DAILY MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
CLEAN AND STORE ELECTRIC SCOOTER
If you find any stains on the electric scooter housing, use a soft, damp cloth to clean the scooter.
Warning: Do not use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, volatile chemical solvents, or other corrosive solutions
to clean the scooter. It will cause serious damage to the scooter body. Do not wash the electric scooter
with high pressure. Make sure the scooter is off before washing and plug cover is in the charging port.
Failure to do so may cause an electric shock or other serious damage to yourself and/or the scooter.
When you are not using the scooter, store it in a cool, dry place. Leaving the device in the sun or in
extremely high (above 122 F) or low temperatures (below -10 F) can cause a reduced battery life.
MAINTENANCE OF ELECTRIC SCOOTER BATTERY
1. Do not use batteries from other brands.
2. To prevent electric shock, do not open or disassemble the battery. Avoid contact with metal objects
to prevent a short circuit. Failure to do so may cause a malfunction of the battery or bodily harm.
3. Use the supplied AC adapter to prevent malfunction and reduce the risk of overheating.
4. Only dispose of batteries in accordance with local laws.
If within 30 days the scooter is not used, charge the battery and keep the device in a cool, dry place.
Every 60 days you need to charge the battery, otherwise there is the likelihood of its failure, which is
not subject to warranty services.
Note: The battery has a smart chip that stores information about its charging & discharging. If you are
not charging the battery for a long time, it can cause serious damage, which decreases the capability
to charge the device again. This kind of damage is not included in the warranty service. (Caution:
Unauthorized people should not disassemble the device due to the risk of electric shock or serious injury
as a result of a short circuit.)
BATTERY INFORMATION:
• Battery does not need to be fully charged prior to first use.
• Battery should only be charged daily if scooter is used daily.
• Batteries are best kept at a 50-80% charge while stored.
• Bakcou does not recommend completely depleting the battery. Completely depleted batteries
will hurt the life of the cells and overall battery performance.
• Do not allow any liquids near or inside the battery charger.
• Only charge the battery with the charger originally supplied by the Manufacturer.
• Do not place the battery near fire or corrosive substances.
• If the battery is exposed to cold temperatures and you use the throttle for a long period of time,
the battery will begin to heat incorrectly which will cause the BMS (battery management system)
to drop the battery percentage to 0%. This may result in the scooter powering off to protect the
battery cells.
• Do not allow the battery to overheat. If the internal temperature of the battery exceeds 113°F, the
battery will shut off to protect the cells.
• Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.
• Do not charge the battery at freezing temperatures.
ADJUSTING A BRAKE DISC
