Battery charging and replacement
Warning! The Maxi Pro is powered
by a rechargeable lithium-polymer
battery. Do not expose the battery to re or
to direct sunlight. The battery should only
be changed by Bellman & Symfon or an
authorized service center. There is a risk of
explosion if the battery is not replaced cor-
rectly. The battery should be charged fully
before using the product for the rst time.
Only charge the battery in a temperature
between 0°– 35°C, 32°– 95° F.
Using the product
Operating environment: 0°– 35° C with an
atmospheric pressure of 700hpa - 1060hpa.
Transport and storage environment: -10°– 50°
C with an atmospheric pressure of 700hpa
- 1060hpa. Do not use or store the products
near a heat source. If the product gets wet or is
exposed to moisture, it should be replaced.
Cleaning
Use a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid getting mois-
ture in openings. Don’t use window cleaners,
household cleaners, aerosol sprays, solvents,
alcohol, ammonia, or abrasives.
Service and Warranty
If the product appears to be damaged or
doesn’t function properly, follow the instruc-
tions in this leaet. If the product still doesn’t
function as intended, contact your local deal-
er for information on service and warranty.
Warranty Conditions
Bellman & Symfon guarantees this product
for two years from date of purchase against
any defects that are due to faulty materi-
als or workmanship. This guarantee only
applies to normal conditions of use, and
does not include damage resulting from
accident, neglect, misuse, unauthorized
dismantling, or contamination howsoever
caused. This guarantee excludes incidental
and consequential damage.

About Maxi Pro
Maxi Pro is a digital conversation amplier that
brings out the words so you can hear them
loudly and clearly. Use Maxi to enhance the
speech around the table, when you talk on the
mobile phone or when you watch TV.
Getting started
Step 1: Charge Maxi

Overview
2Fit the mains plug (14) to the power
adapter (13) and connect it to the power
outlet.
3The battery indicator (8) blinks in green
during charging. After about three hours
it emits a steady green light to show that
that Maxi is fully charged.
Step 2: Connect Maxi
Connect the supplied headphones, ear-
phones, headset, earset or neck loop to the
Maxi headphone jack (12) marked in green.
Step 3: Start Maxi
Press the On/O button (3) for about one
second to start Maxi. The microphone
indicator (2) lights up in green and the cur-
rent volume is shown by the volume/tone
indicator (5) for three seconds.
To switch Maxi o, press and hold the On/
O button (3) for about three seconds until
all indicators go out.
Using Maxi to
clarify speech
Maxi is equipped with a built in omni-di-
rectional microphone (9) that enhances
speech. Place Maxi on a table close to the
person talking, hold it in your hand or
attach it to your clothes using the clip.
Adjusting the volume
Press on the volume controls (6) to
increase the volume and to decrease it.
The microphone volume can be adjusted
in 9 steps and the TV and mobile phone
volume in 15 steps. The level is shown in
the volume/tone indicator (5).
Note: Every time you turn on Maxi, the
volume is set to low to avoid unpleasant
sound levels.
Adjusting the tone
Press the on the tone controls (7) to
increase the treble and the to decrease
it. The treble can be adjusted in 5 steps and
is visible in the volume/tone indicator (5).
Note: Increasing the treble makes the S, F
and T sounds more pronounced and the
words easier to make out.
Using Maxi with
your mobile phone
Pairing
1 Make sure your Maxi is in microphone mode
by pressing the microphone selector (4).

2Press and hold the Bluetooth selector
(11) until the Bluetooth indicator (10)
starts to blink in blue.
3Make sure Bluetooth is activated on
your mobile phone. Open the Bluetooth
menu in Settings and select “Maxi Pro” in
the list.
4The Bluetooth indicator will emit a steady
blue light to show that the pairing was
successful.
Note: If your phone has been disconnected
from Maxi, you might need to reconnect it
by repeating step 3 to 4.
Answering a phone call
1When the mobile phone rings, the Maxi
Bluetooth indicator (10) blinks in blue. All
other sounds are muted and you’ll hear
the ring signal in your headphones.
2To answer the call, press the Maxi
Bluetooth selector (11) or use the remote
on your headset. You will now hear the
enhanced voice of the caller in your
headphones. Your voice will be picked up
by the headset or the Maxi microphone.
3To hang up, press the Bluetooth selector
once more.
Note: To decline an incoming call, press
and hold the Maxi Bluetooth selector for 3
seconds.
Making a phone call
When you talk on the mobile phone, you
hear the enhanced voice of the recipient in
your headphones. Your voice will be picked
up by the Maxi microphone.
Streaming music
Play a song on your mobile phone and press
the Maxi Bluetooth selector (11) to hear the
music. A second press could be needed if
another Bluetooth source also is connected.
Using a headset with microphone
When you talk over the phone, the sound
will be picked up from the headset remote
microphone instead of the Maxi microphone.

