Read this section thoroughly to get an overall view of
how to operate your syste fro a Keypad. KYO 300
anages up to 16 Alison/32LP Keypads (Fig. 1), or up to 32
MIA-D and/or Alison-DV Keypads. KYO100 anages up to
16 Alison-S or up to 16 Alison/32LP.
Alison/S, Alison/32LP, MIA-D and Alison-DV keypads are
si ilar except that:
MIA-D has a larger display and provides 3 pairs of fast
keys for instant activation of Burglar, Fire and E er-
gency Alar s (to be progra ed by your Installer);
Alison-DV is s aller and provides an integrated i-
crophone and loudspeaker for Voice functions (Voice
essage recording, Talk-Listen in sessions, etc.).
Alison-S is identical to Alison-DV but does not provide an
integrated icrophone and loudspeaker (supported by
KYO 100 only).
Alison/32LP has a built-in proxi ity Reader and is for sys-
te anage ent only, therefore, it is not suitable for pro-
gra ing purposes (refer to the Alison/32LP Instructions
leaflet).
Figure 1 shows the ain co ponents of the MIA-D,
Alison-DV and Alison/32LP Keypads:

Contrast Ad ustment
To adjust the contrast of the LCD display, press and hold:
C to increase contrast
D to decrease contrast
Brightness ad ustment
To adjust the brightness of the LCD display, press and
hold:

Superkey functions
If your Installer has set up the ‘S perkeys’, you will be
able to perfor so e “Quick” operations fro the keypad
without using codes. The table on the next page shows
how to activate the progra ed functions.

The ‘S perkeys’ can be set up to activate:
Electrical appliances (e.g. Heating syste , Lights, etc.)
the Digital co unicator
the Dialler
The ‘S perkey’ actions are instant and will be confir ed
by a feed back signal (beep).
The Superkeys can be set up to work differently on the
different Keypads.
If the FIRE, BURGLARY and AUXILIARY eys are
in service, holding down both eys for approximately
3 seconds will activate the respective command.
Audible and Visual signals on the Keypad
This following paragraphs describe how the Keypad LEDs,
display and sounder indicate the syste status.
Table 1 shows the eaning of the four indicator LEDs on
the MIA/D, Alison-DV and Alison-S Keypads, and the eight
indicator LEDs on the Alison/32LP.
LEDs
Refer to Table 2 for the description of the four LEDs on
the Keypad.
Display
During standby status, the first line will show the Ti e
and Date, as follows.
If the Control panel has stored a zone Alar or Ta per
event (a LED on or blinking, respectively), the first line
will show the description of the zone concerned, as fol-
lows.
If the Control panel has stored several zone Alar s and/or
Ta per events in the e ory, the first line will show the
zones concerned (one-by-one at 3 second intervals).
The second line will provide infor ation on the status of
the Partitions.

The left-hand side of the display will provide infor ation on the
status of the Keypad Partitions, as shown in Table 3.
KYO 300 manages up to 32 Partitions (KYO 100
manages 16). However, only 8 Partitions can be
viewed on MIA/D, Alison-DV and Alison-S Keypads.
Therefore, the numbers below the display will corre-
spond only when the first 8 Partitions are selected
(refer to Quic View Partition mode).
Trouble conditions will be signalled on the right-hand side
of the second line. The trouble conditions are represented
by the Icons directly below the display. Presence or
e ory of Trouble conditions will be indicated by an “û“
above the relevant Icon (refer to Table 4 for details).
If the Teleservice or Answering Machine facility is Ena-
bled, an asterisk (*) will be shown above the respective
Icon (refer to Table 5 for details).
If the Telephone line is busy or down, a ÿ will appear
above the Icon (refer to Table 6 for details).

