8. Recording
1. Turn on/Recording:
Turn on the power; after inserting the CF card into the card slot, please turn the
CF card switcher clockwise vertically, and the recorder will take approximately
1 minute to boot up.
During the recorder booting up, the three LED lights will light up at the same time.
Once the yellow LED light is turned off, the red LED light will start flashing as the
recording is in progress.
Light indicator:
1 . Red light ：fast flashing - video & audio recorded simultaneously，slow
flashing - video recorded only.
2 . Yellow light ： Error (Please inspect all peripheral to see whether the
installation is correct).
3 . Green light ： Power on.
2. Turn off/Stop recording:
Turn off the power; please turn the CF card switcher horizontally to stop
the recording.

9.How to read the files from CF card?
1.Take out the CF card , then insert into
card reader.(Please note the top side of
CF card facing up)
2.connect the CF card to PC USB port.
3. Loading all data from the CF card; or copy all data into sub-directory of PC .
4. Execute the carplayer , and then click the button to select
the files saved in your PC.

5.Operation instruction
[1] Event list：When each time the power on to the power off, then forms one
『event recording』
[2] Date

operation interface
as follows：
(1) ：Play/Pause Compound key click to play from select files.
When it is in playing process, the play key will be changed to
pause key.
(2) ：Stop key。
(3) ：Slow motion; the playing speed will reduce to half of current
playing speed after click the key in each time, the slowest forward can
be up to 1 frame per second. The current playing fps will present in the
viewing window on the top of left-hand corner.
(4) ：Fast forward; the fast forward will play in double of original
speed after clicking in each time.
(5) ：Utility Box：(as following illustration)

Step1. Click the “Browse” button to select the path of the CF card location.
After selecting the path then click the “Synchronize” button to
proceed the time synchronization. When it is completed, the
“Finish” message box will appear on the screen.
Then click “OK” to complete the process.
Step2.please insert CF card back to the recorder after time synchronize.
★please note margin of error in time will occur during step2

4>.Image Path: please select the image format which you would like
to store. There are four kinds of different image format that can be
stored including BMP/JPEG/GIF/PNG. After select storage path
and click “apply”.
a. Depending on your requirement, there are two
kinds of backup type to select including REC
and AVI.
b. The default setting of video compression format
is Microsoft Video 1. After select the video comp-
ression output, the compression quality will be
set 75% of compression ratio as default setting.

[5] Hour/Minute & Date：It allows the user to choose the recording date/hour/
minute which wish to play. During playing back it will state in different color
for different meaning.
Viewing window：Double-click the viewing window will display in full

[6] Scrolling BAR：Press & hold the left button of the mouse to forward/
rewind the playing video.
◎Remark：If you want to execute this software, you must install the Direct X
9.0 or above version.
★ Remark：File only can be backup when the file is available of selecting
time.
(10) ：Snapshot

After click the snapshot button, the system will create a
“SnapShot” sub-folder under the “CarPlayer” folder. All snapshots
will be saved in the “SnapShot” sub-folder.

Transferring the files of the CF card to the PC for browsing,

The first four digits are『serial number of video clips』, the last four digits
are『the sum of total video clips』, therefore 00010015 means the first
video clip of total 15 video clips. The reason system automatically divide
into several pre-video recording files depending on the CF card capacity in
order to avoid the data losing when power failure suddenly happened which
the data can still be recorded to the last second without worry regrettable
matter of the data losing.
● EVENTIND is the『Event list』.
● MAXFILE.CFG is the『Internal record files』.

In the Records files(Take the 8GB-CF card as the example), the system

● The sub-folder『Programs』 is containing the main program files, when
this recorder must using in the different purposes, please update the soft-
ware accordingly .

According to the requirement the software can be to have the probable recor-
ding format and resolution adjustment.
● The sub-folder Updates『the system upgrade file』, will be empty under
the regular use.

『System』 is the contents of recording program, 20090105 V1.2.txt is the
You have to completely download the requiring software and update it first
before use in different purpose of recording. Please beware; you must copy
the complete whole 『System』 folder from the downloading file in order to
make the machine working well.

11.Format CF card
4、Put the CF card to the reader and insert the reader into the PC USB Port.
What do we need to format the CF card? It needs to be formatted before the recorder
is going to use in different purpose of recording. For example: the user is going to use
in “Long Recording Home Use” recording mode instead of “Vehicle Use” recording mode.
In that case, the user must format the “system” folder of the current CF card before use
in “Long Recording Homee Use” recording mode. Follow the steps below:
1、Unzip the“20090108.RAR”file to PC
2、Open the Car Player folder，execute the Car Play file to show the
following window below:

5、Click「open」to choose the location of CF card，then click「Format」
to start to format the CF card.
6、The system will come up the 『Are you sure to format the disk you select?』
dialogue box，please click 『Yes』to format.
★ Remark：Formatting is finished when the progressing bar reaches to 100%.
★ Remark：Caution! Please DO NOT remove or delete any files from CF card
after formatted.