Troubleshooting
Most problems with Maxi Pro can be solved quickly by following the advice below.
If Try this
I can’t get the units to pair via
Bluetooth.
Make sure that your Maxi is in microphone mode by
pressing the microphone selector (4). Try pairing the
units again by following the steps in the section Pairing.
Nothing happens when I press
the Maxi On/O button.

The batteries are depleted. Charge Maxi, see Charge Maxi.
The Maxi battery indicator is
blinking in red.
The battery level is low. Charge Maxi, see Charge Maxi.
I hear no sound in my head-
phones, even though Maxi is
turned on.
First, make sure the volume is at the required level.
Then, check that the headphone plug is properly
connected to the Maxi headphone jack (12).
Increase the volume by pressing the on the Maxi
volume controls (6).
Connect the headphones to another device, like a
smart phone, and check if you hear any sound. If not,
the headphones may need to be replaced.
If Bluetooth mode is selected, make sure that the TV
streamer or mobile phone is within range, paired and
streaming a sound.
I don’t hear the mobile phone in
my headphones.
Make sure Bluetooth is activated on your mobile
phone and that it is paired with your Maxi, see Pairing
in the Using Maxi with your mobile phone section.
I don’t hear the sound of the TV
in my headphones.
Make sure the TV streamer is within range and paired
with your Maxi, see Pairing in the Using Maxi for TV-
listening section.
The sound from the TV or mobile
is too low, even though the Maxi
volume is at the highest level.
Try to increase the volume on your TV or mobile
phone instead.
I hear a high-pitched noise in my
headphones.
Lower the volume or increase the distance between
Maxi and the headphones.
Direct the Maxi microphone (9) away from you.
Maxi seems unresponsive/frozen. Press and hold the On/O button (3) for ten seconds
until Maxi turns o.
Press the On/O button for about one second to start
Maxi again.
Using Maxi for TV
listening
In order to stream the sound from your
TV, you need a Maxi Pro TV streamer,
see separate user manual for installation
instructions.
Listening to the TV
Turn on the TV, select a show and press the
Maxi Bluetooth selector (11) to hear the TV.
A second press could be needed if another
Bluetooth source also is connected.
Note: If you get a call during the show, the
sound from the TV will be muted, so you
can hear the caller’s voice clearly. When
you hang up, the sound from the TV will
automatically come back.
Automatic reconnection
Maxi will automatically reconnect to your
TV streamer as soon as it’s within range, so
you can bring Maxi when you visit family
and friends without hassle.
Battery and charging
Maxi is equipped with a rechargeable bat-
tery that lasts for up to 70 hours. When the
battery indicator (8) starts to blink in red, it’s
time to charge it, see Charge Maxi.
Attaching the clip
To attach the clip, place the clip against the
back cover and press rmly until it locks. To
remove it, pull the round handles out from
the sides.
Care and maintenance
Using the product
Note: Maxi Pro can produce high sound
levels. Please use with care. Increase the
volume level gradually to a comfortable
level. Exposure to high sound levels can
damage your hearing.
Ensure that small parts are kept out of reach
from children.
Operate the product in a dry environment
where the temperature is always between
0° and 35° C.

Descripción general
Acerca de Maxi Pro
Maxi Pro es un amplicador del habla

Paso 1: Carga de Maxi
1Conecte el cable de carga al adaptador

Paso 2: Conexión de Maxi
Conecte los auriculares suministrados (de
diadema o cascos) o el collar de inducción a la

Paso 3: Encendido de Maxi
Pulse el botón de encendido/apagado (3)
durante 1 s para encender Maxi. El indicador
del micrófono (2) se iluminará en verde y se
mostrará el volumen actual en el indicador
de volumen/tono (5) durante 3 s.
Para apagar Maxi, mantenga pulsado el botón
de encendido/apagado (3) durante unos 3 s
hasta que todos los indicadores se apaguen.
Uso de Maxi para ampli-
car conversaciones
Maxi cuenta con un micrófono omnidireccio-
nal (9) incorporado que amplica las conver-
saciones. Coloque Maxi en una mesa, cerca
de la persona que habla, y sujételo en la
mano o en la ropa con la pinza suministrada.
Ajuste del volumen
Pulse en el control de volumen (6)
para subir el volumen y para bajarlo. El
volumen del micrófono puede ajustarse
en nueve pasos y el del teléfono móvil y la
televisión, en quince. El nivel se muestra en
el indicador de volumen/tono (5).
Nota: Cada vez que encienda Maxi, el volu-
men estará bajo para evitar niveles molestos.
Ajuste del tono
Pulse en el control de tono (7) para
aumentar los agudos y para disminuirlos.
Los agudos pueden ajustarse en cinco
pasos y pueden verse en el indicador de
volumen/tono (5).
Nota: El aumento de los agudos provoca
que los sonidos‘S’,‘F’, y‘T’sean más pro-
nunciados, lo que hace que las palabras se
distingan con mayor claridad.
Uso de Maxi con el
teléfono móvil
Emparejamiento
1Compruebe que el micrófono del Maxi
está activado. Para ello, pulse el selector
de micrófono (4).

