Stomacare ProtectorMax
Lees deze gebruiksaanwijzing a.u.b. aandachtig door voordat u het product
in gebruik neemt. Let er in het bijzonder op dat u de genoemde veiligheids-
voorschriften opvolgt.
Gebruiksrichtlijnen
Uw omgeving, lotgenoten of wellicht uw stoma-, wondverpleegkundige
heeft u geadviseerd om een ProtectorMax te gaan dragen. Voor een
optimale verzorging dient de gebruiker voor het in gebruik nemen, deze
gebruiksaanwijzing eerst zorgvuldig te lezen. Dit product is een medisch
hulpmiddel en is alleen bedoeld voor gebruik door één persoon.
Beoogd gebruik van het product
De ProtectorMax wordt ingezet ter bescherming van de stoma en biedt de
lichamelijk actieve gebruiker een extra bescherming tegen druk en ongewenste
krachtinwerkingen op de stoma, b.v. tijdens het sporten of druk op de stoma
veroorzaakt door de autogordel. De ProtectorMax biedt stomadragers een
veilig en zekerder gevoel.
Inhoud van de verpakking
Controleer eerst of de inhoud van de verpakking compleet en onbeschadigd is.
Mocht dit niet het geval zijn neem dan direct contact op met degene waarbij u
het product heeft aangeschaft. De verpakking bevat de volgende onderdelen:
• ProtectorMax
• Elastische band met verstelbare schuif en bevestigingsgespen
• Gebruiksaanwijzing
• Beschermbox
Aanleggen van de ProtectorMax
Om de ProtectorMax op de juiste manier te dragen, dient u de eerste keer de
band bij voorkeur liggend om te doen. De band wordt zodanig aangetrokken
dat er een hand tussen kan. De ProtectorMax zit dan voldoende strak zonder af
te zakken, maar draagt toch nog comfortabel.

Nadat u de inhoud van de verpakking
heeft gecontroleerd haakt u een
van de bevestigingsgespen aan het
uiteinde van de elastische band vast
op de ProtectorMax.

Voer de band vervolgens achterlangs
uw rug terug naar voren en
positioneer de ProtectorMax ter
hoogte van uw stomaopening.

Haak nu de gesp aan het andere
uiteinde vast op de ProtectorMax.

Met een hand houdt u de
ProtectorMax gepositioneerd rond de
stomaopening en voor het stomazakje
terwijl u met uw andere hand middels
de verstelbare schuif de band op de
gewenste spanning brengt.
Extra productinformatie/inzetgebied
De ProtectorMax is niet bedoeld voor watersportactiviteiten. Echter, bij contact
met chloor of zoutwater dient het na afloop goed gereinigd te worden.
Bestaande gebruikersrisico’s
Er zijn geen gebruikersrisico’s bekend. Wel dient de gebruiker dagelijks te
controleren dat zich geen drukplekken of andere huidirritaties ontwikkelen.
In dat geval de ProtectorMax niet gebruiken en dient u direct contact op te
nemen met de stoma-, wondverpleegkundige of bedrijf waar u het product
heeft aangeschaft.
Waarschuwing
De ProtectorMax mag niet te strak zitten maar dient zodanig op spanning
gebracht te worden dat men de hand er nog kan tussenschuiven.
De ProtectorMax mag niet in direct contact komen met open wonden
en dient op een droge huid gedragen te worden. Gebruik van lotion of
crèmes wordt afgeraden en dient eerst te worden overlegd met uw stoma-,
wondverpleegkundige of behandelend arts.
Onderhoudsadvies
Ter bevordering van de levensduur wordt geadviseerd om de ProtectorMax te
bewaren in de meegeleverde verpakking wanneer deze niet gedragen wordt.
Zo blijft de ProtectorMax buiten zicht, beschermd tegen vervorming door er
onopzettelijk op te gaan staan of mogelijke weersinvloeden.
Gebruikte materialen
ABS, TPU, nylon, polyamide, elastaan en viscose. Latexvrij.
Wasvoorschriften
Wij adviseren om de kunststof kap van de ProtectorMax te reinigen met een
doek en lauw water. De kunststof kap is niet geschikt voor de wasmachine of
droger. Wij adviseren de elastische band te wassen in een waszak in warm water
op 40ºC met een fijnwasmiddel.

Stomacare ProtectorMax
Lesen Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung vor der Verwendung sorgfältig durch.
Achten Sie insbesondere auf die Einhaltung der genannten Sicherheitsvorschriften.
Gebrauchsanweisung
Es wurde Ihnen empfohlen, einen ProtectorMax zu tragen. Für eine optimale
Pflege sollten Sie diese Anleitung vor dem Gebrauch sorgfältig lesen. Dieses
Produkt ist ein Medizinprodukt und darf nur von einer Person verwendet
werden.
Verwendungszweck
Der Stomacare-Protector bietet Patienten bei Aktivitäten (Sport, Autofahren etc.)
einen zusätzlichen Schutz vor Druck und unbeabsichtigten Krafteinwirkungen
auf das Stoma. Der ProtectorMax bietet dem Stomaträger Sicherheit und Schutz
im Alltag.
Inhalt der Verpackung
Überprüfen Sie zunächst, ob der Inhalt der Verpackung vollständig und
unbeschädigt ist. Sollte dies nicht der Fall sein, wenden Sie sich bitte direkt an
die Person, bei der Sie das Produkt gekauft haben. Die Verpackung enthält die
folgenden Teile:
• ProtectorMax
• Elastischer Gurt mit verstellbaren Schiebe- und Befestigungsschnallen
• Gebrauchsanweisung
• Schutzbox
Anlegen des ProtectorMax
Um den ProtectorMax richtig zu tragen, sollten Sie den Gürtel vorzugsweise
beim ersten Mal im Liegen anlegen. Der Gurt wird so gezogen, dass eine Hand
dazwischen gelegt werden kann. Der ProtectorMax sitzt dann ausreichend fest,
ohne herunterzufallen, trägt sich aber trotzdem bequem.

