IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please note that the temperature of the human body varies throughout the day. It
can also be inuenced by numerous external factors: age, sex, type and thickness
of skin. The temperature should be taken in a neutral environment. The person
must not have been undertaken vigorous physical activity prior to taking his/ her
temperature and the room temperature must be moderate. Also note that sitting
(resting) temperature is lower by about 0.5 °F to 0.7 °F (0.3 °C to 0.4 °C) than when
standing.
Beware to not make a self-diagnosis or self-treatment based on the obtianed
measurement results. For such purposes, please consult a doctor.
TO ENSURE RELIABLE AND STABLE RESULTS
• Do not hold the termometer in your hands for too long because it is
sensitive to the ambient temperature.
• Before the rst use and each time there is a signicant change in the
ambient temperature, make sure to wait 10 to 15 minutes so the Orä
can acclimate to the new environment.
• The Orä is meant to be used indoors without a strong air convection
(e.g. from air conditioning, etc.) between the thermometer and the
person/object.
• In order to take more than one measurement consecutively, please
allow 3 to 5 seconds interval between two measurements.
• Push back hair from the forehead and wipe away any perspiration
when measuring temporal temperature.
• Make sure that the ear canal is clean and dry before using the Orä.

DIFFERENT MEASURING METHODS
MEASURING EAR TEMPERATURE
1. Take the probe cover Doff from the
thermometer before measuring the
ear temperature.
2. Press the Power button Bto turn on the
thermometer. It should already be set
on ear mode and the ear symbol
should appear on the screen.
FOR CHILDREN UNDER 1 YEAR
When taking the temperature of a child,
gently pull the ear backwards laterally to
open the ear canal properly, so that the
temperature probe can send an infrared
ray from the eardrum.
Do not force the termometer into
the ear canal. Otherwise, the ear
canal may get injured.
Be careful when taking temperature
on a child, whose ear canal is small.
FOR CHILDREN AGED 1 YEAR TO ADULT
When taking the temperature on an
adult, gently pull the ear up and back to
make sure the ear canal is straight, so that
the temperature probe can receive an
infrared ray from the eardrum.
5. Press and release the Measure button B. The ear temperature
reading will appear on the screen instantly.
6. If no activity is detected, the thermometer will power off automatically in
10 seconds.
3. The device is automatically set on adult mode. To measure the temperature
of a child, set device on child mode by pressing on the mode button F.
The baby icon will appear next to the ear symbol on the screen.
4. Insert the temperature probe into the ear canal.

NOTE:
(1) After each measurement, clean the probe with a soft cloth, and put the thermometer in a dry and well-
ventilated place. If the person has a fever, clean probe to disinfect the probe. Follow disinfecting instructions in this
manual (p.12). Be careful to not rub the sensor.
(2) Make sure that the ear canal is clean and dry before starting a measurement. It is recommended to clean
the ear canal with a cotton swab if any dirt exists. Otherwise, the temperature probe may be polluted, and
temperature readings may be inaccurate.
(3) Do not use the ear mode temperature if the ear is infected with otitis or suppuration.
(4) The ear mode is suggested for babies from 3 months through adulthood.
MEASURING FOREHEAD TEMPERATURE
1. Make sure the probe cover Dof thermometer is on the device.
2. Press the Power button Bto power on the thermometer.
3. When measuring the temperature of an adult, set device on Forehead

(2) If the low-battery symbol appears on the screen, replace the batteries.
(3) Make sure you replace the batteries with the same type of batteries.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
CLEANING YOUR ORÄ
1. Take the batteries out before cleaning.
2. Clean the probe Cwith a soft cloth. Clean the lens of the temperature
probe with a cotton swab.
3. Wipe the thermometer body with a slightly damp soft cloth.
Keep water out off the lens sensor during the cleaning process otherwise
you could damage the lens. The lens might get scratched if it is not
cleaned properly, which might cause inacurate readings.
Do not clean the termometer with corrosive cleansers. During the
cleaning process, do not immerse any part of the thermometer into
liquid, or allow any liquid to penetrate the thermometer.
Recommended cleaning product:
• Medical cleaners
• Mild soap

DISINFECTING YOUR ORÄ
1. Wet a clean soft cloth with a small quantity of disintectant
2. Wipe the thermometer and quickly dry it.
3. Disinfect the thermometer body and the area around the temperature
probe with a cloth slightly moistened with 75% medicinal alcohol.
Do not use hot stream or ultraviolet radiation for disinfection. Otherwise,
the thermometer may be damaged or quickly aged.
It is recommended to disinfect the thermometer before and after each
use. The disinfection time is completed within 1 minute, and the number
of repetitions per disinfection is not more than 2 times.
Recommended disinfectants:
• Isopropyl alcohol solution (70% concentration)
• Medicinal alcohol (75% concentration)
• Sodium hypochlorite solution (3% concentration)
MAINTENANCE
• Ensure the safety of Orä, and keep an eye on whether it has potential
safety hazards in normal use each week (e.g. whether the lens is
broken, the shell has cracks and the sensing head is polluted). Do not use
the thermometer with potential safety hazard. Clean the thermometer if
not used for a long time.
• After each use, clean the temperature probe as described in the
previous Cleaning and Disinfection section.
• Store the thermometer in a dry, dust-free, and well-ventilated place. Make
sure that the thermometer is not exposed to direct sunlight. Make sure that
the storage and transportation environments meet the safety requirements.
• Check regularly whether safety risks exist.
• Remove the batteries if the thermometer will not be used for more than
two months.
