Charging
When the battery gets exhausted, a message “Low Battery” will show on the screen, or when playing, the
device will shut down automatically due to its discharged battery. Please charge the device with the supplied
charger.
Please connect one end of the supplied charger to the USB jack of the player, the other end to the wall outlet,
and charging begins.
During charging, the player will keep in ON mode automatically. (When the player is powered off, it will
turn on automatically when connecting the charger to the wall outlet.) The battery indicator on the
LCD display will begin flashing and getting full.
The battery indicator will stop flashing when the battery is full.
You may enjoy the music while the device is in charging.
It will be charged automatically when the player is connected to the computer via USB cable; However, it is
recommended not to charge the player for a long time via USB cable.
Caution:
Please charge the player with the supplied charger.
For the best performance of battery, please fully charge the player (12 hours) when charging
it for the first time. After that, it will take about 2 hours to charge it fully.

Built-in Speaker
There is a built-in speaker in the player. For the position of speaker switch, please refer to the following
drawing:
Push the switch to the position , you can turn on the speaker, and push it to the position you can
turn off the device.
Lock button
When “HOLD” button works, all the buttons cannot be operated to avoid mis-operation on the buttons
arising from sporting or squeezing in the bags.
Push HOLD button towards arrowhead direction to lock all the buttons, and unlock them in the reverse
direction.

Power ON/OFF
When the player is under unlocking state:
Power ON
Under Power-off state, long press the button [ ] to turn on the player and
enter main menu.
(Note: long press = press a button for a few seconds
short press = press a button briefly or shortly)
Power OFF
Long press the button [ ] to turn off the player until progress bar is full.

Function Menu
Menu options
Enter main menu after turning on the player (long press the button [M] when the player is in other states, it
goes to main menu), then press the button [ ] or the button [+] /[-] to select the desired option, and
short press the button [M] to enter.

Music Play
Short press the button [M] to select [music] in the main menu and enter.
Short press the button [ ] to start playing. Under play state, short press it to pause
playing, and long press to stop playing. (Under stop state, long press this button to turn off the
player.)
Press the buttons [+] /[-] to adjust the volume.
Press the buttons [ ] to select a desired song.
Short press the button [M] to exit from song list, press the buttons [+][-]to select a desired

song and press the button [ ] to start playing.
Long press the button [M] to exit from music play and return to the main menu.
Notes: Battery can play 14hours music under the following conditions:
Playing 128K bits/second MP3 files
Screen, external speaker and lyric display turned off
A-B Repeat
Under play state, short press [A-B/EQ] button to select the starting point A while an icon “A-“ will show on
the LCD display. Press it again to select the ending point B while an icon “A-B” will show on the LCD
display, then the player will repeat playing the part from point A to point B. Short press the button [A-B/EQ]
for the third time to exit and return to normal playback.

Under play state, long press the button [A-B/EQ] to switch among various EQs.

Record
When the player is in main menu or under pause/stop state during music play, long press the button
[A-B/EQ] to start recording. During recording, short press the button [ ] to pause/resume recording.
Short press the button [A-B/EQ] again to stop recording and be ready for playing the record. The record file
will be saved in the loose-leaf folder [VOICE] at the same time.
Lyric Sync Display
The player supports lyric synchronic display in LRC format.
You may download a lyric file in LRC format on the Internet or edit a LRC lyric file with the lyric editor.
Please name the lyric file with the same name as that of the corresponding song, then copy it to the same
directory as that of the corresponding song. After that, when you play the song, the corresponding lyric will
show on the LCD display at the same time.
Tips:
You may use both WINAMP music play software and LRC lyric editor to edit lyrics for your music files.
For details, please refer to the user manuals of the above software.

Movie Play
The player supports *.SMV video format.
You may download via the Internet or use the supplied software to convert *.SMV video files and copy
them into the player.
Select the option [Movie] and short press the button [M] to enter video menu.
Press the button [ ] to select a video file, and press the buttons [V+][V-] to adjust the volume.
Short press the button [M] to exit from movie list, and press the button [+][-] to select a desired movie, then
press the button [M] or [ ] to start playing.
When playing a movie play, short press the button [A-B/EQ] to hide the area of status.
Long press the button [M] to exit from video playback and return to the main menu.

Picture Browse
The player supports picture files in *.JPG and *.BMP formats.
Press [M] in main menu and select [Picture browse] and enter. You may switch among various pictures
pressing the buttons [ ].
Long press [+] to zoom in the picture, and long press [-] to zoom it out.
Short press [M] to exit from picture list, and press [M] or [ ] button to start browsing in a full screen
after selecting a desired picture.
Long press [A-B/EQ] to enter the mode of auto picture browse.
Long press [M] to exit from picture browse and return to the main menu.

FM Radio
In main menu, press [M] to select the option [FM Radio] and enter.
At the moment, press the button [ ] to switch between [Tuning] and [Scanning].
When selecting [Scanning], long press [ ] to start searching continuously for broadcasting channels
automatically, and save the channels in sequence after locating them.
When selecting [Scanning], short press [ ] to fine-tune the current channel forward or backward.
Long press [ ], it searches for channels forward or backward and locates them automatically. At the
moment, long press [M] to select the option [Save a channel] and short press it again to save the current
channel.
When selecting [Tuning], short press [ ] to select and listen to a channel.
Under tuning mode, long press [M] to delete the current channel you are listening to. And short press [M] to
exit from tuning mode and return to main menu.
When tuning/scanning, the earphone cable will also act as antenna. Please ensure that the earphone cable is
connected to the player.
FM Line-in record
When listening to a channel, long press [A-B/EQ] to record the program you are listening to, press [ ]

to pause/resume recording, and the record file (F *.wav format) will be saved in the FM folder of the player
automatically.
When recording, press [A-B/EQ] to exit from record mode and return to tuning mode.
The record file can be played in the mode of music play.
Record
1. Long press [A-B/EQ] button in the main menu to enter voice recording and start recording.
2. Short press [M] in the main menu to select [Record], enter and start recording.
Under record state, press [ ] button to pause/resume recording, short press [A-B/EQ] button to
stop recording and start playing the record file.

E-book
Short press [M] in the main menu, select [E-book] and enter.
Press [+] [-] button or [ ] button to page up or page down.
When reading E-book, short press [M] button to exit from E-book list, and press [ ] button to select
an E-book directory and press [M] or [ ] to read an E-book.
Long press [M] to exit from reading E-book.
E-book read function supports files in TXT format; you may download files via the Internet or edit TXT
files on your computer, and then transfer them into the player for reading.

Navigation
Press [M] in the main menu to select [Navigation] and enter.
a:/ RAM
b:/ Extended memory (SD/MMC memory card)
Press [+][-] to select a file or folder forward or backward.
When selecting a folder, press [ ] button to open it.
In a directory, press [ ] to return to the previous directory.
When selecting, press [M] or [ ] button to open the current file selected.

System Setting
Short press the button [M] in the main menu to enter [System setting]. Press [+][-] to select the desired
option, and press [M] to enter.
Play mode
After entering, press the button [ ] to select a play mode for playing audio files.
Normal: play all the music files one by one and stop.
Repeat one: play the current music file, and repeat playing it.
Repeat all: play all music files one by one, and repeat them all.
Shuffle repeat: randomly play all the music files and stop
Play intro: each music file will be played for 10 seconds, then go on with the next.
EQ Setting
After entering, press [ ] to select an EQ for playing audio files.
Normal --Rock --Jazz --Classic--Pop--Bass
Contrast
After entering, press [ ] to adjust the contrast of the display.