2Mantenga pulsado el selector de Blue-
tooth (11) de Maxi hasta que el indicador
de Bluetooth (10) empiece a parpadear
en azul.
3Asegúrese de que el teléfono móvil tenga
activado el Bluetooth. Abra el menú Blue-
tooth y seleccione“Maxi Pro”de la lista.
4El indicador de Bluetooth emitirá una luz
ja azul para conrmar que el empareja-
miento se ha realizado correctamente.
Nota: Si su teléfono se ha desconectado de
Maxi, es posible que deba volver a conectarlo

Respuesta de una llamada telefónica
1Cuando suena el teléfono móvil, el indica-
dor de Bluetooth (10) de Maxi parpadea
en azul. El resto de sonidos se silenciarán y
oirá el tono de llamada en los auriculares.
2Para responder la llamada, pulse el selector
de Bluetooth (11) de Maxi o utilice el
mando de los auriculares. A continuación,
oirá por los auriculares la voz amplicada
de su interlocutor. Su voz será captada por
los auriculares o el micrófono de Maxi.
3Para colgar, vuelva a pulsar el selector de
Bluetooth de Maxi.
Nota: Para rechazar una llamada entrante,
mantenga pulsado el selector de Bluetooth
de Maxi durante 3 s.
Realización de una llamada
telefónica
Cuando hable por el teléfono móvil, oirá la
voz amplicada de su interlocutor a través
de los auriculares. El micrófono del Maxi
recogerá su voz.
Transmisión de música
Reproduzca una canción en su teléfono móvil
y pulse el selector Bluetooth de Maxi (11) para
escuchar la música. Podría ser necesaria una
segunda pulsación si hay otra fuente Blue-
tooth conectada.
Uso de auriculares con micrófono
Cuando hable por teléfono, el sonido se
recogerá en el mando de los auriculares, en
lugar de en el micrófon de Maxi.

Uso de Maxi para ver
la televisión
Para retransmitir el sonido de su televisor,
necesitará el Maxi Pro TV Streamer. Consulte
el manual de usuario correspondiente para
ver las instrucciones de instalación.
Oír la televisión
Encienda el televisor, seleccione un programa
y pulse el selector Bluetooth de Maxi (11) para
escuchar la televisión. Podría ser necesaria una
segunda pulsación si hay otra fuente
Bluetooth conectada.
Nota: Si le llaman durante el programa, el
sonido de la televisión se silenciará para
que pueda oír con claridad la voz de su
interlocutor.
Cuando cuelgue, el sonido de la televisión
volverá automáticamente.
Localización y solución de averías
La mayoría de los problemas relacionados con el producto se pueden solucionar de forma
rápida siguiendo las instrucciones ofrecidas a continuación.
Problema Intente lo siguiente
No consigo que se conecten las
unidades mediante Bluetooth.
Asegúrese de que su Maxi se encuentra en modo mi-
crófono pulsando el selector del micrófono (4). Vuelva a
intentar conectar las unidades siguiendo los pasos de la
sección Conexión entre unidades.
Cuando pulso el botón de encendi-
do/apagado de Maxi no ocurre nada.
La batería está agotada. Cargue Maxi. Consulte el

El indicador de batería de Maxi
parpadea en rojo.
El nivel de carga de la batería es bajo. Cargue Maxi.

