1.2 General safety instructions
•Keep your workspace in order. Disorder in the work area can result in accidents.
•This equipment is not intended for use by persons (including children) with limited physical,
sensory or mental abilities or for lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless they are
supervised or instructed by a person responsible for their safety how to use the equipment.
Children are not allowed to play with the device.
•Take environmental influences into account. Do not expose power tools to rain. Do not use
power tools in a damp or wet environment.
•Do not use power tools where there is a risk of fire or explosion.
•Ensure that the working area is well lit.
•Protect yourself from electric shock. Avoid body contact with earthed parts (e.g. pipes,
radiators, electric cookers, refrigerators).
•Do not overload your power tool. You work better and safer in the specified power range.
•Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear wide clothing or jewelry, they may be caught by moving
parts. When working outdoors, non-slip footwear is recommended. Wear a hair net for long
hair.
•Use protective equipment. Wear protective goggles. Use a breathing mask for dust-
generating work.
•Do not use the cable for purposes for which it is not intended. Do not use the cable to
disconnect the plug or carry the device. Protect the cable from heat, oil and sharp edges.
•Disconnect the plug from the outlet. When not using the power tool, before maintenance
and when changing tools such as saw blades, drills, milling cutters.
•Avoid unintentional start-up. Make sure that the switch is switched off when the plug is
plugged into the socket.
•Use extension cords for outdoor use. Only use extension cords that are approved for this
purpose and marked accordingly outdoors.
•Be attentive. Pay attention to what you are doing. Go to work with common sense. Do not
use the power tool if you are not concentrated.
•Check the power tool for possible damage. Before continuing to use the power tool, carefully
inspect protective devices or slightly damaged parts to ensure that they are functioning
properly and in accordance with their intended purpose.
•Check that the moving parts function correctly and are not jammed or that parts are
damaged. All parts must be correctly assembled and meet all conditions to ensure proper
operation of the power tool.
•Only connect to sockets with earthing contact. The machine may only be operated via an
earth-leakage circuit breaker with max. 10- 30 mA rated residual current. Observe the
specified mains voltage.
1.3 Safety instructions for handling electrical equipment
•Wear rubber boots (insulation) during cleaning.
•The spiral must be completely removed from the basket before the machine is switched on.
•Before inserting the mains plug into the power connection, make sure that the switch of the
pipe cleaning machine is set to 0 or OFF/OFF.
•When using electrical equipment, always observe the specified mains voltage.
•Select the appropriate tool for the respective blockage and the pipe diameter to be cleaned
to avoid hooking the tool into the blockage and ejecting the spiral out of the pipe.
•Clean only sewage pipes, chimneys, wells etc. with this machine and its accessories to
prevent damage.
•Do not change any tools by grinding or similar to prevent damage to the pipes/pipe bends.
•Use a camera system to detect the cause of blockage in the pipe.

1.4 Residual risks
•Even if all safety instructions are observed, there are the following residual risks: Spiral can
overturn (form a loop if the working arc is too large) This can result in clamping. In addition,
the spiral can jump out of the pipe under tension - risk of injury!
•The pipe cleaning machines may only be used for cleaning pipes with a diameter of 32 mm to
100 mm.
Attention! The pipe cleaning machines are only designed for short-term operation and must
therefore only be in continuous operation for a maximum of 15 minutes! This device may
only be used as specified.
2.Commissioning
•Insert the plug of the pipe cleaning device into a suitable socket. Make sure the switch is in
the "OFF" position. To loosen the blockage, use only the smallest drill of the diameter and
drill out the blockage first. When the blockage is open and the water is slowly draining off,
drill the blockage completely with the largest possible adapted drill bit. If the blockage is
loosened, a thorough rinse is recommended.
•If present, the pipe wall should be cleaned with a chain drill using running water. Depending
on the blockage, different tools can be attached to the spiral. Select a suitable attachment
and attach it to the spiral. Make sure that the attachment engages correctly in the holder.
The attachment can only be removed using a screwdriver. The attachment may only be
changed if the spiral is not in the device.
•To release the spiral, the side lever must be at the top. You can now simply pull the spiral out
of the unit.
•To be able to use the pipe cleaning device, the white plastic sleeve must be inserted
correctly. Please check the fit of the sleeve before each use. Push the spiral through the
device until the drill comes out of the front of the device.
•The spiral must be carefully guided manually until it is blocked in the pipe. To do this, the
handle must be in the rest position. In this position, the spiral will not rotate, allowing the
spiral to move back and forth within the tube. Use gloves to guide the spiral.
•Position the device a maximum of 50 cm in front of the opening of the pipe to be cleaned.
Insert the spiral into the tube until you feel a counter pressure and the blockage in the tube
is reached. Pull the spiral a further piece out of the device until a working sheet has formed.
Make sure that the working sheet is not too large. Risk of injury!
•Now set the switch to the forward rotation position and actuate the hand lever. If the spiral
has penetrated so far into the pipe that there is no more bend, then form a new working
bend. Repeat this procedure until the blockage has been released.
•If it is difficult to move, it can help to let the spiral turn backwards briefly. The clockwise and
counterclockwise rotation prevents the spiral from sticking. The tool can be released from
the blockage by moving the spiral back and forth and turning it clockwise and
counterclockwise. As soon as the blockage is released or the pipe is cleaned, pull the spiral
back out of the pipe by hand. Make sure that no water or dirt enters the unit.
•Turn off the appliance's switch when the work is finished and disconnect the appliance from
the mains.
•Never change the attachment tool while the spiral is inside the appliance.

4. Control and inspection
•A visual inspection must be carried out before the pipe cleaning device is put into operation
to detect damage, lose or missing parts and worn parts. The pipe washer must be inspected
immediately if it has been overloaded or subjected to a severe impact. The inspection should
be carried out by a specialist.
•An annual inspection of the pipe cleaning equipment is recommended. Defective parts must
be replaced immediately. If this is not possible, the unit must not be put back into operation.
