oDo not place heavy objects on the oven door or lean on the
oven door when it is open, as this can cause damage to the oven
door hinges. Nobody should be allowed to sit or stand on any
part of the cooker.
oDo not store chemicals, food stuffs, pressurised containers in or
on the cooker or in cabinets immediately above or next to the
cooker.
oDo not heat up unopened food containers, as pressure can build
up which may cause the container to burst.
oDo not place flammable or plastic items on or near the hob
burners, these types of materials should also not be placed in
the oven or the compartment below the oven.
oDo not leave heated oil or fat unattended, as this is a fire risk.
You should not fill a deep fat frying pan more than one third full
of fat or oil, you should also not use a lid.
oDo not allow fat or oil to build up in the oven trays, grill pan or
oven base.
oDo not place pans or baking trays directly on the base of the
oven cavity, or line it with aluminium foil.
oDo not grill food containing fat without using the grill trivet. The
grill trivet should never be covered with aluminium foil.
oDo not place hot enamel parts in water, leave them to cool first.
oDo not allow vinegar, coffee, milk, saltwater, lemon, tomato
juice or any liquid with high sugar content to remain in contact
with the enamel parts of the appliance. Spillages should be
wiped up immediately.
oDo not allow electrical fittings or cables to come into contact
with areas on the appliance that get hot.
oDo not use the appliance to heat the room it is located in or to
dry clothing. No clothing should be placed over or near to the
hob burners or oven door.
oDo not install the appliance next to curtains or soft furnishings.

oDo not attempt to lift or move cooking appliances by using the
oven door or handle, as this may cause damage to the appliance
or result in injury to the person lifting the appliance.
Cleaning
oCleaning of the oven should be carried out on a regular basis.
oGreat care should be taken whilst using this appliance and when
following the cleaning procedure.
oIMPORTANT: The appliance must be disconnected from the
mains before following the cleaning procedure.
oIMPORTANT: Care must be taken when cleaning between
the door glasses, and inside the inner frame as some of
the edges maybe sharp due to the manufacturing process.
Installation
This appliance must be correctly installed by a
suitably qualified person, strictly in accordance
with the manufacturer’s instructions. Please see
the specific section of this booklet that refers to
installation.

oHeat, steam and moisture will be created during use of the
appliance, take care to avoid injury and ensure that the room is
adequately ventilated. If the appliance is going to be used for
prolonged periods of time, then additional ventilation may be

Setting and using the oven programmer/timer
Setting the time of day and selecting manual operation mode
After your appliance is connected to your mains supply for the
first time, the numbers on the timer display will flash 00.00.
Before you can select a cooking function or set a temperature,
you must put the appliance into manual operation mode and
set the time of day.
oTo select manual operation mode, press the duration and
cooking end time buttons simultaneously.
oUse the plus and minus buttons to adjust the time that appears
in the timer display.
oWhen the time shown in the timer display is correct, release the
plus and minus buttons. After 5 seconds, the Auto function
symbol (1) will disappear from the timer display and the manual
operation symbol (3) will appear instead.

Before first use
oTo remove any residue from the oven cavities that may have
been left from the manufacturing process, you should select the
fan oven function for the main oven and the conventional oven
function for the secondary oven. Separately set each oven to its
maximum temperature setting.
oIt is perfectly normal for a smell to be produced during this
process.
oYou should make sure that any windows in the room are left
open during this process.
oIt is advisable for you not to remain in the room whilst the
burning off process is taking place.
oYou should leave each oven on maximum setting for 30 – 40
minutes.
oIMPORTANT: You should not burn off both ovens
simultaneously.
Setting the minute minder function (main and secondary oven)
You are able to set the minute minder at any time, regardless
of whether an oven function has been selected. You can set a
period of time using the minute minder function and an alarm
will sound when this period of time has elapsed.
oPress the minute minder button, and then use the plus and
minus buttons to set the length of time that you require.
oAfter releasing the plus and minus buttons, the minute minder
symbol will appear on the display.
oAn alarm will sound when the countdown time has elapsed. The
alarm can be silenced by pressing the cooking end time button.
oImportant: If the oven is on, then it will continue to heat, even
if you silence the audible alarm. If you have finished cooking,
then you should turn off the oven by turning the relevant oven
function selector knob and thermostat control knob to the off
position.