Aunque Maxi está encendido, no
oigo nada por los auriculares.
En primer lugar, compruebe que el volumen se
encuentra en el nivel adecuado. A continuación, com-
pruebe que el conector de los auriculares está bien
conectado a la toma de auriculares del Maxi (12).
Aumente el volumen pulsando en el control de volu-
men (6) de Maxi.
Conecte los auriculares a otro dispositivo (p. ej., un
smart-phone) y compruebe si oye algo. En caso con-
trario, cambie de auriculares.
Si está seleccionado el modo Bluetooth, asegúrese de

No se oye el teléfono móvil por los
auriculares.
Asegúrese de que el Bluetooth de su teléfono móvil
esté activado y emparejado con Maxi. Consulte el

No se oye la televisión por los
auriculares.
Compruebe que el transmisor para TV esté dentro del
alcance y emparejado con Maxi. Consulte el apartado

la televisión.
El sonido del televisor o el móvil está
demasiado bajo a pesar de que el
volumen del Maxi está al máximo.
Pruebe a subir el volumen de su televisor o teléfono
móvil.
Oigo un ruido agudo en los
auriculares.
Baje el volumen o aumente la distancia entre Maxi y
los auriculares.
Aleje el micrófono interno (9) de Maxi de usted.
El Maxi parece haberse bloqueado. 
Pulse y mantenga pulsado el botón de encendido/apaga-
do (3) durante 10 segundos hasta que el Maxi se apague.
Pulse el botón de encendido/apagado durante 1

Uso del producto
Nota: El Maxi Pro puede alcanzar un volu-
men muy alto. Utílicelo con cuidado. Suba
el volumen de forma gradual hasta llegar
al nivel adecuado. La exposición a sonidos
con un volumen muy alto puede provocar
daños auditivos.
Mantenga las piezas pequeñas alejadas del
alcance de los niños.
Utilice el producto en un entorno seco, a
una temperatura entre 0 y 35 °C.
Limpieza
Limpie el producto con un paño suave y sin pe-
lusas. Evite que se humedezcan las aberturas.

Reconexión automática
El Maxi se volverá a conectar automática-
mente al TV Streamer en cuanto se encuen-
tre dentro de su alcance, lo que le permite
llevar el Maxi sin problema cuando visite a
sus familiares o amigos.
Batería y carga
Maxi incluye una batería recargable con
autonomía de hasta 70 h. Cargue la batería
cuando el indicador de batería (8) comience

À propos du Maxi Pro
Le Maxi Pro est un amplicateur numérique
d'écoute qui retransmet les voix de manière
à les rendre parfaitement claires et audibles.
Utilisez le Maxi pour améliorer la clarté des
voix autour de la table, lors de vos conver-
sations téléphoniques ou lorsque vous
regardez la télévision.
Mise en route
Étape 1: Chargement du Maxi
1Branchez le câble de charge sur l'adapta-
teur d'alimentation (13) et sur la prise du
chargeur (1) du Maxi repérée en jaune.
2Insérez la che secteur (14) dans l'adap-
tateur d'alimentation (13) et veillez à ce
qu'elle soit correctement enclenchée avant
de la brancher sur une prise de courant.
3L'indicateur de batterie (8) clignote en
vert pendant le chargement. Au bout
de 3 heures, il émet une lumière verte
continue pour indiquer que le Maxi est
complètement chargé.
Étape 2: Connexion au Maxi
Branchez le casque, les écouteurs, le micro
-casque, le combiné micro-écouteurs ou le
tour de cou fourni sur la prise casque (12)
du Maxi repérée en vert.
Étape 3 : Démarrage du Maxi
Appuyez sur le bouton Marche/Arrêt (3) pen-
dant environ 1 seconde pour démarrer le Maxi.
L'indicateur du microphone (2) s'allume en vert
et l'indicateur volume/tonalité (5) ache le
niveau de volume actuel pendant 3 secondes.
Pour éteindre le Maxi, appuyez sur le bouton
Marche/Arrêt (3) et maintenez-le enfoncé
pendant 3 secondes jusqu'à ce que l'indica-
teur s'éteigne complètement.
Utiliser le Maxi pour amé-
liorer la clarté des voix
Le Maxi est équipé d'un microphone (9)
omnidirectionnel intégré qui améliore la
qualité sonore des voix. Posez le Maxi sur
une table près de l'interlocuteur, tenez-le
dans votre main ou xez-le sur votre tenue
à l'aide de la pince.
Réglage du volume
Dans les touches de réglage du volume (6),
appuyez sur pour augmenter le volume
et sur pour le diminuer. Le volume du
microphone est réglable sur 9 niveaux. Le
volume de la télévision et du téléphone mo-
bile est réglable sur 15 niveaux. L'indicateur
volume/tonalité (5) ache le niveau sonore.
Remarque: À chaque démarrage du Maxi, le
volume est réglé sur une valeur faible pour
éviter tout niveau sonore désagréable.
Réglage de la tonalité
Dans les touches de réglage de la tonalité,
appuyez sur pour augmenter la tonalité
(7) et sur pour la diminuer. Les aigus sont
réglables sur 5 niveaux. L'indicateur volume/
tonalité (10) ache le niveau des aigus.
Remarque: Augmenter les aigus rend les
sons S, F et T plus prononcés et les mots
plus faciles à discerner.
Utiliser le Maxi avec
votre téléphone mobile
Appairage
1Assurez-vous que votre Maxi est en
mode microphone en appuyant sur le
sélecteur de microphone (4).

