Prüfwerkzeugsatz für Zweimassenschwungrad
ALLGEMEINE
Der Werkzeugsatz ist geeignet zum Überprüfen von Freiwinkel und Kippspiel an Zweimassen-
schwungrädern (ZMS). Eine Überprüfung ist beim Kupplungswechsel zwingend erforderlich, da ein
verschlissenes bzw. schadhaftes ZMS zur Zerstörung der neuen Kupplung und anderer Bauteile
führen kann. Die Überprüfung ist nach Demontage der Kupplungsscheibe im eingebauten Zustand
möglich.

Vorsicht bei Arbeiten an heißen Motoren.
Vorsicht bei Arbeiten an laufenden Motoren, lose Kleidung, Werkzeuge und andere Gegenstände
können von drehenden Teilen erfasst werden und zu schweren Verletzungen führen.
Beachten Sie immer die geltenden Arbeitsschutz- und Sicherheitsbestimmungen.
Sichern Sie, vor der Montage der Werkzeuge, das Fahrzeug gegen unbeabsichtigtes Starten

MESSMETHODEN
Bei Zweimassenschwungrädern mit einer geraden Anzahl
an Befestigungsschrauben der Kupplungsdruckplatte, wird
der Hebel mittig montiert und der Freiwinkel mit Hilfe der
Drehwinkelscheibe bestimmt.
Diese Messmethode wird bei den meisten ZMS angewendet
und sollte bevorzugt werden.
Bei Zweimassenschwungrädern mit einer ungeraden
Anzahl an Befestigungsschrauben der
Kupplungsdruckplatte, wird der Hebel nichtmittig montiert
und der Freiwinkel wird über die Anzahl der Zähne des
Anlasserkranzes bestimmt.
Freiwinkelbestimmung mit Gradscheibe
1.
Montieren Sie 2 passenden Befestigungsbolzen (6)
gegenüberliegend in den Gewinden der
Kupplungsdruckplatte.
2.
Montieren Sie den Hebel (7) so, dass die 4-kant Aufnahme
mittig auf dem ZMS angebracht ist.
3.
Blockieren Sie das ZMS mit Hilfe der Arretierkrallen (1).
4.
Fixieren Sie die Drehwinkelscheibe mit Hilfe der
Drehwinkelscheiben-Arretierung (3) und dem Halter (4).

5.
Drehen Sie die Sekundärschwungscheibe mit dem Hebel
gegen den Uhrzeigersinn, bis die Federkraft
der Bogenfedern spürbar ist.
6.
Hebel langsam loslassen, bis die Bogenfedern entspannt
sind.
Zeiger der Drehwinkelscheibe auf „O“ stellen.
7.
Sekundärschwungscheibe mit dem Hebel im Uhrzeigersinn
drehen, bis die Federkraft der Bogenfedern spürbar ist.
8.
Hebel langsam loslassen, bis die Bogenfedern
entspannt sind.
Wert auf Gradscheibe mit Angaben des Fahrzeugherstellers
vergleichen.

Freiwinkelbestimmung mit Zähnezahl
1.
Montieren Sie 2 passende Befestigungsbolzen
gegenüberliegend in den Gewinden der
Kupplungsdruckplatte.
2.
Montieren Sie den Hebel auf dem ZMS.
3.
Blockieren Sie das ZMS mit Hilfe der Arretierkrallen.
5.
Drehen Sie die Sekundärschwungscheibe mit dem Hebel
gegen den Uhrzeigersinn, bis die Federkraft
der Bogenfedern spürbar ist.
ACHTUNG
Bei einem ZMS mit Reibsteuerscheibe ist beim Verdrehen in eine Richtung ein harter Anschlag
zu spüren. In diesem Fall muss die Sekundärschwungscheibe mit erhöhtem Kraftaufwand jeweils
um einige Millimeter in beide Richtungen über diesen Anschlag weitergedreht werden bis die
Federkraft spürbar ist. Dadurch wird die Reibsteuerscheibe im ZMS ebenfalls verdreht.

6.
Hebel langsam loslassen, bis die Bogenfedern entspannt
sind.
Sekundärschwungscheibe und Primärschwungscheibe
(Anlasserzahnkranz) auf gleicher Höhe markieren.
7.
Sekundärschwungscheibe mit dem Hebel im Uhrzeigersinn
drehen, bis die Federkraft der Bogenfedern spürbar ist.
8.
Hebel langsam loslassen, bis die Bogenfedern
entspannt sind.
Anzahl der Zähne des Anlasserzahnkranzes zwischen
beiden Markierungen zählen und mit Sollwert vergleichen.

