PRECAUTIONS
- Do not expose the dash camera to excessive dust, dirt or sandy conditions - which
may damage the camera or components.
- High temperatures can shorten the life span of electronic devices and extremely high
temperatures will degrade the plastic components and/or shorten the battery.
- Extremely low temperatures can also damage the electronic components.
- Do not try to dismantle or open the casing. Doing so may cause electrical shock and
will most likely damage the unit.
- Do not mistreat the dash camera by dropping, sudden impact or vibration.
- Please clean the dash camera with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid using cleaning
solutions or chemicals.

QUICK START GUIDE
- 1) Plug the cigarette charger into the cigarette socket and connect the DVR6 to the
charger.
- 2) After the DVR automatically turns on, hold the UP button to access the menu.
Press the UP and DOWN buttons to navigate the menu.
Select the DATE AND TIME setting with the ENTER button, then use the UP
and down buttons to select your states current time zone. This is essential.
Press the ENTER button repeatedly to save and exit the menu.
The time will be automatically adjusted later via GPS.
- 3) Connect the mounting bracket.
- 4) Insert up to two Micro SD cards with a capacity of 128GB each or less into the
DVR. It is recommended that the Micro SD cards be formatted before use.
(Refer to page 8).
-5) Stick the bracket + DVR6 to the windshield using the adhesive provided. The DVR6
can be rotated to achieve the desired angle. The wedges provided can be used to
achieve more optimal angles.
Your DVR6 is now ready to be used. Enjoy!

* If connecting the SD card from DVR6 into your computer, you may require new
codecs to successfully play back recorded high resolution videos. SEE PAGE 18

STORAGE CARD PREPARATION
- The camera supports dual MicroSD cards, both 128GB MAX. It is recommended to
use Class 6 or Class 10 high speed MicroSD cards to avoid storage problems.
- The videos can be stored in card A or card B slot depending on the setting.
- Insert a MicroSD card in the card slot. The camera will start auto recording if the power
is on once cards are formatted. See page 8 “Format Card”.
RECORDING A VIDEO
- When the camera is in standby, press the OK button to start recording.
- When the camera is recording, press the OK button to stop and enter standby.

TAKING A PHOTO
- When the camera is in standby, hold the OK button for 2 seconds to take
a photo.
PLAYBACK ON CAMERA
- When the camera is in standby, hold the DOWN button to enter playback
on the camera.
- When the camera is in playback, hold the DOWN button for standby.
- When the camera is in playback, hold the UP and DOWN buttons to highlight the video
or photo you want to review, then press OK to view.
- When the camera is in playback, press the UP and DOWN buttons to highlight the
video or photo you want to edit, then hold UP button to activate the sub-menu:

OPERATION

PLAYBACK ON TV
- When the camera is connected to a TV with a HDMI cable, the camera screen will turn

playback on the camera.
- To connect a TV for playback via an AV connection, use the customised AV-out cable
(optional accessory). Plug it into the MicroUSB port on the camera body.
PLAYBACK ON COMPUTER
- To review the videos or photos on a computer, a MicroSD card reader can be used.
- GPS PLAYER program is placed in the PLAYER folder when a MicroSD card is
formatted by the camera, which can play back the video recording with GPS traces.

- If you do not have a MicroSD card reader, connect the camera to your computer with
the supplied USB cable. The camera will be recognised as a mass storage device.
RECORDING MUTE VIDEO
- When the camera is in either standby or recording, press the UP button to mute the
microphone inside the camera at any time. Press the UP button again to cancel
mute status.
SOS MANUAL PROTECT VIDEO
- The camera supports automatic loop recording which means the oldest video will
be over-written by new video when the card is almost full, unless the video is protected

FORMAT CARDS
1. Format both micro SD cards in a computer (FAT32).
2. Put both cards into the DVR6 and turn the DVR6 on.
3. In the settings > ‘choose card’, select card A.

- When you want to mount the camera up-side-down, the setting will rotate the
recorded image 180° so the correct orientation will appear on your TV/computer.

- This adjusts the LDWS reference lines to improve the LDWS operation. Please use the
UP and DOWN buttons to move the top line to the height of the horizon and the
bottom line to the height of the front of your car.

- Motion detection is used to reduce the amount of storage space used. When no
motion is detected, the camera will switch to standby.

MOUNTING
CAMERA SPECIFICATIONS
The DVR6 camera is designed for easy & quick mounting to your windscreen with the
VHB sticker pad.
1) Mount the camera to the mounting bracket with power cable plugged into either the
mount or camera body.
2) Check for a suitable position on the windscreen with the camera powered on.

4) Stick the VHB sticker pad to the mount bracket or wedge and attach to your
windshield. Hold the mount for a few seconds to ensure good adhesion.
5) Power on the camera and check the camera display again.
- To demount the camera, just slide the camera out from the mounting bracket. It is not
neccessary to remove.
- To remove the mounting bracket from your windscreen, please use a thin cord with a
sawing motion to cut between the VHB sticker and your windshield and pull the cord

- The recommended mounting location for the DVR6 is at the centre of the windscreen,
just behind the rear view mirror. This is usually a hidden location and will not hinder
safe driving.

- The DVR6 camera can be powered by the lighter socket lead or hardwire kit.
- The lighter power socket is an easy & fast connecting method.
- The hardwire kit is a tidy solution. The 12V leads are connected to the car fuse or
vehicle battery and the 5V lead is connected to your camera. The output power can
be constant to support the Motion Detection function of the camera.
- There is a Low Voltage Protection in the hardwire kit to protect the car battery from
draining.

CANT RECORD A VIDEO OR TAKE A PICTURE
Please check that there is enough storage space on the MicroSD card, or if you have

POWER INDICATOR DOESN’T WORK
If the power supply is less that 600mA current, the camera can’t be charged and the
power indicator will not work.
IMAGE HAS HORIZONTAL STRIPES INTERFERENCE
This is due to the wrong setting of “Flicker”. Please adjust to the local power supply
frequency, reset the Flicker: 50Hz.
CAMERA DOESN’T AUTO START RECORDING WHEN THE CAR ENGINE IS STARTED
Please make sure the loop recording is 1/3/5 minutes, not OFF. It will not auto start
recording when loop recording is OFF. Additionally, please check if the MicroSD card is
full. If yes, then please try to format the MicroSD card.

TROUBLESHOOTING
THE CAMERA CONTINUES AUTOMATIC RECORDING AND WONT STOP
Maybe the camera is working on Motion Detect mode. Check whether there is an icon on
the screen. When the Motion Detection is ON, it will auto start recording when a moving
object appears within the range of camera. When the motion ceases, the recording
will stop automatically until a moving object appears again. It is not easy to turn Motion

* If connecting the SD card from DVR6 into your computer, you may require new codecs
to successfully play back recorded high resolution videos. Without the correct codecs,
your computer may be unable to correctly decode high resolution recordings.