Appuyez sur la touche Bluetooth (11) du
Maxi et maintenez-le enfoncé jusqu'à ce que
l'indicateur Bluetooth (10) clignote en bleu.
3Veillez à ce que la fonction Bluetooth
soit activée sur votre téléphone mobile.
Ouvrez le menu Bluetooth et sélection-
nez Maxi Pro dans la liste.
4L'indicateur Bluetooth émettra une lu-
mière bleue continue pour indiquer que
l'appairage a été eectué avec succès.
Remarque: Si votre téléphone a été décon-
necté de Maxi, il est possible que vous deviez
le reconnecter en répétant les étapes 3 à4.
Répondre à un appel téléphonique
1Lorsque le téléphone sonne, l'indicateur
Bluetooth (10) du Maxi clignote en bleu.Tous
les autres sons sont alors coupés et vous
entendez la sonnerie dans votre casque.

Utiliser le Maxi pour
écouter la télévision
Pour diuser le son de votre télévision, il
vous faut un Maxi Pro TV streamer. Repor-
tez-vous au manuel d’utilisation distinct
pour les instructions d’installation.
Écouter la télévision
Allumez le téléviseur, sélectionnez une
émission et appuyez sur le sélecteur Maxi
Bluetooth (11) pour suivre le programme
télévisé. Une deuxième pression peut être
nécessaire en cas de connexion d'une autre
source Bluetooth.
Remarque: Lorsque vous recevez un
appel au cours de l'émission, le son de la
télévision est coupé pour vous permettre
d'entendre clairement la voix de l'interlocu-
teur. Lorsque vous raccrochez, le son de la
télévision est automatiquement réactivé.
Reconnexion automatique
Maxi se reconnectera automatiquement à
votre TV streamer dès qu'il sera à sa portée,
ce qui vous permet de prendre votre Maxi
lorsque vous rendez visite à votre famille ou
à vos amis sans tracas.
Batterie et chargement
Le Maxi est équipé d’une batterie rechar-
geable intégrée orant jusqu’à 70 heures
d'autonomie. Lorsque l'indicateur de
batterie (8) clignote en rouge, cela signie
qu'elle doit être rechargée (voir la rubrique
Chargement du Maxi).
Fixer la pince
Pour xer la pince, placez-la contre le dos
du boîtier et appuyez fermement jusqu’à ce
qu'elle s'enclenche. Pour la retirer, retirez les
languettes rondes des côtés.
Entretien et maintenance
Utilisation du produit
Remarque: Maxi Pro peut produire de
forts niveaux sonores.Veuillez l'utiliser avec
précaution. Augmentez progressivement le
niveau du volume an d'atteindre un niveau
confortable. Une exposition à de forts niveaux
sonores peut endommager votre audition.
Assurez-vous que les petites pièces sont
maintenues hors de portée des enfants.
Utilisez le produit dans un environnement
sec où la température se situe toujours
entre 0°C et 35 °C.
Nettoyage
Nettoyez le produit à l'aide d'un chion

Si Essayez la procédure suivante
Je n'arrive pas à appairer les unités
via Bluetooth.
Assurez-vous que votre Maxi est en mode microphone
en appuyant sur le sélecteur de microphone(4). Essayez
à nouveau d'appairer les unités en suivant les étapes
indiquées dans la section Appairage.
Rien ne se produit lorsque j'appuie
sur le bouton Marche/Arrêt du Maxi.

D'abord, assurez-vous que le volume est au bon niveau.
Puis, vériez que la che du casque est correctement
branchée sur la prise casque du Maxi (12).
Le niveau de la batterie est faible. Rechargez le Maxi
(voir la rubrique Chargement du Maxi). au niveau des
touches de réglage du volume (6) du Maxi.

Branchez le casque sur un autre appareil, comme un
smartphone, et vériez si vous entendez quelque chose.
Si ce n'est pas le cas, le remplacement du casque peut
s'avérer nécessaire.
Si le mode Bluetooth est sélectionné, assurez-vous
que le TV Streamer ou le téléphone mobile se trouve à
portée, qu'il est appairé et qu'il diuse un son.

Vériez que la fonction Bluetooth est activée sur votre

Maxi Pro について

まず始めに

テレビのリスニング
