1. Introduction
RB-SW00A/NR1 is an industrial Ethernet switch without Power over Ethernet
(PoE). Switch is designed for using on rolling stock.
4 integrated industrial 5+1 port switches
Communication rate 10/100 Mbps on ports X12 to X16, X22 to X26, X32 to
X36, X42 to X46
Communication rate 100 Mbps on ports X11, X21, X31 and X41 (Uplink)
Connection through RJ45 connectors
Power supply +24 V DC
Design according to EN 50155:2007

Equipment is intended to operate up to 1 400 m above the sea level.
Equipment is designed to meet the Temperature Class TX.
According to EN 61373:2010 standard, the equipment is classified in terms of vibra-
tions into Category 1, Class B (mounting to vehicle body).
Permissible supplying voltage drop-outs duration: max 10 ms (Class S2 according to
Chapter 3.1.1.2 of EN 50155:2007).
For supply voltage switching are permissible conditions of C1 and C2 Class.
The equipment meets the SIL0 classification according to EN 50129:2003 Railway
applications –Communication, signalling and processing systems –Safety-related
electronic systems for signalling.

4. Power supply
Industrial Ethernet switch RB-SW00A/NR1 can be powered only by DC power
supply.
Industrial Ethernet switch RB-SW00A/NR1 can be supplied by current DC
power supplies made by AMiT.

5. Communication lines
5.1. Ethernet interface
Industrial Ethernet switch RB-SW00A/NR1:
4 integrated 6 port Ethernet switches.
24 ports which meets the IEEE 802.3 standard.
Ports X12 to X16, X22 to X26, X32 to X36, X42 to X46 support communica-
tion rate 10/100 Mbps
Ports X11, X21, X31 and X41 support communication rate 100 Mbps
All ports enable the Half-duplex or Full-duplex communication
All ports operate with direct or cross-wired cable
Recommended cabling: CAT5, shielded.
Line state indication separately for each port.

7. Mounting
Industrial Ethernet switch RB-SW00A/NR1 is intended for mounting with four
holes with 6 mm diameter. Industrial switch can be mounted in arbitrary
position.

7.1. Installation rules
PE terminal of power supply connector must be connected with local installation
earthing terminal. All PE connections must be realized with as low as possible
impedance. Technical parameters of industrial Ethernet switch are guaranteed
only when these wiring rules are applied.
The cables or individual wires being connected to Ethernet switch must be
protected against mechanical stress. Cables or individual wires connected to
Ethernet switch must be protected against mechanical stress by binding to the
solid installation part. Length of cable or individual wire between last binding
point and the Ethernet switch connector should not exceed 15 cm.

9. Maintenance
With exception of cleaning the device requires no periodic control nor
maintenance.
Depending on equipment usage, the dust is to be removed occasionally from
equipment. The equipment can be cleaned by dry soft brush or vacuum cleaner,
only when turned-off and disassembled.
Inspection must be carried out once every five years.
The maintenance mentioned above can be performed by manufacturer or
authorized service only!

10. Waste disposal
The disposal of electronic equipment is subject to the regulations on handling
electrical waste. The equipment must not be disposed off in common public
waste. It must be delivered to places specified for that purpose and recycled.
