In these instructions, the characteristics and technical details of the power supplies are briefly
described to provide you with improved comprehension of its capabilities and to answer in advance
any questions that may arise.
1. Advantages and special features
a.) High-tech
EfficiencyPLUS
DARK POWER Series power supplies exhibit, on the one hand, a very high
efficiency reducing significantly the development of heat inside the power supply -
and therefore the temperature in the PC system as a whole. In addition, they
reduce, on the other hand, current consumption and therefore electricity
expenses as well. The efficiency key figures involved are well ahead of the
requirements stipulated by Intel in the ATX12V specification.
ATX12V Version 2.2
Be-quiet! offers with its DARK POWER Series a power supply unit complying
with the latest ATX12V specification and providing therefore, among other
things, a separate and unaffected 12V line for processors.
PCI EXPRESS CONNECTOR
Two PCIe supply terminals ensure the unrestricted use of two PCIe graphic
cards within the SLI compound.
EcoPLUS
The electronic components of the be-quiet! DARK POWER Series power
supplies are already in line, at the present stage, with EU Guideline 2002/95/EC
( RoHS ). As a result, be-quiet! is making a future-oriented contribution towards
environmental protection.
THERMO CONTROLLER
The power supplies of the be quiet! range regulate the speed of the integrated
fans depending on the temperature measured inside the power supplies. Note
that both power supply fans and also up to three case fans are automatically
controlled ( 1 fan per connecting cable ). If the temperature rises, the fans'
speed will be automatically increased, so as to assure rapid and effective
dissipation of the heat being produced. This technology ensures trouble-free
operation, and can significantly extend the lifetimes of your PC's components.

ECASO (Enhanced Cooling After System Off)
When a PC is switched off, normally all the fans halt as well, although it is often
still very warm inside the computer. be quiet! solves this problem by making the
power supply fans and up to three connected case fans continue to run for
another 3 minutes in stand-by mode, thus removing the warm air from the
computer. This function is available only when the temperature is relatively high
(from approx. 20 minutes operating time). In cold condition, there is no need to
ventilate the system after power-down.
12V
HIGH PERFORMANCE@12V
The new power supplies from the DARK POWER series provide very high
performance on the +12V rail. The power supplies thus offer sufficient reserves
for even power-hungry PC systems.
24-PIN/20-PIN MAINBOARD CONNECTOR

new mainboards featuring a 24-pin connection, and with conventional
mainboards featuring a 20- pin connection by means of the adapter supplied.
