Release Notes for Avaya IX Tracking camera TC220 Software Upgrade 21
Upgrade
In order to perform the TC220 upgrade the steps are:
1. Connect and configure the IP Address of the Tracking camera as described in the “Preliminary”
section.
2. Save the “Avaya IX Tracking TC220 Software Upgrade package” .exe file in your Windows PC.
3. Verify that the PC is connected to the network in wired mode (otherwise the upgrade process
can be very slow when using a wireless connection) and that it can ping the TC220 camera ip
address. It is strongly suggested to upgrade the camera only when it is connected to the network
in wired mode.
4. Double click the software package .exe file.
5. Manually insert the IP address of the TC220 in the “IP Address Field” and click the “Check”
button to verify the current version running in the camera.
Warning
When the tool is executed, it automatically might detect the IP Address of the TC220 camera
that is in the same subnet of the PC that is running the upgrade tool and adds it inside the IP
Address field. Please verify that the IP Address field is filled with the right IP Address of the
TC220 you want to upgrade, set as described in the “Preliminary Section”.
6. Start the upgrade clicking on “Upgrade Button”. The progress while uploading file and writing it
to the camera are displayed below.
Warning
• Do not disconnect the Ethernet cable during the upgrade
7. Wait until the software upgrade is completed
8. The camera automatically reboots.
During this reboot no camera icon is displayed in the codec.
The cameras move to complete a new initialization.
9. Enter again in XT HD1 camera menu:
[WEB] ADMINISTRATOR SETTINGS->I/O CONNECTIONS->CAMERAS->HD1
[GUI] CONFIGURE->ADVANCED->I/O CONNECTIONS->CAMERAS->HD1
and set Tracking=Yes.
