INTRODUCTION
The SW18AV2 is a high power compact subwoofer designed to partner ED series point source loudspeakers for xed installaons
in discotheques, nightclubs and bars, and live music clubs, and for portable corporate audio-visual applicaons. It features a high
excursion 4” voice coil, 18” driver equipped with a double centred spider that maintains linear voice coil travel even at high output
levels. The phenolic birch plywood cabinet is equipped with pole mount socket, stacking feet, ush handles, and heavy duty wheels
to enable easy handling and transportaon.
The SW18AV2 subwoofer system is equipped with a high power 18” (460mm) transducer capable of long excursion (up to 30mm
peak-to-peak), controlled by high sness Double Silicon Spider as centering suspension and by heavy duty surround. The motor
structure features high strength (BL²/Re) with opmized symmetry and excursion controlled by Inner Flux Demodulang Ring. The
robust copper 100mm (4”) voice coil is wounded in two dierent layers both outside and inside the coil support, then doubling the
coil surface exposed to air cooling and consequently improving the long term thermal capacity of the loudspeaker. Cones are made
of very high-sness glass ber reinforced paper, featuring also invisible water repellent treatment.
The SW18AV2 is processed by 40 bit oang point CORE2 DSP and powered by a high eciency CLASS D amplier module with a
newly designed power supply equipped with PFC, which reduces the power consumpon while enhancing reliability and consistency
in all operang condions. It will deliver punchy bass performance from a very compact cabinet, and thanks to the integral pole
mount socket partners well with any of the ED series of point source loudspeakers in portable corporate audio-visual applicaons,
while its small size enables it to be easily ed into ght venue spaces.
