General Safety

• Before refuelling, switch off the engine and allow it to cool.
• When refuelling, DO NOT smoke or allow naked Àames in the area.
• Spilt fuel must be made safe immediately, by using sand. If fuel is spilt on your clothes, change them.
• Store petrol in an approved, purpose made container away from heat and ignition sources.
• This equipment is heavy and must not be lifted single-handedly, either GET HELP or use suitable lifting equipment.
• Cordon off the work area and keep members of the public and unauthorized personnel at a safe distance.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn by the operator when ever this equipment is being used (see Health & Safety).
• Make sure you know how to safely switch this machine OFF before you switch it ON in case you get into dif¿culty.
• Always switch OFF the engine before transporting, moving it around the site or servicing it.
• During use the engine becomes very hot, allow the engine to cool before touching it. Never leave the engine running and
unattended.
• Never remove or tamper with any guards ¿tted, they are there for your protection. Always check guards for condition and
security, if any are damaged or missing, DO NOT USE THE PRO 600X until the guard has been replaced or repaired.
• Do not operate the machine when you are ill, feeling tired, or when under the inÀuence of alcohol or drugs.
Fuel Safety
Improper maintenance can be hazardous. Read and Understand this section before you perform any
maintenance, service or repairs.

safety information. It is the responsibility of the operator to ensure that he/she fully understands how to operate this equipment safely.
If you are unsure about the safe and correct use of the Pro 600X, consult your supervisor or Belle Group.
Health And Safety

Vibration.
Some vibration from the trowelling operation is transmitted through the handle to the operator’s hands. DO NOT exceed the maximum
usage times.
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Suitable PPE must be worn when using this equipment i.e. Safety Goggles, Gloves, Ear Defenders, Dust Mask and Steel Toe capped
footwear. Wear clothing suitable for the work you are doing. Tie back long hair and remove any jewellery which may catch in the
equipment’s moving parts.
Electric Machines.
Electricity can kill! Always ensure that the machine is disconnected from the power supply before carrying out any maintenance/re-
pairs. Never use the machine in wet conditions.
Petrol Machines.
Fuel.
Do not ingest fuel or inhale fuel vapours and avoid contact with your skin. Wash fuel splashes immediately.
If you get fuel in your eyes, irrigate with copious amounts of water and seek medical attention as soon as possible.
Exhaust Fumes
Do not operate the Pro 600X indoors or in a con¿ned space, make sure the work area is adequately ventilated.
Safe Disposal.
Instructions for the protection of the environment.
The machine contains valuable materials. Take the discarded
apparatus and accessories to the relevant recycling facilities.

Pre-start Checks

Pre start-up inspection.
The following Pre-start-up inspection must be performed before the start of each work session or after every four hours of use,
whichever is ¿rst. Please refer to the service section for detailed guidance. If any fault is discovered, the Pro 600X must not be used
until the fault is recti¿ed.
1. Thoroughly inspect the Pro 600X for signs of damage. Check components are present and secure. Pay special attention to the
Drive Belt safety guard ¿tted between the engine and gearbox unit.
2. Check Àuid lines, hoses ¿ller openings, drain plugs and any other areas for signs of leakage. Fix any leaks before operating.
3. Check the engine oil level and top up as necessary.
4. Check the engine fuel level and top up as necessary.
5. Check for fuel and oil leaks.

