•Sometimes overloading will cause misfiring which is normal. If the misfire is audible under
normal load, we recommend replacing the fuel.
•Do not overfill the tank (see figure max. level).
•After refuelling, check that the filler cap is properly closed. Avoid spilling gasoline!
•Use petrol with a maximum ethanol content of 10%.
•Petrol: octane rating at least 91 RON, lead-free
•When handling petrol and oil, increased attention should be paid. Smoking and open fire are
not permitted (danger of explosion).
•Do not fill leaded petrol, diesel or other non-approved fuels.
•Do not use petrol with an octane number lower than 91 RON. This can lead to serious engine
damage due to increased engine temperatures.
•If you work continuously at high revs, use gasoline with a higher octane rating.
•For environmental reasons, the use of unleaded petrol is recommended.
•Use only two-stroke engine oil for air-cooled engines.
•Caution: Use only designated and approved containers for transporting and storing fuel. Add
the correct amount of petrol and 2-stroke oil to a mixing bottle. Then shake the container
well. Never use oil for 4-stroke engines or water-cooled 2-stroke engines. This can
contaminate the spark plug, block the exhaust air part or glue the piston ring. Also do not use
fuel mixtures that have not been used for a month or longer. This may clog the carburettor
or affect engine operation. Put any remaining fuel in an airtight container and keep it in a
dark, cool room.
•Caution: Do not use a 2-stroke oil that recommends a mixing ratio of 100:1.

6.Use of included attachments & cutting tools
6.1 Petrol engine brushes
•When the machine is switched off, first familiarize yourself with operation and guidance
when working with a petrol engine scythe for the first time.
•Always hold the petrol engine scythe by the handles with both hands.
•Hold the handle with your right hand and the handle with your left hand.
•Attention: The cutting tool will continue to rotate for a short time after the throttle has been
released.
•Always ensure that the engine is idling properly so that the cutting tool does not rotate when
the throttle is not depressed. (see Maintenance)
•If you always work at high speed, you will have the best cutting result.
•Move the machine from left to right and back again with an even, curved movement. Then
cut the next path.
•Attention: Always return the machine to its starting position before cutting the next web!
•When working, knock against a stone or tree, turn off the engine and pull out the spark plug
connector before inspecting the petrol engine brush for damage.
•Attention: Be particularly careful when working in difficult terrain and on slopes. Cut
gradually on tall grass to avoid overloading the machine. First cut the tips, then work your
way forward step by step.
•Note: When using metal cutting tools, there is always a risk of kickback if the tool hits a solid
obstacle (stones, trees, branches, etc.). The tool is thrown back against the direction of
rotation.
•For wild growth and scrub, "dip" the hedge trimmer from above. This chops the material to
be cut.
•Attention: The blade runs after! Do not brake the blade with your hand!
•Keep the knife / cutting unit of the motor scythe away from the feet.
•Attention: Proceed with particular caution when using this technique, because the greater
the distance between the cutting tool and the ground, the greater the risk that the material
to be cut and foreign objects will move to the side.

User’s manual – AREBOS Multifunction tool 5in1 (Premium)
15
6.2 Mowing with grass trimmer
•Use the thread cassette to obtain a clean cut even on uneven edges, fence posts and trees.
•Carefully guide the trimming thread towards an obstacle and cut with the thread tip around
the obstacle. If the trimming thread comes into contact with stones, trees or walls, the
thread will fray or break prematurely.
•Never replace the plastic thread with a metal wire - risk of injury!
6.3 Hedge shears
•Keep the hedge trimmer at a safe distance from the body with both hands.
•The maximum cutting diameter depends on the type of wood, age, moisture content and
hardness of the wood.
•Therefore, shorten very thick twigs to the appropriate length with pruning shears before
cutting the hedge.
•First cut the sides of the hedges and then the top edge.
•Cut the hedge from bottom to top.
•Cut the hedge trapezoid. This will prevent the lower part of the hedge from being burned due
to a lack of light.
•Tension a guide along the length of the hedge if you want to trim the top edge of the hedge
evenly.
•Cut in multiple passes when heavy pruning is required.
•Be sure to remove any foreign objects (e.g. wire) from the hedge, as they can damage the
hedge trimmer blades.
•Attention! The knives run after! Do not brake the knives with your hand!
•To reduce the risk of accidents caused by the hedge trimmer, observe the following points:
-Never cut bushes or woods with a diameter of more than 2 cm.
-Avoid contact with metal bodies, stones, etc.
-Check the hedge trimmer regularly for damage. Never use damaged hedge trimmers
again.
-If there is a noticeable imbalance, the hedge trimmer must be replaced.
6.4 Raised pushbutton
Precautions during the sawing procedure
•For safety reasons, never stand under the branch you wish to saw off. In general, it is
advisable to place the branch saw at an angle of 60° to the branch.
•Hold the saw firmly with both hands during the cutting process and always ensure a balanced
position and a good standing position.
•Never try to use your tool with one hand. Losing control of your tool can result in serious or
fatal injury. Never work on a ladder, tree branch, or other unsafe surface.
•Do not saw strong branches in one cut, but always in several steps.
•To cut, attach the saw chain to the branch.
•Apply slight pressure to guide the machine, but do not overload the motor.
•Before cutting, clear the working area of any disturbing branches and undergrowth. Then
create a retreat area away from where cut branches can fall and remove all obstacles. Keep
the working area clear and remove the cut branches immediately. Pay attention to your
location, the wind direction and the possible fall direction of the branches. Place all other
tools and equipment at a safe distance from the branches to be cut, but not in the retreat
area.

