INSTALLATION MANUAL
After removing the parts from packaging, inspect them to ensure
that no damage has occurred. Please report any damage
immediately to your authorized Archgard dealer.
Only kits supplied by the manufacturer may be used.

31-LS-WW Weathered Wood
Log Sets
Do not store or use gasoline or other ammable vapors or
liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS:
• Do not try to light any appliance
• Do not touch any electrical switch; do not use any phone in
your building
• Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbors phone.
• Follow the gas suppliers instructions
• If you can not reach your gas supplier, call the re
department
Installation and service must be performed by a ualied
installer, service agency or the gas supplier.
WARNING: If the information in this manual is not followed
exactly, a re or explosion may result causing property
damage, personal injury or loss of life.

WARNING
Failure to position the parts in accordance with these diagrams or failure to use only parts specically approved with this appliance
may result in property damage or personal injury.
The Archgard pan burner bed and ber logs are designed to give a realistic re package, and created to look the same as the day they
were originally installed even after many years of use. Care must be given when rst installing the logs, and if removed for servicing, as
they can be damaged or broken if not handled properly.
After opening the log set package, inspect the logs to ensure that no damage has occurred inside the package. Please report any
damage immediately to your Authorized Archgard Dealer.
Gas and vent connection must be made before installing the embers and logs on the pan burner.
CAUTION: DO NOT block pilot opening with embers or glass media material.
NOTE: Improper placement of logs and embers may cause soot accumulation on the internal parts and glass. This is not covered under
warranty. Do not use broken or damaged logs.
Overview
Many of the logs use the locator pins located on the burner to position the logs. There are holes in the bottom of the log to help align
them to the unique position on the burner.
IMPORTANT: Embers should be placed so as not to completely block burner ports.

NOTE: Installing the ber logs in any other position other than shown will result in ame impingement causing sooting of the logs, brick
liner and ceramic glass viewing area.

Step 1: Place Log 01 on the pin the left, rear corner of the rebox.

Step 4: Spread some embers along the back side of the burner.
Do not place embers with a at edge down as it may block burner
ports.

Keep the embers away from the pilot opening. Do NOT block the
ports immediately in front of the pilot.

Step 2: Place Log 02 on other two pins in the back of the rebox.
Step 3: Install the log bracket in the holes on the left side of the burner using the two (2) black tek screws included in the manual bag.
DO NOT block the gap at the back of the burner as this
supplies secondary air to the replace.

Step 5: Place Log 04 toward the left side of the rebox, using the two pins for alignment.
Step 6: Place Log 05 on the pin to the right of Log 03. After it's placed, rotate the log until it contacts the pin on the right side of the
burner.
Step 7: Spread some embers along the front of the burner. Leave
some space where Log 07 will rest. Do not place embers with a
at edge down as it may block burner ports.

Step 8: Place the end of Log 07 on the pin at the front of the burner. The top of Log 05 will rest on Log 02 and Log 04.
Step 9: Add embers around the bottom of Log 07.

The port with screen mesh may be covered with embers -
ensure the entire port is not blocked.

Step 10: Log 06 rests on Log 01 and Log 03.

Platinum Ember Placement
Step 1: Remove embers from the bag. Be sure to follow handling
instructions on the bag. Separate embers by pulling apart.
Embers may be attened or separated into smaller pieces to
achieve any desired look.
Step 2: Place the embers randomly throughout the re bed,
taking care to avoid burner openings.

Platinum embers provide a brighter glow than the black embers. When using a mixture of both the rebox will be lled with a natural
glow. Note: DO NOT block burner openings with platinum embers or any other material.
