Increasingthemaxshutteraluecanresultinmotionblur.
•Theshutterspeedshouldbeasslowaspossible,whichmeansyoushouldsetmaxshuttertothehighestpossiblealue.
•Reducesharpnessintheimage.

aailableoptionsare:
MotionJPEG
MotionJPEGorMJPEGisadigitalideosequencethatismadeupofaseriesofindiidualJPEGimages.Theseimagesarethen
displayedandupdatedataratesufcienttocreateastreamthatshowsconstantlyupdatedmotion.Fortheiewertoperceiemotion
ideotheratemustbeatleast16imageframespersecond.Fullmotionideoisperceiedat30(NTSC)or25(PAL)framespersecond.
TheMotionJPEGstreamusesconsiderableamountsofbandwidth,butproidesexcellentimagequalityandaccesstoeeryimage
containedinthestream.
H.264orMPEG4Part10/AVC
Note
H.264isalicensedtechnology.TheAxisproductincludesoneH.264iewingclientlicense.Installingadditionalunlicensed
copiesoftheclientisprohibited.Topurchaseadditionallicenses,contactyourAxisreseller.
H.264can,withoutcompromisingimagequality,reducethesizeofadigitalideolebymorethan80%comparedtotheMotion
JPEGformatandbyasmuchas50%comparedtotheMPEG-4standard.Thismeansthatlessnetworkbandwidthandstoragespace
arerequiredforaideole.Orseenanotherway,higherideoqualitycanbeachieedforagienbitrate.

affecttheamountofbandwidth(thebitrate)required,otherscanaffecttheframerate,andsomeaffectboth.Iftheloadonthe
CPUreachesitsmaximum,thisalsoaffectstheframerate.
Thefollowingfactorsarethemostimportanttoconsider:
•Highimageresolutionorlowercompressionleelsresultinimagescontainingmoredatawhichinturnaffectsthe
bandwidth.
•AccessbylargenumbersofMotionJPEGorunicastH.264clientsaffectsthebandwidth.
•Simultaneousiewingofdifferentstreams(resolution,compression)bydifferentclientsaffectsbothframerateand
bandwidth.
Useidenticalstreamswhereerpossibletomaintainahighframerate.Streamprolescanbeusedtoensurethat
streamsareidentical.
•AccessingMotionJPEGandH.264ideostreamssimultaneouslyaffectsbothframerateandbandwidth.
•Heayusageofeentsettingsaffectstheproduct’sCPUloadwhichinturnaffectstheframerate.