7.Maintenance
7.1 Regular inspections
•Attention: Always wear protective gloves when working on and around cutting tools. When
not in use, during transport or storage, always fit transport protection to all cutting tools.
Always switch off the engine and remove the spark plug connector before carrying out
maintenance or cleaning work.
•Do not spray the unit with water. This will damage the engine.
•Do not clean the unit with running water or high-pressure cleaners.
•Clean the unit with a cloth, a hand brush, etc.
•Use a damp cloth to clean the plastic parts. Do not use cleaning agents, solvents or sharp
objects.
•Keep the handles free of oil and grease.
•Make sure that the ventilation slots for the motor cooling are free (danger of overheating).
•Also keep the cooling fins for the cylinder free of dust and dirt.
•For technical reasons, wet grass and weeds wrap themselves around the drive axle under the
cutting guard during the course of work. Remove this as otherwise the motor will overheat
due to excessive friction.
•Please note that the following information refers to normal use. Under certain circumstances
(prolonged daily work, heavy dust exposure, etc.) the specified intervals may be shortened
accordingly.
•Before starting work, after filling the tank, after impact or "dropping": Check cutting tools
for tight fit, general visual inspection for cracks and damage. Replace damaged or blunt
cutting tools immediately, even if there are minor hairline cracks.
•Weekly inspection: gear lubrication (also as required).
•If necessary:
-tighten accessible fastening screws. You will avoid excessive wear and damage to the
unit if you follow the instructions in this manual.
-sharpening cutting tools
-gear lubrication
7.2 Replace and clean spark plug
•Do not touch the spark plug or spark plug connector while the engine is running. Danger of
burns! Wear protective gloves!
•Regularly check the spark plug and the distance between the electrodes. Proceed as follows:
-Allow the engine to cool down.
-Remove the spark plug connector from the spark plug.
-Unscrew the spark plug using the spark plug wrench supplied.
-The distance between the electrodes must be 0.6 - 0.7 mm.
-In case of excessive wear of the electrode or very heavy incrustation, the spark plug must be
replaced with one of the same type. Strong incrustation of the spark plug can be caused by:
Too much oil in the petrol mixture, poor oil quality, outdated petrol mixture or clogged air
filter.
-Turn the spark plug completely into the thread by hand. Avoid tilting the spark plug.
-Tighten the spark plug with the spark plug wrench supplied. However, do not tighten too
much.
-When using a torque wrench, the tightening torque is 12-15 Nm.
-Insert the spark plug connector correctly onto the spark plug.

User’s manual – AREBOS Multifunction tool 5in1 (Premium)
17
•Replace the spark plug:
-every 100 hours or 1x a year (depending on which case occurs first)
-if the insulation body is damaged
-with strong electrode erosion
-for heavily soiled or oily electrodes
7.3 Cleaning the air filter
•Dirty air filters reduce engine performance due to insufficient air supply to the carburettor.
Dust and pollen block the pores of the foam filter. Regular checks are therefore essential.
•Warning! Never let the engine run if the air filter element is not inserted!
•Clean the air filter regularly from dust and dirt in order
-Start-up problems
-Loss of performance
-to prevent high fuel consumption.
•Clean the air filter approx. every eight operating hours. More often in particularly dusty
conditions.
•Move the choke lever upwards to prevent dirt from entering the carburettor.
•Loosen the air filter cover and remove the sponge filter element. Replace the air filter cover
so that nothing falls into the air duct.
•Wash the air filter in lukewarm soapy water. Do not blow or blow out dirt particles, there is a
risk of eye injury!
•Let the air filter dry well and reinsert it.
•Damaged air filters must be replaced immediately.
7.4 Cleaning/replacing the fuel filter
•Check the fuel filter if necessary. A dirty fuel filter obstructs the fuel supply.
•Open the fuel filler cap and pull the fuel filter with a wire hook through the opening.
➔Slight soiling:
-Pull the fuel filter off the fuel line and clean the filter with cleaning petrol.
➔Heavy soiling:
-Replace the fuel filter.
7.5 Adjusting the carburettor (idle speed)
•The carburettor is factory set to the correct idle speed so that the correct fuel-air mixture is
supplied to the engine.
•In the following cases the carburettor (idle speed) must be corrected:
•Speed too high (engine continues to idle)
•irregular running or lack of acceleration (idle speed too low)
•Adaptation to weather conditions, temperatures
•Incorrect carburettor adjustment will result in serious engine damage! Never continue
working with the unit.
•Contact a specialist workshop and have a carburettor adjustment carried out.
