Connecting to the Internet Using ADSL/Cable Modem
This guide will help you set the wireless router for Internet connection and wireless networking. Before you continue, please
ensure that the Internet connection is working on your ADSL/Cable Modem.
Press the button for 5 seconds and then release it.
System restores the factory default settings.
Power button
Power socket, for connecting the power adapter.
WAN interface, for connecting WAN or the uplink
network devices.
LAN interface, for connecting hub, switch, or
computer on LAN.
WPS: If WPS is enabled, press this button for 1
second, and then the wireless router starts to
accept the negotiation of PBC mode.
Step1
- Connect one end of the power adapter to
the power interface on the wireless
router, and connect the other end to the
power socket on the wall.
Step2
- Connect the ADSL/Cable Modem to the
WAN interface on the wireless router.
Step3
- Connect your PC to the LAN interface on
the wireless router.
Note:
You can connect to the router wirelessly
by using the wireless configuration tool on
the wireless client. Please ensure that your
Modem’s LAN IP address does not conflict
the router’s IP address
To connect to the Internet via the Web user interface, do as follows:
1. Open your Internet web browser.
2. Enter http://192.168.2.1 in the address bar and press the Enter key.
3. Enter the username and the password on the login page. The default username and password is
admin/admin.
4. Click the Wizard tab, and then follow the step-by-step guide to set the wireless router.
5. Click Yes to continue.
6. Set the login password and then click Next to continue. The default password is admin.
7. Select the proper time zone and then click Next to continue.
8. Select the proper operation mode, and then click Next to continue. The default operation mode is Gateway.
9. Select the DHCP WAN connection type and then click Next to continue. The wireless router will automatically
acquire the IP address, subnet mask, gateway and so on.
10.After setting the WAN connection type, click Next to complete the Wizard configuration.
11.Click Connect to save and reboot the wireless router.

Changing the IP Address of the Wireless Router
The default IP address of the wireless router is 192.168.2.1. If your Modem’s IP address is in the “192.168.2.x”
network segment, please follow the steps below to change the IP address of the wireless router.
1. Log in to the Web user interface, and then click the Advanced Mode.
2. Choose the Local submenu under Network. You can change the IP address and subnet mask of the
wireless router.
3. Click the Apply button to make the settings take effect
Connecting to Your Router Wirelessly
By default, the wireless function of the wireless router is enabled. Please follow the steps below to
configure the basic parameters of the wireless settings.
1. Log in to the Web user interface, and then click the Advanced Mode.
2. Click Wireless to display the wireless basic settings page.
3. On the basic settings page, enable the wireless function. You may also set the SSID, channel, and the
wireless security types.
4. On the wireless client, search the SSID of the wireless router via the wireless configuration utility, and
click the Connect button on the wireless configuration utility to connect to the wireless router.