Setting the duration function (main oven only)
This function will allow you to set a countdown time similar to
the minute minder function. However the oven will no longer
continue to heat, once the countdown period has elapsed.
oUse the main oven function selector control knob to select the
cooking function that you require and the main oven thermostat
control knob to set the temperature that you want to cook at.
oIt is then possible to set the duration of the cooking time that
you require.
oPress the duration button and the display will show a value of
00:00. Set the period of time that you wish the duration function
to countdown for, by using the plus and minus buttons.
oOnce the display has got to the desired countdown time, let go
of the plus and minus buttons. The countdown will start
immediately and the Auto function symbol and the manual
operation symbol will appear on the timer display.
oAn alarm will sound when the countdown time has elapsed and
the oven will switch off. The Auto function symbol will flash.
oTo silence the alarm and return the oven to manual operation
mode you should press the duration and cooking end time
buttons simultaneously. The Auto function symbol will disappear
from the timer display.
oImportant: The oven will continue to heat once you have
returned it to manual operation mode. If you have finished
cooking, then you should switch off the oven by turning the main
oven function selector control knob and the main oven
thermostat control knob to their off positions.

Setting the end cook function (main oven only)
This function is similar to the duration function, however
instead of selecting a period of time that you wish the oven to
switch off after. You select the time of day that you wish the
oven to switch off at.
oUse the main oven function selector control knob to select the
cooking function that you require and the main oven thermostat
control knob to set the temperature that you want to cook at.
oPress the cooking end time button and the display will show a
value of 00:00. Set the time of day that you wish the oven to
stop cooking at by using the plus and minus buttons.
oOnce the display has got to the time of day that you want the
oven to stop cooking at, let go of the timer plus and minus
buttons. The countdown will start immediately and the Auto
function symbol and the manual operation symbol will appear on
the timer display.
oWhen the time of day reaches the end of the cooking time that
you have set, the oven will switch off and an alarm will sound.
The manual operation symbol will disappear and the Auto
function symbol will flash.
oTo silence the alarm and return the oven to manual operation
mode, you should press the duration and cooking end time
buttons simultaneously. The Auto function symbol will disappear
from the timer display.
oImportant: The oven will continue to heat once you have
returned it to manual operation mode. If you have finished
cooking, then you should switch off the oven by turning the main
oven function selector control knob and the main oven
thermostat control knob to their off positions.

Setting the start and end time function (main oven only)
This function will allow you to set a time in the future that the
oven switches on at and a time that the oven will switch off at.
oUse the main oven function selector control knob to select the
cooking function that you require and the main oven thermostat
control knob to set the temperature that you want to cook at.
oPress the duration button and the display will show a value of
00:00. Set the period of time that you wish to cook for, by using
the plus and minus buttons.
oImmediately press the cooking end time button and the timer
display will show the value 00:00 again. Set the time of day that
you want the oven to switch off at, using the plus and minus
buttons. The Auto function symbol will appear on the timer
display.
oThe oven will calculate what time it needs to switch on at, so
that your food will cook for the length of time that you have
selected. When it does the manual operation symbol will appear
on the timer display and the oven will switch on.
oWhen the time of day reaches the end of cooking time that you
set, the oven will switch off and an alarm will sound. The manual
operation symbol will disappear and Auto function symbol will
flash.
oTo silence the alarm and return the oven to manual operation
mode, once the start and end time function has been used. You
should press the duration and cooking end time buttons
simultaneously. The Auto function symbol will disappear from
the timer display.
oImportant: The oven will continue to heat once you have
returned it to manual operation mode. If you have finished
cooking, then you should switch off the oven by turning the main
oven function selector control knob and the main oven
thermostat control knob to their off positions.