The Keypad sounder will e it a beep each ti e you press
a key. It will also signal:
the Exit ti e (slow beeps);
the Entry ti e (fast beeps);
the Auto-ar ti eout (four-beep sequence);
if the respective option is enabled, Partition Alar or
Ta per event in e ory (two-beep sequence);
data input errors or invalid operations (buzz).
Basic Commands
You can control eight basic co ands fro standby sta-

tus by entering your code and pressing the respective
keys (refer to the following Table). All co ands except
‘View Trouble’ require a valid User Code.
‘View Trouble’ mode is available on LCD Keypads
at all times, and can be accessed without entering
a Code.
Commands will affect only the Partitions common
to both the User code and Keypad concerned (com-
mon Partitions).
Invalid co ands will be signalled by a buzz and the
following essage:
invalid co ands ay be due to the User code or the
Keypad (e.g. the User code is Disabled on the Keypad
Partitions).
If you do not press a ey within 30 seconds, the
eypad will revert automatically to standby status.
The User can enter the following co ands at the
Keypad.
Arming Partitions (<Code>O)
This co and will Ar all the co on Partitions of the
User code and the Keypad in use.
DO NOT assign Duress Codes to Arming commands.
Disarming Partitions (<Code>o)
This co and will Disar all the co on Partitions of
the User code and the Keypad in use.
Disarm nder D ress
This co and requires entry of a D ress Code. The
Control panel will Disar the Partitions and will send the
progra ed Alar calls but will not signal the outgoing
calls on the Keypad (usually signalled by a ÿ over the i
icon).
Disarm by Patrol Code
If a Patrol Code is used to Disar the Partitions, the
Control panel will rear the Partitions auto atically when
the progra ed Patrol Ti e expires.
Arming in A, B, C or D Mode
(<Code> A, B, C or D)
DO NOT assign Duress Codes to A, B, C or D Mode
Arming commands.
Each user code can be set up to anage four different
Ar ing ode configurations: A, B, C and D. These con-
figurations deter ine the Partitions which will Ar , and
those which will Disar when an A, B, C or D Mode
co and is entered at a Keypad (the final configuration
depends on the User code and Keypad Partitions).
Keypads can operate ONLY on the Partitions they
are assigned to.
Q ick Arm (for MIA/D, Alison-DV and Alison-S)
If the Quick Ar option is enabled, you will be able to
Ar the Partitions without having to enter a User code,
as follows.
1. Press O: the Keypad will sound a beep.
2. Press and hold the O key for approxi ately 3 sec-
onds, the Keypad will sound a second beep, and the
display will show the following essage:

3. Press A, B, C or D within 4 seconds (to Ar in
A, B, C or D ode, as required). If you do not press
a key within 4 seconds the Control panel will Ar the
Partitions auto atically in Away ode.
Quick Ar operations will affect the Keypad Partitions
and the Partitions assigned to the Quick Ar ethod.
Your Installer will tell you which Keypads can be used,
and which Partitions are involved.
Abo t Partition Arming
If you Ar a Partition with an Exit Ti e, the Keypad will
e it slow beeps to signal the elapsing Exit Ti e.
If you ar several Partitions with different Exit Ti es,
the Keypad will e it slow beeps until all the Partition
Exit Ti es expire. However, each Partition will Ar when
its own Exit Ti e ends.
When you enter a valid Ar ing co and at a Keypad,
the Control panel will check for:
a) Zones in Alarm
b) Inactive Zones
b) Bypassed Zones
The Partitions will Ar i ediately if none of the previ-
ously entioned conditions is present. If your syste
detects zones in Alar , Inactive and/or Bypassed status,
the respective essage will be shown on the display.

press D then, using the arrow, check which zones
are concerned.
Ensure that all the zone doors and windows are closed
securely, and that there is no otion in the vicinity of
otion detectors;
press e to abort the co and, then retry.

OFF) unintentionally. If necessary, use the O key to

Partitions otherwise security will be greatly reduced.
In the following exa ple, zone 5 has been BYPASSED.
Use C or D to scroll the zones in Alar , Inactive or
Bypassed status.

If a Trouble condition occurs, the A ber G LED on the

ous Trouble conditions).

