23. AttachareflownozzletotheAPRnozzlering.Thepreferrednozzlesizeisalargesize,NZA‐400‐400orNZA‐450‐
450forexample.
24. Ifavailable,installanunpopulatedpcbaintotheboardholder.Ifnecessary,reversemountthebottomplateofthe
opticalkitsobottomfacesup.Allthatisneededisaflatsurfaceatpcbaleveltocomparewithnozzleedge.
25. Verifythattheboardislevelinboardholder
26. RemoveanyVNZpipettefromthevacuumtube,itwillnotbenecessaryforthisprocedure.
27. BringtheheaddownwardinFASTspeeduntilheadstops.SwitchtoCOARSEspeedandbringdownreflownozzle
edgetoabout0.25”(10.0mm)aboveboardlevel.SwitchtoFINEspeedandadjustto5‐10milorasneeded.Bring
theheaddownuntilthereflownozzleedgesarejustaboveboardlevel.
28. Examineall4sidesofthereflownozzleedgeswithrespecttoboardlevel.All4sidesshouldbeparalleltoboard
level.
29. Ifnozzleedgesarenotparallelorco‐planar,adjustthe3spring‐loadedscrewsholdingtheheaterheadassemblyto
theheadcasting.Forside‐to‐side(pivot)adjustmentconcentrateon2rearscrews.Forfront‐to‐rear(pivot)
adjustmentconcentrateonfrontscrew.Finaladjustmentmayrequireacombinationofthe3adjustscrews.
NOTE:Ensurethat3screwsforholdingheaterheadassemblyarenottooloosesotheheaterheadishanging
looselyofftheheadcasting.Ifscrewsgettooloose,tightenupall3screwstogetanewstartingpointandstartco‐
planarityadjustmentover.
