Dear Customer, thank you for having chosen the “Made in Italy” IN-LINE system.
The IN-LINE system comes complete with all the components you need to install the drinking water filter system quickly and
easily under your kitchen sink.

UNDERSINK FILTERS
INSTALLATION, USE AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL
INSTALLATION AND START-UP PROCEDURE
1. Turn the cold water tap (24) OFF.
2. Position a basin (25) (N.B.: not included) under the filter (14) to collect water from the filter during the IN-LINE start-up
procedure (or during maintenance).
3. Use a normal drill to make a 12 mm hole in the sink top, preferably in the position marked “H”. If the sink top is porcelain,
use a suitable drill though you are advised to have a professional do this.
4. Fit the dedicated tap (1) to the sink top at “H”. Components (1), (2) and (3) go above the sink top while (5), (6), and (7) fit
below as shown in the diagram. Tighten the nut (7) to fix the tap to the sink.
5. Insert the hose (10) in the hose lock nut (8) then insert the hose (10) inside the plastic ring (9).
6. Insert the hose (10) in the threaded part of the tap (1) then tighten the hose lock nut (8).
7. Connect the main body of the by-pass unit (21) to the cold water piping (23) keeping the female threads facing up and
the male down: screw the by-pass unit to the piping applying one turn of tape around the joint (NB: included) to make a
good seal. Screw the part of the by-pass unit with the lever (20) to the by-pass unit main body (21) using tape keeping
the lever in the OFF position.
8. Fit the hose (10) to the by-pass unit: insert the hose in the by-pass unit body (20) through the hose lock nut (22) then
tighten the nut.
9. Position the filter (14) vertically or horizontally on the base under the sink, preferably on the same side as the dedicated

tap. If preferred, the filter can be fixed to the wall under the sink using the clamps (18): in this case, fix the clamps (18)
to the wall using the screws provided (19).
10. Fit the hoses (10) to the quick-fit couplings (11) of the inlet (12-IN) and outlet (13-OUT) on the filter (14).
11. Turn the dedicated tap (1) to the ON position by pointing the lever (2) upward.
12. Turn the cold water tap (24) ON.
13. Aprire lentamente la leva del bypass (20). Non dimenticare di tenere una vaschetta (25) sotto al filtro per la raccolta
dell’acqua.
14. Keep the lever in the upward position and let several litres flow through the system before using it.
MAINTENANCE
Changing the cartridge and cleaning the filter bowl.
1. Turn the cold water tap (24) OFF.
2. Chiudere il bypass (20). Non dimenticare di tenere una vaschetta (25) sotto al filtro per la raccolta dell’acqua.
3. Remove the cartridge (17) from the filter.
4. Clean the filter housing (15) using only cold water. Do NOT use abrasive sponges, powders or solvents.
5. Fit a new cartridge in the filter housing (15) then screw the housing to the head of the filter (14).
6. Tighten the head of the filter to the housing using the spanner (15).
7. To re-start your IN-LINE filter system, follow procedure A: 11-12-13-14.
WARNING
- For proper cartridge maintenance and use, pay close attention to the instructions on the label.
- How long a filter lasts depends upon the type of application, flow rate and quantity of water filtered.
- Make sure you comply with local regulations when disposing of used cartridges.
- The IN-LINE filter is NOT a water treatment system: Do NOT use undrinkable water or water whose quality is unknown.

b. Maximum temperature 45°C

TROUBLE SHOOTING
Remove the hose (10) then re-insert pressing it in as far as
possible. If the leak continues, remove the hose again and check
that it is not damaged. If necessary, cut the hose above the
(damage) leak then fit it firmly once more to the quick-fit
coupling.
Check the seal on the cold water piping. If necessary, apply
some tape to the threads on the by-pass (21) and cold water
piping (23).
Check the seal on the main body of the by-pass unit (21). If
necessary, apply some tape to the threads on the by-pass (21).
Undo the nut, remove the hose then re-insert pressing it in as
far as possible. If the leak continues, remove the hose again and
check that it is not damaged. If necessary, cut the hose above
the damage (leak) then fit it firmly once more to the by-pass or
the threads of the dedicated tap (1) and tighten up the nut.
Turn the cold water tap (24) and by-pass lever (20) OFF and,
pressing the filter housing against the head of the filter, check
that the seal is perfect. If the leak continues, change the O-rings
(16) on the filter housing (15) (NB: spare O-rings are supplied).
Change the cartridge as explained in the MAINTENANCE section.
CONDITIONS OF GUARANTEE
- Keep the label from the box for product identification purposes.
- The guarantee conditions that apply comply with Directive 85/374 EEC for EU countries. For non-EU countries, the product
is covered for 12 months from the date of purchase on production of a valid receipt. Any request for reimbursement must
be made in writing to the point of sale or to Atlas Filtri srl,Via del Santo 227, I-35010 Limena, Italy. Persons seeking damages
must: Identify the product, where and when it was bought; supply the product for inspection; clearly demonstrate any
connection between the malfunction and damage caused. For any disputes arising out of the interpretation or terms of this
guarantee, jurisdiction will be held by Padua District Court.
Water leak from quick-fit couplings (11).
Water leak from the main body of the by-pass unit (21).
Water leak from the body of the by-pass unit with the
lever (20).
Water leak from the by-pass hose lock nut (22) and
dedicated tap (1).
Water leak from the filter (14).
Poor flow or unpleasant smell/taste of water from the
tap (1).
RANGE OF CARTRIDGES FOR IN-LINE FILTERS
-CPP in-line - Melt-blown polypropylene: 5 to 25 micron sediment filter, filter life of up to 3 months.
-HA In-line - Polyphosphate crystals: scale and corrosion control, filter life of up to 6 months.
-LA In-line - Granular activated carbon: reduces chlorine and improves taste and odour, service life of up to 3 months.
-CA-SE In-line - Solid block activated carbon: 5-micron sediment filter, reduces chlorine and improves taste and odour,
filter life of up to 3 months.
-CA-SE In-line HF/U - Solid block activated carbon, with micro- or ultra-filtration membranes: fine sediment filtration
at 0.15 at 0.02 microns, reduces chlorine and improves taste and odour, service life up to 3 months.