The first line of the display will show (fro right to left)
the status of Partitions no. 1 through no. 16, the second
row of the display will show (fro left to right) the status
of Partitions no. 17 through no. 32. The hyphen (–) indi-
cates that the Partition is not a Keypad Partition.
The Partition status will be shown for approxi ately 6
seconds.
Partition status enquiry is possible on Enabled Key-
pads only. If Partition Alarm or Tamper is present
the respective character will blin .
Accessing the User menu (<Code> E)
(for MIA/D, Alison-S and Alison-DV Keypads)
Enter a valid User Code then press the E key to access
the User enu. The User enu will allow Users to ac-
cess ONLY the co ands they are enabled for.
You can access the User menu when the Control
panel is Armed or Disarmed.
Using C and D, scroll for the required option then
press the E key.
Press e as any ti es as required to step back and
exit the enu.
Several Users can access the menu at the same
time from different eypads.
The User enu provides the following options:

Your Installer has programmed your Control panel
with your requirements in mind. Therefore, some of
the options may not be available.
This syste can anage 195 User Codes. Only the first
User Code (0001) is Active and can operate the syste .
Your Installer will enable and progra as any User
Codes as necessary. The progra ed Access Level de-
fines the User Code Partitions (the Partitions the User
Code can control) and the User Code options (the op-
tions the User Code can access). The men will show
the options the entered User Code is enabled for.
The following paragraphs describe all the Options on the
User enu.
The commands will affect ONLY the common Parti-
tions of the User Code and Keypad in use.

TReset Alarms and Tamper
This co and will allow you to restore all Alar signal-
ling devices to Standby, and delete the zone and Parti-
tion Alar e ories.
Once the co and has been executed, the display will
show the following essage:

If Alar signalling persists after a Reset Alarms co -
and, select the Stop Alarms option. The causes of
persistent Alar s ust be cleared i ediately.

This co and will allow you to stop and freeze all the
Alar signalling devices. This status can be undone by
pressing any key. During this phase the Control panel
will be unable to trigger Alar s, and the display will show

Zone stat s
This co and will allow you to turn ON/OFF (UnBy-
pass/Bypass) the zones of the User Code Partitions.
The display will show the BYPASSED or UNBYPASSED
status, and the current condition of the zone, as follows:
ALARM (Alar conditions present)
TAMPER (Ta per conditions present e.g. Wires cut)
SHORT (Ta per conditions present e.g. Short-circuit)
STBY (zone in standby status)
NOTE: You must call your Installer if any zones signal
Tamper or Short-circuit.

or BYPASS (Turn OFF) the zone, as required.
4. Use C or D to scroll the zones and continue, or
press the e key twice to step back to the User enu.
Attempts to Arm (turn ON) the Partitions when zones
are Bypassed or in Alarm status will activate the
Zones status list automatically. Only the zones that
are about to be Armed will be included in the list.
Event Logger
This co and will allow you to view and print the events
in the Event Logger. The Control panel Event logger can
store up to 10,000 events (KYO 100 stores up to 1500
events). The events are stored in chronological order —
starting fro the ost recent event.
Each event shows the following details:

This facility is provided by the optional K3-PRT Printer
Interface (as your Installer for details).
The Event Logger
The Event logger is set up as follows:
the Event nu ber (Ev.) is shown on the left side of the
first line;
the Event details (TYPE, IDENT., USER, USER ID,
TIME) are shown on the second line.
Using the Event Logger:
Use C and D to scroll the Events.
Press B to view the Event details (see above).
Press the e to step back to the Event Logger enu.
The display will show the relevant details for each
Event. For example, Tamper Events show the TYPE
and TIME only.
Enable/Disable A to-arm
Your Installer ay have set up Partitions to turn ON/
OFF at preset ti es. This co and will allow you to
turn the Sched ler ON/OFF, and Enable/Disable auto-
atic ON/OFF control.
Use C and D to scroll the Partitions, and the O and
o keys to Enable/Disable the Scheduler.

