USER MANUAL ULTRA POWER HEATED SOLES
GENERAL OPERATION
The BERSTSCHAT® heated soles heat your feet by means of an electric heang element. An external baery supplies
the insoles with energy. The soles can provide heat at three levels. The seng can be adjusted using the buon on
the baeries or the remote control.
The sensor in the sole connuously keeps the temperature at the set value. Depending on the ambient temperature
and insulaon value of the shoe, the sole will use more or less energy.
ULTRA POWER SOLES & ULTRA POWER DUAL HEATING
The heang element of the Ultra Power insoles is located at the front foot and toes. The Ultra Power Dual Heang
insoles have an addional heang element under the mid-foot area. The larger heang surface provides more heat.
CUT TO SIZE
On the boom of the sole, you will nd a number of lines with size indicaon. Do not cut the soles beyond the last
line. Cung beyond this line runs the risk of cung the heang elements and rendering the sole non-funconal.
BERTSCHAT® Heated Soles are thin and ergonomically designed. This allows them to be worn comfortably in any
shoe.
Do not bend the soles more than 90 degrees. If the sole is bent further, damage may occur to the heang element.
FIRST USE AND PAIRING REMOTE CONTROL
To switch on the soles, the baeries must rst be paired. This is easily done by connecng the USB-C plug coming
from the sole to the baeries. The baeries are switched on by pressing the buon for 3 seconds. The three lights
on the baery will turn on. If 3 lights are on, it means the sole is heang at the highest seng. By pressing the but-
ton, you can adjust the heang seng.
The rst three mes the baeries should be fully charged and used unl fully discharged. This fully acvates the
baeries, and they will have their full capacity.
During charging, the baery lights ash red. When the baery is fully charged, the lights will be on connuously. A
charging me of 8 hours should be maintained the rst three mes charging regardless of the state of the lights on
the baery.

PAIRING THE REMOTE CONTROL
1. Press the baery buon for a few seconds.
2. The le and right lights now ash, the middle light is not lit.
3. Now press buon H, M or L on the remote control.
4. The sole is now paired and jumps to the set posion.
5. Repeat this process with the other baery as well.
6. Now the soles are paired with the remote control and baery.
The remote control remains linked when you switch o the soleplate in between using the remote control. The sole
then remains on standby and sll uses a lile power.
Should the remote become disconnected anyway, it can always be paired again using the above process. A new
remote control can also be paired in this way.
If you do not use the soles for long periods of me, we recommend disconnecng the baeries.
Remote control funcons:
The remote-control features three modes and a power buon. When you want to temporarily switch o the soles,
you can press the power buon. Do you want to acvate the heat? Then press the desired temperature seng. With
seng H(igh), M(edium) and L(ow) you control the temperatures (seng H is the warmest).
If the baery has run down completely, it can be recharged using the USB charger supplied. If, aer charging, the
sole has been completely o, it must be switched on again with the buon on the baery before the remote control
will respond. The buon on the baery always has priority over the remote control: if you have switched o the sole
with the buon, it cannot be switched on again with the remote control.
SWITCHING OFF THE EXTERNAL BATTERY
You can switch o the soles by pulling the cable from the baery. However, the baery itself will sll remain on. The
baery should be switched o by pressing the buon for 3 seconds unl the 3 LED lights are o. When these are o,
the baery will also stop consuming power.

BATTERY
Your soles have state-of-the-art lithium-polymer baeries. Baery life depends on several environmental factors.
The more heat that can escape from the sole, the more power the heang element will consume. A cold ambient
temperature and a poorly insulated or damp shoe will drain the baery faster than normal winter condions or a
shoe that already naturally retains a lot of heat.
CHARGING & MAINTENANCE
Aer the rst three full charges and discharges, the baery may always be recharged, regardless of how much
charge is le in it.
1. During charging, the baeries should be switched o.
2. Use only the supplied adapter for charging.
3. Only clean the soles with a damp cloth.
4. Store the soles in a dry, clean place.
5. If the soles have become wet, let them air dry. Do not use a heater, hairdryer or other heat source.
IMPORTANT:
If you do not use the baery for a long period of me, it will build up some internal resistance. To avoid this, it is rec-
ommended to store the baery dry and at room temperature with ± 50-75% charge. It is recommended to recharge
the baery for ± 15 minutes every two months.
Handle the soles with sucient care. The baeries are surrounded by a protecve layer, do not remove this.
PREVENTING PROBLEMS
• Have you connected the plugs properly? Check that the plug is plugged into a USB socket and that
both plugs are funconing in the baery.
• Do the lights on the baery ash during charging? The light turns red when the baery is
being charged.
• Do the lights on the baery stay on? The baeries are fully charged when the lights stop ashing
and are on connuously.

• Is one of the soles not working? Change the baery. If one of the baeries does work, there may be
a problem with the baery. If the sole does not work, the problem will probably be in the sole Does it
work when the plugs of the soles are mutually exchanged? If one of the plugs does work, it is possible
that a cable is broken.
• Are the plugs (in the sole and of the cable) free from contaminaons?
Dirt on the charger may block the power supply. Try a dierent USB charger.
• Do the soles not last long enough? How long the soles last depend on several factors:
- Outdoor temperature.
- Shoes.
- Heat posion.
In the soles there are sensors that monitor the heat. When you have well insulated shoes, the soles will require less
energy to achieve the same result.
Tip: in due course, fully charge the soles three mes, then use them without interrupon unl they are completely
empty. This could give an energy boost, giving them back the original power.
FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS:
• Always switch o the soles aer use.
• Remove both plugs from the soles if you are not using them.
• Store the soles and adapter in a cool and dry locaon.
• The soles may only be charged with the original charger.
• Keep the soles away from sharp or pointed objects.
• If the soles have become wet, only allow them to dry naturally and do not place them on the heang
or any other heat source.
• If the soles are damp, allow them to dry fully before charging.
WARNINGS
• The soles are not suitable for use by minors.
• Do not make any changes to the soles and/or baery, other than cung the sole to size.
• In case of damage to baery or charger, stop using the product.
• When the baery swells up, immediately stop using it and contact the manufacturer.

