Introduction:
Thanks to the BLU-BKR Kit you can keep the radio and car you love while
enjoying Bluetooth features only available on new cars.
With Bluetooth Technology and your Smartphone’s built in Advanced Audio
Distribution Profile (A2DP), you can stream music from compatible smartphone or
Tablet directly into all Becker AUX Ready radios. This clean solution leaves no wires
on or around the dash. Simply pair up the Bluetooth device to the adapter hidden
behind the dash set radio to “AUX” mode and enjoy the cleanest playback without
any wires or complicated setup.
Installation:
Although not critical, we recommend disconnecting the car
battery. Keep in mind that most Becker radios are coded and will
not operate without the code. Radio code must be available for
radio to operate upon reconnection.
Remove radio from dashboard to gain access to the connectors. This process
requires special removal tools (not included) (See Fig. 1).

chambers are reserved for amplifier (C-1) and CD
Changer (C-2 & C-3). CD Changer (if present) must
be disconnected (both blue AND green plugs)

Frequent asked questions
1. My vehicle has a CD Changer. Does the BLU-BKR work in vehicles with CD
Changer?
YES; but the CD Changer, Aux or iPod adapter must be disconnected and AUX
mode enabled through radio menu.
2. Does the BLU-BKR work on all Becker Radios?
NO; Works on all Becker radios with “AUX” menu option. Becker radios
without AUX option (e.g. CR-210, CDR-210, CR-1 etc.), are not compatible,
however if vehicle has a working CD changer, purchase our A2D-BKRCD
3. Do you offer an adapter that works on Becker radios that do not have
“AUX” input capabilities or optional CD changer?
YES; Purchase our BLU-BKR2223 or A2D-BKRCD if equipped with a CD changer
(CD changer remains functional).
4. Can I control Smartphone music from the radio buttons?
NO; you must continue to use audio device (e.g. Smartphone) built-in
controls and display or optional wireless remote control.
5. Can I pair or save more than one device to the BLU-BKR?
YES; more than one device (slaves) can be paired however only one connection
can be active at a time.
6. I’m getting noise that increases with engine speed. Is this normal?
If you experience alternator whine (increases with engine speed), we
recommend adding a noise filter (e.g. NF3A) to power/ground supply lines.
Here is how to add Noise Filter:
Noise filter is installed between 8-pin female plug (To radio) and Bluetooth
module as seen in Fig.8 (Do not cut factory harness)
If necessary, remove black tape from wires near 8-pin female plug
(You will be working on the black/red wires going to Bluetooth module)
a. Cut red and black wires about 2 inches away from 8-pin plug

b. Mate red wire from module with red wire from filter labelled OUT
c. Mate black wire from module to black wire from filter labelled OUT
d. Mate red/black wires from 8-pin plug to black/red wired on filter
labelled IN.
Fig. 8
7. Can the BLU-BKR be used to make/receive phone calls?
No; The BLU-BKR support music streaming only. Purchase our A2DIY-BKR or
BKR-HF for phone calls and stream music.
8. My phone scans but does not pair with module. What I’m I doing wrong?
Many Ferrari, Porsche etc. radios are able to be turned on without the key,
however for the module to power on; ignition must be set to ACC or ON position
at which point pairing is enabled.
9. My vehicle has factory Bluetooth. Will I have to disconnect it to install
music streaming?
NO. Factory Bluetooth (if present) remains connected and functional provided
the required T-harness is included with your kit.
