Safety Instructions
1. All safety instructions must be read before using this device.
2. Keep and follow these instructions
3. Heed all warnings
4. The exclamation mark in the triangle indicates internal components which if
replaced can affect safety.
5. The lightning symbol within the triangle indicates the presence of dangerous
uninsulated voltages.
6. Only clean the device with a dry cloth.
7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions.
8. Do not install the device near heat sources such as radiators, heaters or other
heat-emitting elements.
9. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs,
convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus
10. The equipment must be repaired by qualified technical service personnel when:
A. The mains supply cable is damaged, or
B. Any object or liquid has damaged the device; or
C. The equipment does not function normally or correctly; or
D. The equipment has been exposed to the rain; or
E. The chassis is damaged
11. Disconnect the device in the case of electric storms or during long periods of
disuse.
12. WARNING – To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this
device to rain or moisture
13. The equipment shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled
with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the device.
14. For hanging and installation, use manufacturer recommended accessories only.

1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. General
Amate Audio would like to thank you for your confidence in our CS Series. We
suggest you to read the following instructions carefully in order to obtain the best
performance.
1.2. Features and presentation
Your new CS ceiling speaker is designed for indoor using. Thanks to its accurate
design, it is ideal for multiple solutions, such as conference rooms, educational
classrooms, boardrooms, presentation venues, training rooms or hotel lobbies.

2. CONNECTIONS
2.1. Connection description without TF-100 transformer
Connect each speaker to the amplifier’s output

2.2. Connection description with transformer
Place the TF-100 transformer on top of the ceiling speaker’s pillars. Screw it
Connect the wiring from the transformer to the speaker (use both the red and
black wire from the transformer). Red wire (16Ω) must be connected in the red
push terminal. Black wire (0) must be connected in the black push terminal
Connect each speaker to the amplifier’s output by choosing the appropriate
setting (5W or 10W or 20W or 40W)

3. MOUNTING AND PLACEMENT
For a proper installation of the ceiling speaker, it is strongly recommended to read
carefully the following advices.
Use only good quality connection cables to avoid interferences, deterioration in
signal quality due to poor matching, and elevated noise levels (often associated
with low quality cables)
Avoid interference from neighbouring electrical appliances that may adversely
influence signal quality
Position your Amate Audio ceiling speaker away from moisture, excessive sunlight
and dust
3.1. Choosing the best location
Ideally, locate the speakers above the main listening area. Before doing so, be sure
that:
The desired location is free of obstructions, such as electrical piping, AC ducts or
water lines
There is enough space behind the mounting surface for the speakers
Rear side of the speaker is not blocked by wall studs or other objects
3.2. Cutting the ceiling tile
To cut the ceiling tile, do the following:
Remove the paper circle in the supplied template
Mark the opening in the correct location by tracing the hole in the template
Cut out the hole according to the template or with a circular cutter set to the
appropriate cut-out size. Initially, you can cut a smaller area inside the marked
hole just to be sure that the space above the speaker is clear
3.3. Mounting the speaker
To install the ceiling speaker, do the following:
Remove the grille
Connect the speaker wires to the appropriate
connector terminals
Push the speaker into the ceiling hole until the
front baffle rim is levelled with the ceiling
Tighten the mounting tabs by turning the screw
counter clockwise. When tightening the
mounting tabs, the tabs automatically turn
outward, thus clamping the speaker to the wall
from its rear side. Do not over-tighten the
screws as it may cause damage to both the
speaker and the surface.

5. WARRANTY CERTIFICATE
All Amate Audio products have been produced under strict manufacturing practices
and have passed rigorous quality controls to guarantee excellent, long term
performance, even under the harshest conditions. Amate Audio s.l. extends its
Warranty Certificates for each group of products according to its technological
characteristics, to cover manufacturing defects of the product or any of its
components, including and providing for their repair or replacement. The validity
period depends on the particular Series or product group, and is determined as
follows:
Validity period
The warranty is effective from the date of purchase of the product, being valid on
presentation of the corresponding purchase invoice that shows the manufacturer’s
original serial number, matching that displayed on the identification label on the
product. Any product that does not have the corresponding serial number may be
excluded of any warranty rights by unilateral decision of our Commercial
Department.
Product group WARRANTY CONDITIONS
Power Amplifiers & Digital (DSP) loudspeaker management systems
THREE years, related to all circuits and electronic components (in solid state).
Passive acoustic cabinets
TWO years for all components (transducers, passive crossovers, and connectors);
provided that the cause of the damage is due to a manufacturing defect or the
malfunctioning of any of its components.
Active acoustic cabinets
TWO years for all components (including transducers, amplification and the rest of
control and processing circuits).
Warranty exceptions
The aforementioned warranty periods will not apply when:

Mechanical parts and components, such as potentiometers, commuters,
switches, and connectors, show signs of inappropriate use or presence of solid
or liquid foreign object.
Loudspeakers and transducers show signs of damage caused by overheating or
excess of continuous temperature (burned voice coils or diaphragms) or
displacement of the magnetic core by force or shock.
Parts handled by the user, such as connectors or painted wooden cabinet, show
signs of abuse, shock, exposure to continuous and excessive humidity, or
general mistreatment.
The equipment is damaged by improper use (e.g. failure to comply with the
operations described in the User’s Manual; incorrect connection, etc.),
mistreatment or accidental misuse, the attempted service, repair or modification
by anyone other than an Authorized Technical Service agent, authorized by our
Authorized Technical Service (ATS).
In the case of damaged product
Please contact your local dealer or check our website www.amateaudio.com to find
your nearest distributor to apply for a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization)
procedure. When returning equipment to a Technical Service office, we recommend
that you take the necessary measures to protect the product to avoid the possibility
of damage or wear and tear during transit. When returning a defective product, it
should be sent back in its original packaging with all its accessories and internal
protection elements. Amate Audio reserves the right not to accept any returned
product where packaging is damaged. Upon receipt of the material, the Authorized
Technical Service agent will make an assessment of the damage and determine the
cost of repair or, if applicable, the extent to which it is covered by the warranty.
Warranty Rights
The product indicated in the purchase invoice is for professional use, and is
protected under law 23/2003 of July 10th about Warranties in the Sale of Consumer
Goods. Notwithstanding, Amate Audio voluntarily grants WARRANTY over possible
defects in manufacturing for the above mentioned period for each specified Series or
product group.
Conditions: the buyer has been informed as to the required maintenance of the
material purchased in order to keep it in perfect working order. The purchaser has
received an instruction manual with the technical characteristics and instructions for
the correct use of the acquired product. The buyer, on receipt of the product,
inspects the material to ensure there is no visible damage or defect and that it
functions correctly, as described.
