität zu erreichen, gehen Sie wie folgt
vor:
1. Verbinden Sie das Ladekabel mit dem Adapter.
2. Verbinden Sie das Ladekabel mit den 2 Akkus und stecken Sie den Stecker in eine Steckdose.
3. Während des Ladevorgangs blinkt die LED-Anzeige an den Akkus rot.
4. Wenn derAkku vollständig aufgeladen ist, leuchtet die LED am Akku rot.
5. Jetzt haben Sie die volle Kraft und können Ihre beheizten Socken benutzen.

Verwenden Sie das Ladegerät nicht in der Nähe von Feuchtquellen. Wenn Sie unterwegs sind,
achten Sie darauf, dass die Steckdose mit Strom versorgt wird und nicht wie z.B. in einigen
Hotelzimmern üblich mit dem Lichtschalter ausgeschaltet werden kann. Rasierersteckdosen sind
ungeeignet, denn sie bieten dem Ladegerät nicht genügend Halt.
Das Ladegerät wird während des Auadens warm, dies ist normal. Laden Sie die Akkus bei einer
Umgebungstemperatur vom 10°-35° Celsius / 50°-95° Fahrenheit. Die Temperatur des
Aufbewahrungsortes darf 50° Celsius/ 122° Fahrenheit nicht übersteigen, da die Akkus sonst
beschädigt würden.
HINWEISE ZUR AKKU PFLEGE
Ein übermäßiges Auaden der Akkus wird durch die Ladesteuerung im Akkupack verhindert.
Ein gelegentliches zu geringes Auaden beschädigt die Akkus nicht.
Häuges zu geringes Auaden über Wochen hinaus führt zu einer Herabsetzung der
Leistungsfähigkeit. Um diese zu erhöhen, laden Sie die Akkus vollständig auf.
Ein vollständiges Entladen der Akkus gewährleistet eine äußerst e󰀩ziente Verwendung. Geschieht
dies nicht regelmäßig, wird auch das Wiederauaden beeinträchtigt. Um die volle
Leistungsfähigkeit zu erreichen, sind die Akkus vollständig aufzuladen- und zu entladen.
Ein Wiederauadevorgang kann unterbrochen werden. Je länger jedoch die Unterbrechung
dauert, z.B. eine Woche oder einen Monat, umso wichtiger ist es, den empfohlenen Entlade-/
Ladevorgang durchzuführen.
Der Akku muss mindestens einmal im Zeitraum von 3-4 Monaten aufgeladen werden! Bei
Nichtbenutzen den Akku kühl und trocken lagern.
INBETRIEBNAHME DER SOCKEN
1. Laden Sie die Akkus vor dem Gebrauch vollständig auf. Die rote LED-Anzeige am Akku blinkt
so lange sich der Akku im Lademodus bendet. Sobald der Akku vollständig aufgeladen ist,
leuchtet die LED amAkku dauerhaft rot.
2. Schalten Sie den Schiebeschalter am Akku von OFF auf ON, wenn Sie ihn verwenden wollen.
Bei eingeschaltenem Zustand leuchtet die rote LED amAkku und dieser ist nun mittels Fern
bedienung steuerbar:
a: Drücken Sie die Taste „H“. Die blaue LED der Fernbedienung leuchtet einmal auf.
Die blaue LED der Batterie leuchtet dreimal auf. Der Stromkreis wechselt in den
Modus „Hoch“.
b: Drücken Sie die Taste “M”. Die blaue LED der Fernbedienung leuchtet einmal
auf. Die blaue LED der Batterie leuchtet zweimal. Die Schaltung wechselt in den
Modus “Mittel”.
c: Drücken Sie die Taste „L“. Die blaue LED der Fernbedienung leuchtet einmal auf.
Die blaue LED der Batterie leuchtet einmal auf. Der Stromkreis wechselt in den
Modus „Niedrig“
d: Drücken Sie die Taste OFF auf der Fernbedienung. Die blaue LED auf der Fern
bedienung leuchtet einmal auf. Die blaue Batterie-LED blinkt 1 Sekunde lang. Die
Socken hören auf zu heizen.
4. Schalten Sie den Akku nach dem Gebrauch von ON auf OFF. Die rote LED amAkku erlischt
5. Lassen Sie am Akku den Schalter auf OFF, wenn Sie ihn für längere Zeit nicht benutzen.
REINIGUNG
Handwäsche (entfernen Sie vorher die Akkus).

GEBRAUCH
Die beheizten Socken scha󰀨en eine behagliche und andauernde Wärme für Ihren Körper. Lassen
Sie den Körper nicht erst kalt werden, denn um sich aufzuwärmen wird mehr Energie benötigt, als
bei einem durchgehenden Wärmevorgang.
Bei kaltem Wetter sind diese Temperatureinstellungen vielleicht nicht zu spüren, sehr wohl aber
ein angenehmes Wärmegefühl. Je nach Außentemperatur stellen Sie die Heizstufen ein. Es sollte
durch die gewählte Heizstufe immer ein angenehmes Wärmegefühl empfunden werden.
Artikel entsorgen
Dieser Artikel muss gemäß die geltenden Richtlinien für die Entsorgung von gebrauchten
elektrischen und elektronischen Geräten entsorgt werden. Das Symbol auf dem Produkt oder
seiner Verpackung weist darauf hin, dass dieses Produkt nicht als normaler Haushaltsabfall zu
behandeln ist, sondern an einer Annahmestelle für das Recycling von elektrischen und
elektronischen Geräten abgegeben werden muss.