Teleservice req est
If your Installer has set up this facility, this co and will
allow you to request on-line assistance ( aintenance
that does not require co ponents or wiring). Teleservice
requests will be confir ed by the following essage:

The Teleservice request will stop any ongoing Telephone
calls (Teleservice requests fro the User have priority
over other call types), and will send the Teleservice call
(or calls) to the Installer telephone nu ber (or nu bers).
The installer must be equipped and ready for Tel-
eservice, otherwise the request will be ignored.
Enable/Disable Teleservice
This co and will allow you to Enable/Disable the Con-
trol panel to receive Teleservice calls. The co and will
be confir ed by the following essage:

Press o to prevent the Control panel fro receiving
Teleservice calls.
Press the E key to confir and step back to the User

If Teleservice is disabled (OFF), the Control panel will
not accept inco ing Teleservice calls, and on-line installer
assistance will not be possible.
If Teleservice is enabled (ON), the Installer will be able
to:
View the Control panel stat s — Partition status;
Alar e ory, Bypassed zones, Zone status, Event
logger, Peripheral device status, etc.
Change the Control panel stat s — Change Parti-
tion status, Clear the Alar e ory and Bypass zones
(active User Code required).
Change the Control panel parameters — if all the
partitions are disar ed and the Partition Patrol Ti es
are not active.
The Teleservice facility allows the Installer to check and
work on the Control panel fro a re ote co puter, and
carry out aintenance work that does not require new
wiring or co ponents.
An * will be shown on the display directly above the
t when the Teleservice facility is enabled.
Enable/disable Answering device
This co and will allow you to turn ON/OFF the An-
swering device. If the Answering device is ON, the Con-
trol panel will answer inco ing calls with a Voice es-
sage. This facility is provided by the K3-VOX Voice board
(accessory ite ).

If your Installer has set up your syste to control appli-
ances (sprinklers, lights, etc.), this co and will allow
you to turn the appliances ON/OFF anually.
To turn ON/OFF Outputs (appliances):

If your Installer has progra ed your Control panel to
send Alar calls, it will call the progra ed telephone

False Alar , this co and will allow you to interrupt
the ongoing call, and clear the call queue.
If you select this co and the display will show the

Overtime req est
If the Auto-ar option is enabled, and the syste is pro-
gra ed to Ar auto atically at a preset ti e, the Over-
ti e request will allow you to delay the Auto-ar ing
event.
Acceptance of the Overti e Request will be confir ed by
an audible feed back signal and the following essage:

If any of the Partitions concerned is unable to imple-
ment the Overtime request, the Keypad will emit an
audible error signal.
The Installer will set up the Auto-ar and Overti e Re-
quest events with your installation in ind, and will pro-
vide you with all the necessary infor ation (regarding
the partitions involved, and the nu ber of Overti e re-
quests you can ake before an Auto-ar event).
Change Time and Date
This co and will allow you to set the current Date and
Ti e.
You cannot change the Time and Date when Parti-
tions are Armed.
1. Using C or D select NEW TIME - DATE, then
press E.

Reset PC programming
When the syste is progra ed fro a co puter (on-
site or via Mode ) or a Keypad, the Control panel will
trigger the Programming Start event.
The Control panel classifies this event as a Trouble con-
dition, therefore, it will be signalled on the G LED.
To view this Trouble condition, you ust access View Trou-
ble ode, the display will show the following essage:

To clear this Trouble condition—select the Reset PC
Prog. option fro the User enu and press the E key,
the display will show the following essage for several
seconds and the G LED will turn OFF (unless there are

Programming PIN codes
If your Installer has set up the User Code hierarchy (Mas-
ter and Slave Codes).
This co and will allow Master Codes to select/
deselect the Active status of their Slave Codes (Enable/
Disable Slave Codes), and change their Slave Code PINs.
This command is available to Maste Codes only.
Active Slave Codes can access the syste and control
their enabled Partitions and functions.
To allow/deny syste access to a Slave Code:
1. Use C and D to scroll the Slave Codes list (ac-
cessed by the Master Code).