Petrol Machines
Starting Procedure
• Be sure the fuel tank is full. Use the recommended fuel to run the engine
from its instruction booklet.
• Check engine oil levels.
• Turn the engines stop switch clockwise to the position ‘I’.
• Open the fuel cock.
• Set the speed control lever 1/3 of the way towards the high speed
position.
• If the engine is warm of the ambient temperature is high, close the
choke lever half way, or keep it open fully. If the engine is cold, or the
ambient temperature is low, close the choke lever.
• Pull the starter handle slowly until the resistence is felt. Return the
handle to its original position and pull swiftly.
• Allow a longer warm up period in colder temperatures.
Operation
• Guiding the trowel on the slab is very simple. Get into the operator’s
position behing the centre of the handle, attain a good footing and apply
the throttle slowly until desired speed is obtained. (A)
• Push handle down and machine will move to the right (B). lift the handle up and the machine will move to the left (C)
• Slightly twist to the left and the machine will move to the left. The machine will remain stationary if you do not apply any force up
or down.
Stopping the Engine
• Never use the choke to stop the engine. Leave the machine run at an idle speed for 2-3 minutes to cool down .
• Move the Gas lever to minimum throttle. Turn the button, which is on the petrol engine, to the OFF position to stop the
machine lastly.
Electric Machines
Starting Procedure
• Insert the plug into its place.
• Select the rotation direction.
• Put safety/stop switch on “ON” position and turn direction switch on position ”1” ¿rst. If the machine does not start and just makes a
noise, that shows you select the wrong direction of rotation. Stop the machine switch on to position “2” and continue the same way.
Operation
• Get into the operator’s position behind the center of handle attain a good footing and get starting. (A)
• Push handle down to move the machine right (B), lift handle up to move the machine left gently. (C)
• The machine will remain stationary, it you do not apply any force up and /or down.
Stopping the Motor
• Put direction switch on “0” position and get the plug out.
• Do not leave the machine before getting the plug out.
(Note: The illustration above is of the Pro 900, but the instructions are correct for the Pro 600X)

The blade pitch control knob is at easy reach of the operator. The pitch adjustment has an unlimited pitch variation and this can
be undertaken whenever necessary. During ¿nishing setting up/hardening may vary from area to area across the Àoor, so the pitch
adjustment can be changed to suit accordingly while the machine is in operation. When transporting the trowel on a truck, always
keep blades fully horizontal Àat on the Àoating disc.
For transportation of the machine use lifting eye.Alternatively to lift the machine, use an aid equipment through the stationary ring, which
can carry the weight of the machine ,with a carrying pipe on the back past of handle.

Gearbox
Check oil level every month. On side of the gearbox there is an plug. Use “SHELL OMALA220 (750ml)” gear oil or equivalent.
Machine Cleaning
Clean the machine after it has been used to prevent the collection of hardened cement. Hard concrete/cement paste is very dif¿cult
to remove. To clean it use an old brush or hand brush.
Changing of Blades
Be careful when changing old blades with new. Due to the way the blades wear, the old blades become very sharp, like a knife
blade.As a safety precaution very heavy-duty gloves during this operation to prevent the hands being cut. Remove bolts and lock
washers on each trowel arm and remove the blades. Before installing new blades clean all concrete/cement from bottom and side
of the trowel, be sure trowelling edge of the blade is behind trowel arm. Install bolts and lock washers on each trowel arm and
fasten securely.
Tightening the V-Belts
If you notice a loose on V belt, check the tightness. Especially in ¿rst using and V belt change. Check the V belt tightness after 8
hours later. Using your head ¿nger push the V belt from its middle point. It must stretch about 2cm.If it stretches more, it is loose.
For tightening; loose the motor ¿xing screws.(till motor moves away on the table) Loose the motor lock nut. Loose the screws, push
the motor backward. Checking the V belt tightness, do the same operations. Until tightness of V belt is desired value, screw the
motor luck nut, and then screw the motor ¿xing screws.
Problem Cause Remedy
Engine will not start. No fuel getting to engine. Open fuel tap.
Fill fuel tank.
Engine switched off. Switch engine on.
Spark plug fouled. Clean, check and reset plug gap.
Engine cold. Close choke.
Engine Àooded. Open choke, fully open throttle, pull recoil starter until engine ¿res.
Cutout switch wire Reconnect disconnected wire.
Leaving Swirls in Main Shaft damaged. Check and replace as necessary.
concrete, Rolling Spider Plate arms bent. Replace as necessary.
Concrete or Bouncing. Blades are unevenly adjusted. Check and adjust as necessary.
Blades are all different sizes. Replace, ensuring all blades are the same size.
Blades are worn. Replace blades.

The following are not covered under the Belle Group warranty:
1. Damage caused by abuse, misuse, dropping or other similar damage caused by or as a result of failure to follow assembly,
operation or user maintenance instructions.
2. Alterations, additions or repairs carried out by persons other than Belle Group or their recognised agents.
3. Transportation or shipment costs to and from Belle Group or their recognised agents, for repair or assessment against a
warranty claim, on any machine.
4. Materials and/or labour costs to renew, repair or replace components due to fair wear and tear.
