1.2 General safety instructions
•Keep your workspace in order. Disorder in the work area can result in accidents.
•This equipment is not intended for use by persons (including children) with limited physical,
sensory or mental abilities or for lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless they are
supervised or instructed by a person responsible for their safety how to use the equipment.
Children are not allowed to play with the device.
•Take environmental influences into account. Do not expose power tools to rain. Do not use
power tools in a damp or wet environment.
•Do not use power tools where there is a risk of fire or explosion.
•Ensure that the working area is well lit.
•Protect yourself from electric shock. Avoid body contact with earthed parts (e.g. pipes,
radiators, electric cookers, refrigerators).
•Do not overload your power tool. You work better and safer in the specified power range.
•Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear wide clothing or jewelry, they may be caught by moving
parts. When working outdoors, non-slip footwear is recommended. Wear a hair net for long
hair.
•Use protective equipment. Wear protective goggles. Use a breathing mask for dust-
generating work.
•Do not use the cable for purposes for which it is not intended. Do not use the cable to
disconnect the plug or carry the device. Protect the cable from heat, oil and sharp edges.
•Disconnect the plug from the outlet. When not using the power tool, before maintenance
and when changing tools such as saw blades, drills, milling cutters.
•Avoid unintentional start-up. Make sure that the switch is switched off when the plug is
plugged into the socket.
•Use extension cords for outdoor use. Only use extension cords that are approved for this
purpose and marked accordingly outdoors.
•Be attentive. Pay attention to what you are doing. Go to work with common sense. Do not
use the power tool if you are not concentrated.
•Check the power tool for possible damage. Before continuing to use the power tool, carefully
inspect protective devices or slightly damaged parts to ensure that they are functioning
properly and in accordance with their intended purpose.
•Check that the moving parts function correctly and are not jammed or that parts are
damaged. All parts must be correctly assembled and meet all conditions to ensure proper
operation of the power tool.
•Only connect to sockets with earthing contact. The machine may only be operated via an
earth-leakage circuit breaker with max. 10- 30 mA rated residual current. Observe the
specified mains voltage.
1.3 Safety instructions for handling electrical equipment
•Wear rubber boots (insulation) during cleaning.
•The spiral must be completely removed from the basket before the machine is switched on.
•Before inserting the mains plug into the power connection, make sure that the switch of the
pipe cleaning machine is set to 0 or OFF/OFF.
•When using electrical equipment, always observe the specified mains voltage.
•Select the appropriate tool for the respective blockage and the pipe diameter to be cleaned
to avoid hooking the tool into the blockage and ejecting the spiral out of the pipe.
•Clean only sewage pipes, chimneys, wells etc. with this machine and its accessories to
prevent damage.
•Do not change any tools by grinding or similar to prevent damage to the pipes/pipe bends.
•Use a camera system to detect the cause of blockage in the pipe.
