Please read and follow all usage and care
guidelines in order to maximise the life of
your Avanti®product.
1. Insert 2 x AAA batteries into battery compartment.
2. To ensure accurate measurements, place scales on a
flat, stable, non-slip platform.
3. Press ON/OFF button to turn scales on. The LCD will
display “-18888” for a couple of seconds and then will
set to zero.
4. Press the UNIT button to select the unit of measure
you desire.
5. Place ingredients on the centre of platform to weigh.
6. To add additional ingredients, re-zero the LCD screen
by pressing the ON/OFF button.
7. To turn the scales off, press the ON/OFF button for
3 seconds or scales will turn off automatically after
120 seconds.
• To clean: wipe glass platform with a damp cloth and
dry thoroughly.
• Do not place objects on the scales if not weighing.
• Handle and move scales with care.

• For household use only.
• Do not immerse scales in water.
• Do not use the device if any part of the scales is
cracked or damaged.
• If weight exceeds maximum capacity of 5kg, “err”
will be displayed on the LCD screen. Remove object
immediately to avoid damage to the scales.
• A battery symbol will appear in the bottom left hand
corner of the LCD screen. This symbol denotes the
battery energy levels. When the battery energy is low,
the characters “lo” will appear on the LCD screen
and then scales will shut off automatically.
• The scales are made with sensitive electronic
components; keep away from any heat sources and
areas where there is excessive moisture.
• If the scales exhibit erratic symptoms such as
inaccurate data, try moving the scales away from the
source of interference.
