CAUTION
- Refer to Table 1 so that the size and length of the
transmission line and the allowable supply current lie within
an appropriate range.
- Connect the same symbols (DP/DN) correctly between the
AnyWireASLINK master and each device.
- The branching length or branch number has no limitation.
- Include the length of the cable provided with the terminal in
the “total line length.”
- Connect the terminator “BT0 (polar)” to the DP/DN terminal
farthest from AnyWireASLINK master.
If the load consumption current
is large, a four-wire (isolated)
terminal can be selected.
This terminal can correspond
to I/O of the controller with an
external power supply.
[Installation Location]
-Location where the unit is not subject to vibration or shock
-Location where the unit is not directly exposed to dust
-Location where the main body is not directly exposed to conductors
such as waste metal and sputter
-Location where humidity is not condensed
-Location where the atmosphere is free of corrosive gas, ammable gas
and sulfur
-Location where the unit is removed from high-voltage or high-current
cables

The AnyWireASLINK can employ a two-wire or four-wire terminal selectively depending on the load current.
This Products Guide describes a four-wire (isolated) terminal.
In the case of hybridization, refer to the Two-Wire (Non-Isolated) Terminal Products Guide separately.
If the load current is small, using a two-wire (non-isolated) terminal allows for achieving simplied wiring without local power supply.
In the case of prioritizing the sites of concentrated loads and/or the number of connections, hybridization with a four-wire (isolated) terminal,
which supports local power supply, is also possible.
Make sure to use a four-wire (isolated) terminal in the case of input and load driving using an external power supply.

Insert the “ASLINK lter [Type ANF-01]” regardless of installation method and distance when complying with CE Standard.
If any of the side-by-side lines of DP, DN, 24V and 0V exceeds the total length of 50m in a power supply system to be supplied, serially connect
the “ASLINK lter [Type ANF-01]” or “lter of COSEL Co., Ltd. [Type EAC-06-472]” to 24V and 0V in the starting position of the side-by-side lines.
This will improve noise resistance, reduce the impact of crosstalk by transmission signals and stabilize the signals.
In any case of power supply to the entire system from the master driving power supply or power supply from the local power supply, insert a lter.

Check the connection status of the slave unit.
Disconnect and reconnect the slave unit.
Check if the LINK LED of the master unit ashes and take the following measures.
1) If the LINK of the master unit ashes and the LINK of the slave unit is on, the master unit may be
damaged. Please contact our helpdesk.
2) If the LINK of the master unit ashes and the LINK of the slave unit is off, the master unit may not
be powered (24V DC), the transmission line (DP/DN) may be partially disconnected, or the slave
unit may be damaged. Check if the master unit is powered and, if necessary, please contact our
helpdesk.
3) If the LINK of the master unit does not ash, check if the master unit is powered. Other system
errors may also occur. Refer to the User’s Manual of the master unit.
Adjust the power voltage of the externally supplied power that is connected to the I/O side of the
slave unit so that it is at the rated value (21.6V to 27.6V).
As for terminal wiring, check that there is no contact or incorrect wiring of each transmission line.
Adjust the voltage of the external power supply of the master unit to lie within the range from 21.6 to
27.6V (recommended voltage is 26.4V). Check the total line length.
Review the total line length and the size of the transmission line so as not to connect a load exceeding
a supply current limit on the transmission line and, if necessary, adjust the connected load (e.g. the
supply current on the transmission line is 2A if the size is 1.25mm
2
and the total length is 50m or less).
The address of the slave unit is not set (255) or address redundancy occurs. Take the following measures.
1) Change the address within the range from 0 to 254.
2) Check if there is another slave unit undergoing the same ashing and, if necessary, reset the
address so as not to be redundant.
Check the I/O side connection of the
slave unit.
Check the voltage of the external
power supply (24V DC) of the master
unit.
Check the address of the slave unit.
Check the connection status of the
master unit.
In case of an abnormal indication status, narrow down the
cause and remove the trouble based on the on/ashing status
and the left table.
The indication status will be restored automatically after the
trouble is removed.

*1 Do not use or store AnyWireASLINK equipment under an environment pressurized higher
than the atmospheric pressure at an altitude of 0m. Otherwise, a malfunction may occur.
*2 This is an index that shows the occurrence level of conductive substances in the
environment where the equipment is used.
In the case of pollution level 2, only non-conductive pollution occurs.
However, this is an environment where temporary conductivity can occur by accidental
condensation.
*3: The time from detection of ON or OFF to sending of a transmission
signal. This time + 2 transmission cycle times is the transmission
delay time.
*4: * The value on the input terminal is the value when all points between
IN and 0V (NPN) or between 24V and IN (PNP) are shorted.
When connecting a 3-wire sensor, add the total consumption current
of the sensor.
* The value on the output terminal is the value when all points are ON.
Add the total connected load consumption current.
* The value on the output terminal is the value when all points are ON.
Add the total connected load consumption current.