Cancelling an automatic cooking function
If an automatic cooking function has been set and you wish to
use the oven in manual operation mode, you will need to cancel
the automatic cooking function.
oTo select manual operation mode, press the duration and
cooking end time buttons simultaneously.
oThe Auto function symbol will disappear from the timer display
and the manual operation symbol will appear instead.
Adjusting the audible signal
There are 3 levels of audible signal available; to adjust it you should
do the following:
oWhen the time of day is shown on the timer display, press the
minus button for approximately 2 seconds. You will then hear
the current level of audible signal.
oRepeat this process until the audible signal reaches the level that
you require, and then release the minus button.
Selecting a cooking function and temperature
Main oven function selector knob
The main oven function selector knob should
be turned clockwise and used to select the
particular mode of cooking that you require.
The appliance will utilise different elements
within the oven cavity, depending on the oven
function that you select. When a function is
selected, the power indicator light will come
on.
Please note that the symbols shown in the drawing above will not
necessarily correspond EXACTLY with the symbols on the control knob
of the appliance itself.

There are eight cooking functions available on your appliance:
FAN AND LOWER ELEMENT: This method of cooking
utilises the bottom element in conjunction with the fan,
which helps to circulate the heat. This function is suitable for
sterilising and preserving jars.
FAN AND GRILL: This method of cooking utilises the top
element in conjunction with the fan, which helps to provide a
quick circulation of heat. This function is suitable where quick
browning is required and “sealing” the juices in, such as
steaks, hamburgers, some vegetables etc.

FULL GRILL: This method of cooking utilises the inner and
outer parts of the top element, which directs heat
downwards onto the food. This function is suitable for grilling
medium or large portions of sausages, bacon, st
etc. Ideally the thermostat control knob should be set to
200°C
HALF GRILL: This method of cooking utilises the inner part
only of the top element, which directs heat downwards onto
the food. This function is suitable for grilling small portions
of bacon, toast and meat etc. The thermostat control knob
must be turned to its maximum setting.
FAN OVEN: This method of cooking uses the circular
element while the heat is distributed by the fan. This results
in a faster and more economical cooking process. The fan
oven allows food to be cooked simultaneously on different
shelves, preventing the transmission of smells and tastes
from one dish onto another.
CONVENTIONAL OVEN (top and lower element): This
method of cooking provides traditional cooking, with heat
from the top and lower elements. This function is suitable for
roasting and baking on one shelf only.
DEFROST MODE: The fan runs without heat to reduce the
defrosting time of frozen foods. The time required to defrost
the food will depend on the room temperature, the quantity
and type of food. Always check food packaging for the
defrosting instructions.
OVEN LIGHT: Separate light control which allows the light
to be switched on, even when the oven is not heatin

Main oven thermostat control knob
The oven thermostat control knob should be
turned clockwise and it sets the required
temperature of the oven. It is possible to
regulate the temperature within a range of 50 -
250°C.
Secondary oven function and thermostat control knob
If you turn the control knob anti clockwise, it
will automatically select the oven light
function first. If you continue turning the
control knob, you will select the conventional
oven function. You can regulate the
conventional oven between a temperature of
50 - 250°C.
To use one of the other functions, you should turn the dial past the
250°C setting and select the following functions.
UPPER ELEMENT ONLY: This method of cooking uses the
outer part of the top element to direct gentle heat
downwards onto the food. For gentle cooking, browning or
keeping cooked dishes warm.
LOWER ELEMENT ONLY: This method of cooking uses the
lower element to direct heat upwards to the food. For slow-
cooking recipes or for warming up meals.
GRILL ELEMENT ONLY: This method of cooking utilises the
top element, which directs heat downwards onto the food.
This function is suitable for grilling small portions of bacon,
toast and meat etc.
Oven operating light
This light will come on to indicate that the oven’s heating elements are
in operation. The light will turn off when the temperature set on the
thermostat control knob has been reached. It will cycle on and off
throughout the cooking time.
You should not place food inside the cavity, until the correct
cooking temperature has been reached.