• Do not drill through the baery or make holes in the baery in any other way.
• Make sure the heang elements do not overlap for a longer period of me, this could lead to a
situaon where the temperature is too hot.
• This product is only intended to be used by people and should not be used on animals.
• The soles can become very warm. If you have a reduced sensivity to heat or cold, we
recommend consulng a doctor rst.
• In case of a higher ambient temperature, the sensaon of heat will be stronger. In that case, set
the soles to a lower posion that does feel comfortable.
• In case of incorrect use of the baery, there is a possible explosion hazard.
• Avoid direct skin contact with the heang elements at all mes, this could lead to burns in case of
long-term use. If you noce a hole in the fabric and the heang wire becomes visible, stop using the
soles.
• Baeries are never 100% idencal, there can always be a dierence in performance.
IMPORTANT
• Please carefully read the user instrucons.
• This product is not suitable for children.
• This product is not suitable for persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilies or
persons who are under supervision and/or do not understand the hazards. These above-menoned
persons should not be allowed to use this product.
• Children are never allowed to play with this product.
• Cleaning and care should not be performed by children who are not supervised.
• The heated products as well as the baery packs should be regularly checked for signs of wear
or damage. If such signs are visible, the product has been used incorrectly or the product does not
funcon, it should be sent back to the supplier before it is used again.
• Elderly people or persons with reduced sensivity of the skin are advised to not use the product.
• The product may not be used for warming animals.
• If you have diculty sensing heat or cold (disabled persons, etc.), please consult your doctor
before using the product.

• Regularly check your body for red discoloraons of the skin. A heang power that is too high
for a longer period of me could cause burns.
• The heated accompanying products may only be used in combinaon with the original baeries.
• Always use the original supplied charger for charging. It is only intended for indoor use and should
not be exposed to humidity.
• Never try to open or repair a baery yourself.
• In case of quesons or any failures, always immediately contact the supplier.
• If you establish damage to the charger, charging cable or other parts of the product, the product
should no longer be used.
• Do not make any changes to the product and do not use it for any other purposes.
• Have repairs to the baery packs and other components only performed by the manufacturer.
• When the baery packs are no longer being used, hand them in at a collecon point for
electronic waste.
• Do not store baery packs near a heat source and do not throw them in open re. Explosion hazard.
• Never drill through the baery packs. Explosion hazard.
• The product is not intended for use in hospitals.
• The technology used complies with all relevant legislaon and regulaons. Whether the product can
be used in the vicinity of other sensive electronic products (such as pacemakers, etc.) must be checked
at the manufacturers of these electronic products.
• Make sure that no other objects are placed on top of the product during storage, as it could bend as
a result.
• If an environment is entered that has a considerably higher temperature, the heang must be
switched o, as overheang could occur otherwise.
• Never use heated products in combinaon with other heated products, heat on heat could lead
to overheang.

REMOVING THE BATTERIES:
As we also supply baeries with our product, we are obliged according to legislaon that applies to baeries to point
out the following to you:
Baeries may not be disposed of as household waste. The consumer is legally obliged to return baeries separately
aer use. Old baeries could contain harmful substances that could damage your health or the environment if not
properly stored and disposed of. However, baeries also contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manga-
nese or nickel and can be reused. Aer use, you can return the baeries to us or hand them in for free at a locaon
near you (e.g. at a shop or a municipal collecon point). The waste container with cross means that you should not
add baeries to your household waste.
If you have any quesons or if anything is unclear, please contact your supplier.

ALGEMENE WERKING
De BERSTSCHAT® verwarmde zolen verwarmen uw voeten door middel van een elektrisch warmte-element. Een
externe accu voorziet de zolen van energie. De zolen kunnen op drie standen warmte geven. De stand kan worden
ingesteld met de knop op de accu’s of de afstandsbediening.
De sensor in de zool houdt de temperatuur connu op de ingestelde waarde. Aankelijk van de omgevingstem-
peratuur en isolaewaarde van de schoen zal de zool meer of minder energie verbruiken.
ULTRA POWER ZOLEN & ULTRA POWER DUAL HEATING
Het verwarmingselement van de Ultra Power zolen bevindt zich bij de voorvoet en tenen. Bij de Ultra Power Dual
Heang zolen bevindt zich een extra verwarmgingselement onder de middenvoet. Het grotere verwarmingsopper-
vlak zorgt voor meer warmte.
OP MAAT KNIPPEN
Aan de onderzijde van de zool vindt u een aantal lijnen met maat-indicae. Knip de zolen niet verder af dan de laat-
ste lijn. Door verder dan deze lijn te knippen loopt u het risico dat de verwarmingselementen worden doorgeknipt en
de zool niet meer funconeert.
De BERTSCHAT® Verwarmde Zolen zijn dun en ergonomisch ontworpen. Hierdoor kunnen ze in elke schoen com-
fortabel gedragen kunnen worden.
Buig de zolen niet meer dan 90 graden. Indien de zool verder wordt gebogen kan er schade ontstaan aan het ver-
warmingselement.