A Code can be both a Master and a Slave (i.e. Slave

te objects (Outputs, Codes, Keys, Cards, etc.). Ask
your Installer for details. The En/Dis Timer option will
allow you to Enable/Disable the Ti ers, as follows:

NOTE: A Key can be Enabled/Disabled ONLY by Codes

Only the first Code (ID no. 001 — PIN 0001) is Active at
default.
The operations will affect ONLY the Zones and Par-
titions common to the User and Keypad concerned,
as per the configuration set up during the Program-
ming phase.
The following section describes the co ands which

Reset Alarms
To Reset Alar s (refer to page 9), proceed as follows.
1. Access the Programming phase (see above).

USING DIGITAL KEYS AND CARDS
The Digital Keys/Cards will allow you to perfor all the
basic operations fro enabled Readers.
Readers
Readers have 3 Syste status LEDs (Red, Green and
A ber).
Readers can also be used to signal three specific
events. As your Installer for details.
This Control panel anages:
ECLIPSE Readers (see Figure 2b) - These devices
accept co ands fro SAT Keys (Key ust inserted
into the key slot on the Reader).
PROXI Proximity Readers (see Figure 2d) - These
devices accept co ands fro Digital Keys and
PROXI-CARDS (the Card/Key ust be held near the
sensitive field of the Reader).
Alison/32LP LED Keypads (see Fig. 3e) - These
Keypads have built in Proximity Readers Readers
and accept co ands fro Digital Keys and PROXI-
CARDS (the Card/Key ust be held near the sensi-
tive field of the Reader).
KYO 300 anages up to 32 Readers (KYO 100 an-
ages 16 Readers). This Control panel supports up to 32
Readers. The Installer will progra the following para -
eters for each Reader:

Digital Keys/Cards
This Control panel can anage:
SAT Keys (see Figure 2a) - These work with ECLIPSE
and PROXI Readers.
PROXI-CARDS (see Figure 2c) - These work with
PROXI Readers only.
The section describes how to operate your syste fro
a Key/Card Reader. Each Key/Card has a rando code
— selected fro over 4 billion co binations.
Your Installer can assign an Identifier Nu ber and De-
scription to up to 500 Keys/Cards. The nu ber will be
recorded in the Event Logger each ti e the Key/Card
operates on the Syste . The Digital Keys/Cards can be
progra ed to operate on specific Partitions.
In this Manual, the word Reader refers to ECLIPSE
and PROXI Readers.
The Reader LEDs
The ECLIPSE Key and PROXI Card Readers si plify
syste control by replacing User Code PINs with high
Security Digital Keys or Cards. The Readers have 3 LEDs,
this section describes how the LEDs will signal the Sys-
te status.
No Key/Card at Reader
When no Digital Key/Card is present at the Reader, the
LEDs will signal as shown in Table 8.

