•When measuring the temperature with the thermometer, DO NOT walk or
run as the probe could present a hazard.
•Body temperature of individual varies with difference part of the body, Oral,
axillary, and rectal temperature vary by approximately 0.5°C/1.0°F.
•DO NOT open the thermometer except replacing the battery.
•DO NOT allow children to take temperature unattended.

Although the generally accepted “normal” temperature reading is 37.0°C
/98.6°F, temperature readings can vary from 36.1°C/ 97.0°F to 37.2°C/99.0°F
and still may be considered “normal”. Variations in temperature can be
attributed to activities such as exercise, smoking, eating and drinking. Our
temperature is lower in the morning than in the afternoon. Other variations may
be due to the location of the temperature reading. While the oral temperature
follows the guidelines described in following sections, a rectal temperature is
generally 0.5˚C /1.0˚F higher. Conversely, an auxiliary (under the arm)
temperature will be 0.5˚C /1.0˚F lower.
1.Press ON/OFF button to activate. The thermometer will beep once for about
0.5 second and the display will show icons as per the image of “fig. A” show
below for about 2 seconds. The thermometer will then display briefly the
last reading taken for a second with an “M” on the lower right hand corner of
the display window. Follow, a self-test temperature display 98.6°F (or
37.0°C if using the Celsius temperature scale) will appear on the display
window for about 1 second.
Fig. A
2.The thermometer now will show image as follows (Fig. B & Fig. C) with °F (or
°C) flashes continuously, of which this flashing un its, indicated the
thermometer is ready for use. The display always shows the higher
temperature during the temperature measurement period.
Fig. B Fig. C
For ages four years or older;
•Before attempting an oral temperature measuring, keep your mouth closed
for 5 minutes.
•Place the probe tip of the thermometer well under the tongue in locations as
indicated by the “” sign in the following image (Fig. D) for most accurate
measuring. Press tongue down over the tip and keep mouth closed during
temperature measurement period, hold the thermometer steady and keeping
its tip at the same position during the measurement period as far as possible.
Fig. D
•The peak temperature should be reached in approximately 10-20 second.
•Once the peak temperature is reached, the °F/°C sy mbol will stop flashing
and the thermometer will beep continuously 10 times.
•Normal oral temperature is 98.6°F (37.0°C).
Note:
1.If the tip is not placed to the proper position then temperature reading can be
lower 12°F/0.7°C than the one taken in the correct position.
2.Opening the month could result in longer time for a reading.
3.Drinking hot or cold fluids, exercising, smoking or performing other activities
may raise or lower your temperature and therefore, it is important to relax for
approximately 5 minutes with your mouth closed prior to taking a reading.
4.It is necessary to hear the beeps to ensure the peak temperature has been
reached. A consistent °F/°C symbol with a consiste nt temperature reading
indicates the peak temperature has been reached.
•Wipe armpit with dry towel and place the probe under the armpit. Bring
arm down against the body and keep armpit closed during temperature
measurement.
•The peak temperature should be reached in approximately 20-30 second or
longer depending on placement of the probe and closure of the arm against
the body.
•Once the peak temperature is reached, the °F/°C sy mbol will stop flashing
and the thermometer will beep continuously 10 times.
•Normal axillary temperature is 97.6°F (36.5°C) whi ch is generally 0.5°C
/1.0°F lower than oral readings.
Commonly used for babies body temperature measuring
•This method can be use when it is difficult to take an oral or axillary
temperature.
•Lubricate the probe with a water-soluble personal lubricant. DO NOT use
petroleum jelly.
•Gently insert the probe tip into rectum about 1/2 inch (about 1cm).
•DO NOT force the tip into the rectum if resistance is encountered.
•The peak temperature should be reached in approximately 10 seconds.
•Once the peak temperature is reached, the °F/°C sy mbol will stop flashing
and the thermometer will beep continuously 10 times.
•Normal rectal temperature is 99.6°F/37.5°C which i s generally 1.0°F/ 0.5°C
higher than oral readings.
NOTE: For hygienic reasons, do not use the same thermometer for rectal use
that you do for Axillary or oral use.

•When the peak temperature stabilizes, the thermometer will beep. If the
temperature ≥100°F (37.8°C), the thermometer will give an alarm s of 10 x 3
short beeps (BIBIBI, BIBIBI ……BIBIBI) in 10 seconds. This indicated a
fever signal and you should consult your physician. On the other hand, if
the temperature is < 100°F (37.8°C), the thermomete r will give long beeps
(BI-BI-BI-BI) in 10 second.
•Read and record the temperature and time after each measuring for
reference. The reading will automatically stored in the memory;
•Press the ON/OFF button to turn the thermometer. The thermometer will
switch off automatically after it is idle in 8 minutes.
•Avoid drinking hot or cold liquids, exercising, smoking, or taking a bath or
shower prior to a measuring. These activities will raise or lower the
temperature readings when compare to the normal, average temperature.
•Refer to the instruction of difference method to get the most accurate
measure for the related method. If the tip of the thermometer is not placed
to the proper position mentioned to the related section, then temperature
reading can be varies to the one taken at the correct position.
•The continuous beeps indicated the peak temperature has been reached.
A consistent °F/°C symbol with a consistent tempera ture reading indicates
the peak temperature has been reached as well.
•Turn thermometer off and back on.
•While turn on the thermometer again, press and hold ON/OFF button over 2
seconds, the temperature unit °F & °C will changed accordingly.
•Now the thermometer can be use with to measure temperature in the unit
that show on the upper right hand corner of the display window.
•Repeat the above process to reverse the measurement unit if desired.
•The last temperature is always stored in the memory automatically;
•The last temperature will display on the display window when you switch on
the thermometer again. The last temperature will show briefly for 1
second with the icon “M” shown on the top right hand corner. It will show
up on the display window after you heard the beep when you switch on the
thermometer.
1.The thermometer should only be used under the supervision of an adult.
2.Do not walk, run or talk during temperature taking.
3.Clean the thermometer before and after each use.
4.Store the unit in the protective cover while not in use.
5.Do not bite the probe.
6.Do not store the unit where it will be exposed to direct sunlight, dust or
humidity. Avoid extreme temperatures.
7.Dropping or subjecting your thermometer to strong shocks should be avoided,
as this may damage the unit.
8.Do not attempt to disassemble the unit, except replace the battery.
9.If ERR displays and measurement is not attainable, the unit must be replaced.
NOTE: Performance of the device may be degraded if, operated outside of
stated temperature and humidity range; stored outside of stated temperature
and humidity range; thermometer undergoes mechanical shock (drop); patient
temperature is below ambient temperature.
The battery in your digital thermometer needs to be replaced when “ ”
appears on the right side of the display window. Replace the battery with a
1.55V, LR41 alkaline or SR41 silver oxide type or equivalent.
To replace the battery
1.Remove the battery cover by turning it anti-clockwise with a coin.
2.Take out the old battery from the thermometer and replace with the new one,
but ensure the “+” pole (the flat surface) facing upward.
3.Replace the battery cover and turning it clockwise with a coin and lock it into
place.
NOTE: Swallowing a button battery can be extremely dangerous.
Dispose of batteries in an environmental friendly way.
