Fuel and tyre
pressures

Fuel tank flap
To open:
Press the switch on the
driver’s door.
To close:
Press the tank flap until you hear
it click into place.
Engine oil
The correct oil specifi-
cations and engine oil
capacity are listed in
the Performance,
weights and dimen-
sions section of the
Owner’s Manual.
Warning triangle
The compartment for the
warning triangle is located
behind the cover in the tailgate.

cannot replace the detailed Owner’s
Manual which contains important
information and safety warnings.
Please refer to your Owner's Manual for

TV and telephone functions in the
Infotainment/MMI Operating Manual.

Switching on the ignition/starting the
engine
On vehicles without the advanced key, start
the engine in the normal way using the car
key. On vehicles with the advanced key, you
can start the engine without inserting the
key in the ignition lock.
To switch on the ignition: Press the START
button down to the first stop. The glow
plugs on diesel engines start preheating in
this position.
To start the engine: Press the brake pedal
(on an automatic vehicle move the selector
lever to Por N) and press the START button
down to the second stop.
To switch off the engine: Stop the vehicle
(on an automatic vehicle move the selector
lever to position Por N) and press the
STOP button.
If you press the STOP button again for at
least one second,
this will lock
the steering.
Locking and unlocking the vehicle
The advanced key allows you to lock and
unlock the vehicle without handling the
key itself. You only need to have the
remote control key on your person.
To unlock the vehicle:
Take hold of one of the door handles
or press the release catch on the tailgate.
To lock the vehicle:
Move the selector lever (on an automatic
vehicle) to position P.
Press the exterior locking switch eon one
of the door handles.
To open the tailgate:
The tailgate will spring open slightly when
you unlock it.
To unlock:
Press the button on the remote
control key, or
Press the button on the driver’s door
or the release catch on the tailgate.
To close the power-operated tailgate:
Press the button inside the open tailgate.

Manual seat adjustment
To adjust lumbar support:
Press the appropriate part of
the switch.
To move seat backwards or
forwards:
Lift the lever and move the
seat. Then release the lever
and move the seat further
until the catch engages.
To adjust seat height:
Pull up or press down the
lever.
To adjust backrest:
Take your weight off the
backrest and turn the knob.

Adjusting head restraint
To lower, press button pon the
side of the head restraint. The
top of the head restraint should
be at eye level or higher.

To adjust seat height and move seat
backwards or forwards:
Front of seat cushion up/down
Rear of seat cushion up/down
Seat up/down
Seat forwards/backwards
To adjust backrest:
Backrest further upright/
further reclined
To adjust lumbar support:
Press the appropriate
part of the switch.

Sitting position
Sit in a normal upright position and
do not sit too close to the steering
wheel. If necessary, also adjust the
position of the steering wheel.

First steps

Panorama roof
The two roof segments are opened/closed
separately when the ignition is on.
To open/close the front segment:
Comfort position: Turn control to
position e.
To open: Turn control towards runtil the
roof reaches the desired position.
To close: Turn control to position .
To tilt open/close the front segment:
Briefly press/pull control in position .
Press/pull the control and hold it to tilt the
roof to any desired position.
To tilt open/close the rear segment:
Briefly press the appropriate symbol on
the rocker switch or on the switch in the
rear headliner. Press and hold the rocker
switch to tilt the roof to any desired
position.

Speed and distance control
The adaptive cruise control is a cruise
control with integrated distance control.
To switch on/off: Pull/press lever u.
To set speed: Press button t.
To adjust stored speed: Press lever uup
(faster) or down (slower).
The adaptive cruise control will automati-
cally apply the brakes as you approach
a vehicle in front.
To increase/reduce the distance: Press
switch rto the right/left.
Technology
lane assist
Audi lane assist
The lane assist detects lane markings (e.g. on
a motorway). If the vehicle approaches one of
the lane markings, the steering wheel vibrates to
warn you. The warning does not occur if you
operate the turn signals before changing lane.
To activate/deactivate the system, press
button eon the turn signal lever.

MMI controls and displays
Driver information system
Multi-function steering wheel
Scroll the left thumbwheel to select a menu item in the
driver information system. Press the thumbwheel to
confirm the selection.
Press the MODE button to switch between the active audio
source and the navigation and telephone functions.
Briefly press the button (talk button) to switch on the
speech dialogue system.
Speak after the <beep>, e.g. say <Help Radio> to call up the
possible commands for operating the radio.
Press and hold the talk button to switch off the speech
dialogue system.
Scroll the right thumbwheel to adjust the volume. If you
press the right thumbwheel, the last navigation cue will be
repeated.

Starting the navigation system

Establishing a BluetoothTM connection
for a mobile phone
You can quickly connect a Bluetooth
mobile phone to the MMI:
pSwitch on the ignition, the MMI system
and your mobile phone.
pOn your mobile phone, select the menu
that looks for Bluetooth devices (e.g.
”Hands-free”).
pEnter the PIN ”1234” on your mobile
phone.
Driver assistance systems
Many of the driver assistance systems on
your Audi can be configured and operated
by pressing the CAR button.
Please refer to your Owner's Manual for
detailed descriptions.

display while you are driving, stop the car
immediately, switch off the engine and refer