The Partitions that are not controlled by the Reader will
not affect the LEDs.
If the configuration of the Ar ed Partitions does not atch
either A or B Mode Ar ing (for exa ple, one of the Reader
Partitions has been Ar ed via Keypad), neither the A -
ber nor Green LED will turn ON.
The Installer can program the Reader LEDs to sig-
nal the System status at all times, or alternatively,
only in response to a Valid Key/Card (LEDs OFF
when no Key/Card is present).
Key/Card at Reader
When a Key/Card is present at the Reader, the LEDs
will signal as follows.
a) Fast Blinking on 1 LED - Before Ar ing the Parti-
tions, the Control panel will check the status of the
Unbypassed (ON) and Instant Zones. If a Zone is ‘Vio-
lated’ (e.g. door or window open), the LED, associ-
ated with the selected Ar ing Mode, will blink quickly.
If this occurs, DO NOT ARM the Syste , as Ar ing
will trigger a False Alar .
It ta es the Control panel about 2 seconds to chec
all the Zones.
False Alarms can be stopped by simply Disarming
the system (refer to “Digital Key/Card Reader opera-
tions” in this section). If you accidentally trigger an
Alarm, call the Central Station to prevent the opera-
tor from ta ing unnecessary action.
If, when you Arm the system, the Control panel de-
tects Autobypassable zones in Alarm status, it will
bypass them automatically. In this way, false Alarms
will not be triggered, however, Bypassed zones will
be UnBypassed automatically when their Partitions
are next disarmed.
b) Fast Blinking on all 3 LEDs - This will occur when a
False Key/Card is present at the Reader.
c) Slow Blinking on all 3 LEDs (ECLIPSE Readers
only) - This Mode will allow you to restore the previ-
ous setting (reset the Ar ing Mode that was active
before the SAT Key was inserted. To Reset: push
the SAT Key into the ECLIPSE Reader until the 3
LEDs start to blink slowly, the previous setting will
be restored when you re ove the Key.
b) Red LED ON - The Syste will Ar when you re-
ove the Key/Card fro the Reader.
e) Amber LED ON - The Syste will Ar in A Mode
when you re ove the Key/Card fro the Reader.
f) Green LED ON - The Syste will Ar in B Mode
when you re ove the Key/Card fro the Reader.
Your Installer may have Disabled the Reader LEDs,
therefore, they will not turn ON even when a valid
Key/Card is used.
Multiple Systems
The Digital Keys/Cards can be progra ed (by the In-
staller) to operate on ore than one Syste , and to
anage different Partitions on each Syste .
Digital Key/Card operations
The Digital Keys/Cards can:
Arm — Global Mode
Disarm
Arm — A Mode
Arm — B Mode
Stop Alarms
Arm/Disarm Patrol
Your Installer may have programmed some “restricted”
Digital Keys/Cards. These Keys/Cards will be allowed
to perform a maximum number of operations (from 1
to 254) after which, they will be Disabled automati-
cally. Disabled “restricted” Digital Keys/Cards can
be re-enabled and refreshed with the same number
of operations via the User Menu (refer to Enable/
Disable Key/Card).

Disarm (T rning OFF yo r system)
This operation will Disar all the Partitions co on to
both the Digital Key/Card and Reader in use.
To Disar the Syste (all LEDs OFF):
1. Insert the SAT Key into the ECLIPSE Reader, or hold
the proxi ity Key/Card near the sensitive field of the
PROXI Reader — until all the LEDs turn OFF (see
Figure 3a).
2. Re ove the Key/Card to Disar the Syste .
Arm — Global Mode (T rning ON yo r system)
This operation will Ar all the Partitions co on to both
the Digital Key/Card and Reader in use.
To Ar the Syste in Global Mode (Red LED ON):
1. Insert the SAT Key into the ECLIPSE Reader, or hold
the proxi ity Key/Card near the sensitive field of the
PROXI Reader — until the Red LED turns ON (see
Figure 3b).
2. Re ove the Key/Card to Ar the Syste in Global
Mode.
Arm — A Mode
This operation will Ar or Disar the Partitions in ac-
cordance with the A Mode Ar ing configuration (pro-
gra ed by the Installer).
To Ar the Syste in A Mode (A ber LED ON):
From ECLIPSE Readers
1a. Fro Disar ed status (Red LED OFF): insert the
SAT Key into the ECLIPSE Reader — the Red LED
will turn ON (see Figure 3b).
2a. Push the Key once against the switch inside the
Reader. The Red LED will turn OFF and the A ber
LED will turn ON (see Figure 3c).
3a. Re ove the Key. As you re ove the Key the Red
LED will turn ON and the Syste will Ar in A Mode.
From PROXI Readers
1b. Hold the Proxi ity Key/Card near the sensitive field
of the PROXI Reader. The LEDs will light in turn (at 2
second intervals).

