A.Introduction
Thank you for choosingthe portable DVD player. The main features
includea 22CMWideScreen (16:9 Aspect Ratio)LiquidCrystal
Display(LCD)monitorandaDVD player. The unit applies the latest
state ofthe art electronics and is designed for use in hotels, offices
oryourhome.The unit is constructed toprovideyearsofreliable,
trouble-free service, and is compact so that you can take itwithyou
anywhereand is designed forquickand easyinstallation.Please read
theentire instructionmanual suppliedwith thisproductprior to using.
Thedocumentation will assist youininstalling thesystem properlyto
obtain thebest equipment performance. Please savethismanual for
later use.
B. Cautions and Warnings
1. Placement
Toprevent fireorelectric shock,donotexpose this appliance to
rain or moisture.Donot place the set on an unstable cart, stand,
tripod, bracket ortable toprevent it fromfalling. Keeptheunit away
from strongmagnets,heatsources,directsunlight, excessive dust.
Ifthe unit is brought directlyfrom a cold to a warm location, mois-
ture maycondense inside the unit. When you move it from a cold
toa warm location, wait forabout one hourbefore operating the
unit, or removethe discandleave theunitturnedonuntilthemois-
ture evaporates.
2. Installation
Ensurethatthe22CM portable DVD playeris installed inaccor-
dancewiththeinstructions andillustrations provided inthis manual.
3. Caution
Do not push objects ofany kindinto the unit throughopenings;
do not spill or sprayliquid ofanykind on or in the system (this
mayresult in a fire or electric shock). Do not place anything
heavy onthe unit. Toensure proper ventilation and proper

operation,never cover or blocktheslots and openings with acloth
or other material. Keepthe unit awayfrom an open flame such as
fire,candle etc. Itishazardous toreplacethe batteryincorrectly.
Replacethe batteryonly with thesame or equivalenttype, in order
to protect the environment, please dispose the batteryproperly.
Do not use the unit in temperatures higher than 95 degrees Fahr-
enheit or 35 degrees Celsius.
4.Disassemble
Do not attempt to disassemble the cabinet. There is ariskofelec-
tricshock and/orexposure to LaserRadiation. Contact qualified
service personnel ifyour system needs repair.
5.Cleaning Unit
Whencleaning,makesurethe system isunplugged fromthe power
source. Donotuseliquid cleaners or aerosolcleaners. Usea cloth
lightly dampenedwith waterfor cleaningtheexterior ofthe system
only.
6. Disc
Do not use irregularlyshaped discs such asheart orstar-shaped
discs as theymay cause the unittomalfunction.Donotstickpaper,
tapeor glue on the disc. Do not expose thedisc to direct sunlight
or heat sources. Do not touchthe surface ofdisc. Handle thedisc
by itsedge. Cleanthedisc bywipingthedisc from the center out
with acleaning cloth. Removethe disc from the unit and store it in
its case after playing. Some playbackoperationsofdiscs maybe
intentionally fixed bysoftwareproducers. Since this unitplays discs
according to the disc contentsthesoftwareproducers designed,
some playbackfeatures maynot be available. Also refer to the in-
structionssuppliedwiththediscs.

7.RegionalCoding
Both theDVDplayer and disc are coded by region. These
regional codes must match inorder for thedisc toplay.Ifthe
codesdon t match, the disc wont play. This unit s code is region

D. Powering and installation
1. Powering the system indoors (Refer to Figure 1)
Plug one end of theAC to DC adapterinto the DCinputjackon the
left side ofthe mainunit, then plugthe otherend intothe 110~240V
AC power receptacle.
2. Powering the systemin a car
Plugoneend ofthecigarette lighteradapter into the DC inputjack
on the unit, then plugthe otherendintothe cigarettelightersocket.

Note: Unplugthe apparatus when not usingfor alongtime or
intent to disconnect from the Mains power.
3.Installation In Vehicle
1) Take out carrybagandunit. Openthemforinstallation.
2) Placeunit into thebag across the waist flexand make sure
four corners of unit are tightenedby narrow flexes.
3) Place the bag withunit into backofcar seat and fasten it into
the headrest with length adjustable waist strap.
4) Handlethecarrying widestrapon thetop portionofbagnotto
turn backscreen.

a.After connecting powerto theunit, poweron “DVDplayer”with the
power switch. The powerindicator will light.
b.Openthe disc tray by slidingOPEN switch, and place adiscinto
the tray with the label sidefacing up.
c. Close thetray bypressingthe area marked “PRESS”.Theunitwill
load the discand start playing.
d.Rotate BRIGHTNESS andVOLUME toadjust theLCD sbright-
nessand the DVD player s volume.
e. To stopplaying adisc,pressSTOP.

