Introduction
This Quick Installation Guide will guide you through the steps needed to install
the OmniView Secure DVI Dual-Link KVM Switch (the Switch). If you have any
problems during this installation, please refer to the User Manual.
Connect Computers to the Switch 3
NOTE:
Before you begin, make sure that all computer equipment and devices are powered
off, and that your USB keyboard and mouse work properly with all your computers.
1.1 Connect your monitor to the DVI port on the back of the Switch in the
“User Console” section.
1.2 Connect your keyboard and mouse to the USB ports on the back
of the Switch in the “User Console” section.
1.3 Connect your speaker and microphone cables into the corresponding
ports in the “User Console” section.
2.1 Make sure all computers and the Switch are powered off.
2.2 Using the Belkin DVI/USB KVM Cable Kit (F1D9201-XX), connect the male DVI
connector to the monitor port on your computer. Then, connect the other end of
the cable into an available port on the Switch. (Refer to diagram below)
2.3 Using the Cable Kit, connect the USB Type-A connector to an available USB port
on your computer. Then, connect the USB Type-B connector to the corresponding
USB port on the Switch. (Refer to diagram below)
2.4 Connect the two audio cables (audio and microphone) to your computer. Then,
connect the other end to the corresponding audio and microphone port on the Switch.
2.5 Repeat the steps above for each additional USB computer you wish to connect.
