Motorola Bluetooth kits include a Universal installation harness, and
ecause of that it will not fit Becker radios which means you are
required to cut and splice the radio harness. The BT-BKRMT
installation harness is designed exclusively for the installation of
Motorola IHF1700, IHF1000 and T605 Bluetooth Car Kits to any
Becker Radio with a “PHONE” menu option. With the BT-BKRMT
harness, installation time is reduced to minutes and guarantees peace
of mind knowing that every connection is safe and secure.

Warning! Although not critical, we recommend disconnecting the car
attery. Keep in mind that most Becker radios are coded and will not
operate without the code. Radio code must e availa le for radio to operate
upon reconnection.
1. Remove radio from the dash oard to gain access to the
connectors.
2. Special removal tools (availa le separately) are required to
remove the Becker radio. (See Fig

3. To remove radio, slide oth tools into the slots to the second
detent position. Withdraw the radio y pulling outwards.
4. With radio removed , proceed to step 5
Note: Vehicles with CD Changer, iPod adapter etc. please
proceed to step 8

One of the most important steps in this process is to ena le the
“Phone” function within the Becker radio menu. When properly set,
the radio will display “PHONE” when a call is made or received. The
radio will also mute and route the caller’s voice to the car speakers

to any vehicle and will not fit Becker radio plugs. In addition the universal
harness is not optimized for vehicles equipped with factory amplifier. The
BT-BKRMT can e used on Becker radio applications with or without
factory amplifiers.

Short answer is NO!! Bluetooth hands free features will work without
disconnecting the CD Changer/Aux or iPod adapter, however if your
Bluetooth kit supports audio streaming (i.e. Motorola T605) and you wish
to use that feature, then the CD Changer, Auxiliary adapter or iPod adapter
must e disconnected.