H.Menu
A DVD is divided into sections called titlesandchapters. When you
play a DVD,aroot menu ofthedisc will appearonthescreen ofyour
TVor Monitor. Thecontentsofthe menu varyfrom disc to disc.
Press MENU duringplaybackto display the menu. Some DVDs only
allowyou to select disc playbackoptions using the DVD root menu.
I. Display
1. PLAYINGTIME AND REMAININGTIME
a. Duringplaybackpress the ‘DISPLAY button to displaythe cur-
rent Title Number (1), the total Number ofTitles (2), the current
ChapterNumber (3), thetotal Numberof Chapters (4), andthe
Playing elapsedTimefor thetitle (5). Theheadingwill disappear
automaticallyafter 3 seconds ifDISPLAYbuttonis not pressed.

2. SUBTITLE
Duringdisc playbackpress ‘SUBTITLE toselectthe subtitle language
youdesire*,withthecurrentSubtitle LanguageNumber(1) andthe
total Number of Subtitle Languages(2)displayed. Ifthere are mul-
tiplelanguagespress ‘SUBTITLE againto selectanother subtitlelan-
guage.Toturn subtitles OFF,press the ‘SUBTITLE button until ‘Sub-
titleOff isdisplayed.TheSubtitledisplay willdisappearautomatically
ifthe ‘SUBTITLE button is not pressed again within 3 seconds.

3. AUDIO
Duringplaybackpress ‘AUDIO to select theaudiolanguage you
desire*, withthe currentAudio Channel Number(1)andthe total num-
ber of AudioChannels(2)displayed.PressAUDIOagain to select
anotheraudio language. The audiodisplaywill disappear automati-
callyifthe ‘AUDIO button is not pressed within for 3 seconds.
*SomeDVDsonly allow accessto this functionthrough theDVD menu.

Duringplaybackpress ‘ZOOM to enlargethe picture by2x, 3x or 4X
with the current zoom multiple.(1)Press “zoom”once,the picture will
be enlarged 2X.(2)Press “zoom”asecond time ,the picture willbe
enlarged 3X.(3)Press “zoom”a 3rd time ,the picture will be enlarged
4X.(4)Press “zoom”a 4thtime ,the picture will return to normal size.

CD has been playing.
Total Remain: The current track playingand the amountoftime
remainingon the CD.
Display Off:The CD time Information will notbe displayed.

USING THE1/ALLREPEATFEATURE
Thedefaultmode forthe Repeat feature isOFF.PressingREPEAT
consecutively changes the repeat options:
•Track-repeats the track that isplaying.
•All-repeats the disc that isplaying.
•Repeat Off
Asyou toggle throughthe options,the repeatoptionchanges. The selected
repeat option loops repeatedly until you turn itoff.
K.Playing MP3 Discs
MP3isa format for storingdigital audio.AnaudioCD-quality songis
compressed into theMP3 format with very littleloss ofaudio quality
whiletaking up much less disc space.CD-R/RWdiscs that have
beenencoded in MP3formatare compatible with this system.
Whenan MP3discis insertedintothe unit, themenuscreenappears
automatically.Youcanuse themenuscreentoselect your desired
foldersandsongs orthesystem plays thesongs in theorder they
were burned onto the disc.
1.Press the or buttontochoosea folderfrom thefolder liston
the leftsideof the screen.
2. Press ENTERto select thehighlighted folder. The songs avail-
able under the folder willbe listed.
3.Use or buttontochooseasongfromthe list. PressENTER
to select and begin playback ofthehighlightedsong.

4. Use the ( NEXT ) button to move to the nextsong. Press the
(PREVIOUS) button to moveto the beginningofthe previous
song.
USINGTHEREPEATFEATURE
Thedefault modefor the Repeat feature isOFF. Pressing REPEAT
consecutively changes the repeat options:
•Repeat One (repeat playback ofa song)
•Repeat Folder (repeatplaybackofa specific folder)
•RepeatOff (normal playback)
As you toggle throughthe options, the repeat mode changes. The
selected repeat mode loops repeatedly until you turn it off.

“”iconinfrontofafilenameindicatesthat thisisafolder,notan
MP3file.
“MP3”iconin frontofafilenameindicates that thisis aMP3 file.

L. Playing JPG files
1) Loadthe JPG Discinto tray.
2)Pressingthe “MENU“Key will return to the digest view,andchoose
thepicture yourdesireby “RIGHT”and “LEFT”,andturn tothe
previousandnextpage by “PREVIOUS”or “NEXT”.
3)YoucanpreviewtheJPGfile which youselected bypressing“PLAY”
or “ENTER”.
4) Pressingthe “DOWN“Key will rotate the picture 90 degrees
clockwise.
5) Pressingthe “UP“Keywillreturn to the upper mode.
6)Whenpreviewing thefile,pressing“ANGLE”,“SUBTITLE”, “AUDIO”,
“AB”, “REW/FF”a hand icon will appear on the display meaning
that theseoptions are not available.
