Whichcapturemodetochoosedependsontherequirementsofframerateandresoutionforthespecicsurveiancesetup.For

Selectexposuremode
Therearedifferentexposuremodeoptionsinthecamerathatadjustsaperture,shutterspeed,andgaintoimproveimagequaityfor
specicsurveiancescenes.GotoSettings>Image>xposureandseectbetweenthefoowingexposuremodes:
•Formostusecases,seectAutomaticexposure.
•Forenvironmentswithcertainarticiaighting,forexampeuorescentighting,seectFlicker-free.
•Forenvironmentswithcertainarticiaightandbrightight,forexampeoutdoorswithuorescentightingatnightand
sunduringdaytime,seectFlicker-reduced.
•Toockthecurrentexposuresettings,seectHoldcurrent.

Youcancreateoneorseveraprivacymaskstohidepartsoftheimage.

thefacesofpassingpersonsareexpectedtoappear.Youcanthenseethenumberofpixesrepresentedbythesidesof
therectange.

Youcanuseanobjectofaknownsizeintheviewasareferencetodecidehowmuchresoutionisneededforrecognition.

Handlesceneswithstrongbacklight
Dynamicrangeisthedifferenceinightevesinanimage.Insomecasesthedifferencebetweenthedarkestandthebrightest
areascanbesignicant.Theresutisoftenanimagewhereeitherthedarkorthebrightareasarevisibe.Widedynamicrange
(WDR)makesbothdarkandbrightareasoftheimagevisibe.
