1 Device Overview
Name Status Description
Sim Card Slot A Slot for Standard Sized SIM Card
Power Switch ON Use this mode when using 3G/4G broadband wireless.
C When charging a smartphone, use the C mode to begin Charging.
OFF Turns OFF the Mi-Fi Router.
Wi-Fi Indicator Blinking The Mi-Fi router is actively transmitting and receiving data.

2 SIM Card Installation
Prepare a STANDARD SIZED SIM Card.
NOTE: The MWR647 only accepts
Standard sized SIM Cards. You may use
a SIM Card adapter if your SIM card is
Micro or Nano in size.

A. To install the SIM Card Position the SIM card to the SIM Card
slot, then gently insert it to the SIM card
slot until you here a locking sound.

Gently push the SIM card. The SIM card
will slightly eject itself, allowing you to
pull it out completely.

3 Usage Scenarios
The MWR647 supports 3G/4G wireless
internet.
After inserting a SIM card, it will
automatically convert the 3G/4G signal to
Wi-Fi signals, giving your wireless devices
internet access, anytime and anywhere.
Connecting an Ethernet device (e.g.
computer, laptop) to your MWR647’s
Ethernet port also enables your device to
have internet connection.

A. 3G/4G Wireless Internet
The MWR647 can also act as a router by
simply connecting it to your ADSL modem
through an Ethernet cable.
NOTE: To use this mode, you first have to
change the 3G/4G Connection mode to
Wire Mode. You may see this under Section
8 “Internet Using Wire Mode” of this User
Manual.

4G Internet access steps:
Insert the SIM card into the SIM card slot correctly.
Turn on the MWR647, and it will connect to 4G automatically.
The System Indicator will flash, indicating that it is currently connecting to a 4G network.
The MWR647 has connected succesfully when the System Indicator stops flashing and
turns to red. You may now connect your wireless devices to the wireless network.

The Main Reasons for 4G Dialing failure:
Improper SIM Card installation.
A wrong SIM card has been inserted. SIM card must match the current version. If a
wrong SIM card has been inserted (e.g. EVDO SIM for HSPA version ) a dialing failure
will occur.
The SIM Card has Zero (0) balance.
Weak 4G signal. Relocate the MWR647 for better network reception.

5 Connecting your Wireless Devices to
your MWR647’s Wi-Fi
If you wish to connect wirelessly, ensure that your
wireless device (e.g. laptop, desktop) is wirelessly
enabled or has a wireless adapter.
A. Windows XP Setup Procedures
Click at the located at the bottom
right corner of your screen to open the
Available Wireless Networks list.
Scan for AztechMWR647_xxxx, double
click and correctly enter the wireless
password found at the back panel of your
MWR647.

The Wireless Network Status would
display Connected after a successful
connection.

B. Windows 7 Setup Procedures
Click at the icon located at the
bottom right corner of your screen
to open the Available Wireless
Networks list.
Scan for AztechMWR647_xxxx,
double click and correctly enter the
wireless password found at the back
panel of your MWR647.
The Wireless Network status would
display Connected after a successful
connection.