2b. Re ove the Key/Card when the A ber LED turns
ON. At this point, the Red LED will also turn ON and
the Syste will Ar in A Mode.
Arm — B Mode
This operation will Ar or Disar the Partitions in ac-
cordance with the B Mode Ar ing configuration (pro-
gra ed by the Installer).
To Ar the Syste in B Mode (Green LED ON):
From ECLIPSE Readers
1a. Fro Disar ed status (Red LED OFF): insert the
SAT Key into the ECLIPSE Reader — the Red LED
will turn ON (see Figure 3b).
2a. Push the Key twice against the switch inside the
Reader. The Green LED will turn ON (see Figure 3d).
3a. Re ove the Key. As you re ove the Key the Red
LED will also turn ON and the Syste will Ar in B
Mode.
From PROXI Readers
1b. Hold the Proxi ity Key/Card near the sensitive field
of the PROXI Reader. The LEDs will light in turn (at 2
second intervals).
2b. Re ove the Key/Card when the Green LED turns ON.
At this point, the Red LED will also turn ON and the
Syste will Ar in B Mode.
Stop Alarms (for ECLIPSE Readers ONLY)
To Stop Alar s: insert a SAT Key into an ECLIPSE
Reader (see Figure 4e).
The outco e of this operation depends on how the In-
staller has progra ed the SAT Key.
If the SAT Key has been duly progra ed, this opera-
tion can:
Stop Partition Alarms generated by Partitions co on
to the SAT Key and ECLIPSE Reader in use, and/or
Stop Control panel Alarms and/or
Clear the Call Q e e (end the ongoing call, and inhibit
further Alar calls).
When the SAT Key is inserted into the Reader, the Red
LED will switch status, and the A ber and Green LEDs
will turn OFF.

To restore the setting (reset the Arm Mode that was
active before the SAT Key was inserted) — push
the SAT Key into the ECLIPSE Reader until the 3
LEDs start to blin slowly, the previous setting will
be restored when the Key is removed.
Arm/Disarm Patrol
Digital Keys/Cards with this attribute can Ar /Disar
the syste during the progra ed Patrol Ti e.
The Wireless Key
If your syste is equipped with a Vector/RX Wireless
Receiver, it will be possible to control all the ain func-
tions fro re ote locations by eans of Wireless Keys
(see Figure 4).
This section describes the functions that can be
controlled by Wireless Keys.
The operations performed by Wireless Keys will not
be confirmed by any type of feed bac signal (audi-
ble or visual), unless done in the vicinity of a Reader
or a Keypad, or a device that has been especially
set up to provide feed bac signals.
Global Mode
Press the button until the LED turns ON (see Fig. 5),
to Arm all the Partitions of the Wireless Key in use.
Stay Mode
Press the button until the LED turns ON (see Fig. 5),
to Arm all the Partitions of the Wireless Key in use in
Stay Mode.
Disarm
Press the button until the LED turns ON (see Fig. 5),
to Disarm all the Partitions of the Wireless Key in use.
Other f nctions
Press the key until the LED turns ON (see Fig. 5),
to activate the special functions progra ed for the Wire-
less Key in use.
Low Battery
If any of the Wireless Key batteries starts to run low, the
G LED on the Keypads will Turn ON.
All the system Trouble conditions are signalled by
the G LED. Therefore, if this LED turns ON, you
must access the View T ouble Mode for details.
The Low Wireless Battery condition will be signalled in
View Tro ble Mode by the [Low_battery_WLS] es-
sage (refer to "View Trouble Mode" under "Basic Co -
ands" in the "OPERATING YOUR SYSTEM FROM A
KEYPAD" section).
The Event Logger (refer to the IDENT field of the event
TYPE [Battery_low_____]) will provide the details of
the Wireless key that has triggered the Low battery con-
dition (refer to "Event Logger" under "Accessing the User
enu" in the “OPERATING YOUR SYSTEM FROM A Fig. 5 - Wireless ey
KEYPAD" section).
Call your installer and have the battery replaced.