Haken Sie nach Prüfung des
Verpackungsinhalts eine der
Befestigungsschnallen am Ende
des elastischen Gurtes in den
ProtectorMax ein.

Führen Sie dann entlang der Rückseite
Ihres Rückens den Gurt nach vorne
zurück und positionieren Sie den
ProtectorMax auf der Höhe der
Stomaöffnung.

Befestigen Sie nun die Schnalle an
der anderen Seite des ProtectorMax.

Mit einer Hand halten Sie den
ProtectorMax um die Stomaöffnung
und vor den Stomabeutel, während
Sie mit der anderen Hand den Gurt
mit dem verstellbaren Schieber auf
die gewünschte Spannung einstellen.
Zusätzliche Produktinformationen / Einsatzbereich
Der ProtectorMax ist nicht für Wassersportarten vorgesehen. Bei Kontakt mit
Chlor oder Salzwasser muss er anschließend gründlich gereinigt werden.
Bestehende Risiken für Benutzer
Es sind keine Benutzerrisiken bekannt. Kontrollieren Sie bitte täglich Ihren
Hautzustand. Sollten erste Anzeichen einer Hautreizung, Rötung oder
Schwellung auftreten, legen Sie bitte den ProtectorMax sofort ab und wenden
sich an Ihre/n Stomatherapeutin/en.
Warnung
Der ProtectorMax sollte nicht zu fest sein, sondern so gespannt sein, dass die
Hand noch dazwischen gleiten kann. Der ProtectorMax sollte nicht in direkten
Kontakt mit offenen Wunden kommen und auf trockener Haut getragen werden.
Die Verwendung von Lotionen oder Cremes wird nicht empfohlen und sollte
zuerst mit Ihrer/Ihrem Stomatherapeutin/en oder dem behandelnden Arzt
besprochen werden.
Wartungshinweise
Um die Lebensdauer zu erhöhen, ist es ratsam, den ProtectorMax in der
mitgelieferten Verpackung aufzubewahren, wenn er nicht getragen wird.
Dadurch wird der ProtectorMax vor Verformungen, äußeren Druckeinwirkungen
oder möglichen Witterungseinflüssen geschützt.

Waschanleitung
Wir empfehlen, die Kunststoffkappe des ProtectorMax mit einem Tuch und
lauwarmem Wasser zu reinigen. Die Kunststoffkappe ist nicht für die Wasch-
maschine oder den Trockner geeignet. Wir empfehlen, den Gurt in einem Wasch-
beutel in warmem Wasser bei 40 ºC mit einem milden Reinigungsmittel zu waschen.

Stomacare ProtectorMax
Please read these instructions carefully before using the product. In particular,
make sure that you comply with the safety regulations as mentioned.
Instructions for use
Your family, friends, fellow Ostomates or perhaps your wound nurse have
advised you to wear a ProtectorMax. For optimal care, the user should read
these instructions carefully before using the device. This product is a medical
device and is intended for use by one person only.
Intended use of the product
The ProtectorMax is used to protect the stoma and offers the physically active
Ostomate additional protection against pressure and undesired force effects
on the stoma, e.g. during exercise or pressure on the stoma caused by the seat
belt. The ProtectorMax offers Osomates safety and protection in everyday life.
Packaging content
First check that the contents of the packaging are complete and undamaged.
If this is not the case, please contact the person from whom you purchased the
product directly. The packaging contains the following parts:
• ProtectorMax
• Elastic strap with adjustable sliding and fastening buckles
• Instruction manual
• Protective box
Applying the ProtectorMax
In order to wear the ProtectorMax correctly, you should preferably put it on lying
down when applying for the first time. The strap is tightnened enough, in a way
a hand can still be placed in between. The ProtectorMax then sits tight enough
without migrating, but still wears comfortably.

After checking the contents of the
package, hook one of the fastening
buckles at the end of the elastic strap
onto the ProtectorMax.

Now bring the strap back to the front
along your backside and position
the ProtectorMax at the level of your
stoma-opening.

Now hook the other buckle onto the
other side of the ProtectorMax.

Use one hand to hold the
ProtectorMax around your stoma
and in front of the stoma bag, while
with the other hand you adjust the
strap with the adjustable slider to the
desired tension.
Additional product information/Application
The ProtectorMax is not intended for use during water sports activities.
However, in case of contact with chlorine or saltwater, it is advisable to clean it
thoroughly afterwards.
Existing user risks
No user risks are known. Please check your skin condition on a daily base. If
the first signs of skin irritation, redness or swelling appear, please remove the
ProtectorMax immediately and contact your wound nurse.
Warning
The ProtectorMax should not be adjusted too tight, but tensioned enough so a
hand can still slide in between. The ProtectorMax should not come into direct
contact with open wounds and should be worn on dry skin. The use of lotions
or creams is not recommended and should first be discussed with your wound
nurse or physician.
Maintenance
In order to increase the lifespan, it is advisable to store the ProtectorMax in the
supplied packaging when it is not being used. This protects the ProtectorMax
from deformation, external pressure effects or possible weathering influences.
Applied materials
ABS, TPU, nylon, polyamide, elastane and viscose. Latex free.
Washing instructions
We recommend cleaning the plastic cap of the ProtectorMax with a cloth and
lukewarm water. The plastic cap is not suitable for washing machine or dryer.
We recommend washing the elastic strap in a washing bag in warm water at
40ºC / 104ºF with a mild detergent.
