TheMotionJPEGstreausesconsiderableaountsofbandwidth,butprovidesexcellentiagequalityandaccesstoeveryiage

H.264isalicensedtechnology.TheAxisproductincludesoneH.264viewingclientlicense.Installingadditionalunlicensed
copiesoftheclientisprohibited.Topurchaseadditionallicenses,contactyourAxisreseller.
H.264can,withoutcoproisingiagequality,reducethesizeofadigitalvideolebyorethan80%coparedtotheMotion
JPEGforatandbyasuchas50%coparedtotheMPEG-4standard.Thiseansthatlessnetworkbandwidthandstoragespace

TheStreamtabcontainssettingsforvideostreas.Yougetthesesettingsifyourequestavideostreafrotheproductanddon’t
specifyforexapleresolution,orfraerate.WhenyouchangethesettingsintheStreamtab,itdoesn’taffectongoingstreas,but
itwilltakeeffectwhenyoustartanewstrea.
TheStreamprolessettingsoverridethesettingsfrotheStreamtab.Ifyourequestastreawithaspecicstreaprole,the
streacontainsthesettingsofthatprole.Ifyourequestastreawithoutspecifyingastreaprole,orrequestastreaprole
thatdoesn'texistintheproduct,thestreacontainsthesettingsfrotheStreamtab.
