Thereismorethanonelensoptionforyourcamera.Whichlenstochoosedependsonthesurveillancerequirements.Thelenseshave
differentcapabilitieswhenitcomestolightsensitivityandeldofview.Seetheproduct’sdatasheetforlensalternatives.
Aboutepthofelansensorsize
Thedepthofelddependsonthelensaperture,thesizeoftheimagesensorandthedistancetothescene.Thelowerthef-number
andlargerthesensor,theshallowerdepthofeld.Duetothelargesensor,thedepthofeldismoreshallowinthisparticular
productthanintraditionalsurveillancecameras.Depthofeldbecomesshallowerindarkconditions,duetothefactthattheiris
opensuptoprovideenoughlighttothesensor.

Thefocuspointisaffectedbytheaperture(f-stop)ofthelens.Thelowerthef-stopvalue,themorelightreachestheimagesensor.

whentheapertureisaslargeaspossible,thedepthofelddecreasesandtheimagemaythereforeappearunfocused.

Axisdevicessendtheinitiallysetpasswordincleartextoverthenetwork.Toprotectyourdeviceaftertherstlogin,set
upasecureandencryptedHTTPSconnectionandthenchangethepassword.
Thedevicepasswordistheprimaryprotectionforthedataandservices.Axisdevicesdonotimposeapasswordpolicyastheymaybe
usedinvarioustypesofinstallations.Toprotectyourdatawerecommendthatyou:
•Changethedefaultpasswordthatcomeswitheachdevice.
•Useapasswordwithatleast8characters,preferablycreatedbyapasswordgenerator.
•Don’texposethepassword.
•Changethepasswordatarecurringinterval,atleastonceayear.