Kippspielmessung
1.
Messuhr mit dem Halter an Motorblock anbauen.
2.
Messuhr mittig auf dem Adapter ausrichten und
entsprechend vorspannen.
ACHTUNG
Die Messung muss vorsichtig erfolgen.
Zu hoher Kraftaufwand verfälscht das Messergebnis und kann das Lager beschädigen.
3.
Hebel leicht in Richtung Motor drücken, bis ein Widerstand
zu spüren ist.
Hebel in dieser Position halten und Messuhr auf „O” stellen.
4.
Hebel leicht in die andere Richtung drücken, bis ein
Widerstand zu spüren ist.
Wert auf Messuhr mit Angaben des Fahrzeugherstellers
vergleichen.

Double-Mass Flywheel Testing Kit
GENERAL
This tool kit is suitable for testing clearance angles and tilting tolerances on double-mass flywheels.
Procedures that are necessary whenever you want to replace a clutch because a worn out or
damaged double-mass flywheel will damage the replaced clutch and/or other engine parts. After
disassembling the clutch disc, testing will be possible on built-in clutches.

METHODS OF MEASUREMENT
With double-mass flywheels that come with an even number
of bolts at the clutch pressure plate, apply the lever at the
center and measure the clearance by using the torque
setting angular gauge.
This method works with most double-mass flywheels and
should be preferred.
With double-mass flywheels that come with an odd number
of bolts at the clutch pressure plate, don’t apply the lever at
the center and measure the clearance by counting the teeth
on the cranking ring.
Measuring the clearance angle with a timing wheel
1.
Screw two appropriately sized mounting bolts (6) into the
threads of the clutch pressure plate, facing each other.
2.
Apply the lever (7) so that the square adaptor is located
over the center of the flywheel.
3.
Block the flywheel by using the locking tools (1).
4.
Install the angular dial indicator, using the locking tool for
angular dial indicator (3) and holder (4)

Turn the secondary flywheel disc with the lever counter-
clockwise until you can feel the bow springs tensioning.
6.
Release the lever slowly until the springs are unwound
again.
Set the dial of the torque setting angular gauge to “ZERO”.
7.
Turn the secondary flywheel disc with the lever clockwise
until you can feel the bow springs tensioning.
8.
Release the lever slowly until the springs are unwound
again.
Compare the measured value with the manufacturer’s
specifications.

Measuring the clearing by counting teeth
1.
Screw two appropriately sized locking bolts into the threads
of the clutch pressure plate, facing each other.
2.
Mount the lever onto the double-mass flywheel.
3.
Block the flywheel by using the locking tools.
5.
Turn the secondary flywheel disc with the lever counter-
clockwise until you can feel the bow springs tensioning.
CAUTION
When turning a double-mass flywheel that is equipped with a rubbing control plate, you can and
may sense an abrupt mechanical stop. In this case you will have to turn the secondary flywheel
disc with an extra effort for a few millimeters in both directions over this mechanical stopping point
until you can actually feel the bow springs tensioning. By doing so, the rubbing control plate will
be rotated as well.

Release the lever slowly until the springs are unwound
again.
Mark the secondary and primary (cranking ring) flywheel
disc abreast.
7.
Turn the secondary flywheel disc with the lever counter-
clockwise until you can feel the bow springs tensioning.
8.
Release the lever slowly until the springs are unwound
again.
Count the exact number of teeth on the cranking ring in
between both markings and compare that with the nominal
value.

Measuring the tilting tolerance
1.
Fasten the gauge to the engine block.
2.
Set the gauge to the center of the adaptor and preload it
appropriately.
CAUTION
The measurement must be followed through very carefully.
Excessive force will distort the measurement and may damage the bearing.
3.
Move the lever slowly in the direction of the engine until you
can sense a drag.
Hold the lever exactly in this position and set the dial of the
gauge to “ZERO”.
4.
Move the lever slowly in the opposite direction until you can
sense a drag.
Compare the measured value with the manufacturer’s
specifications.

Kit de prueba de volante de inercia doble
GENERAL
Este kit de herramientas es válido para comprobar los ángulos y la tolerancia de apriete de volantes
de inercia dobles. Estos procedimientos son necesarios si quiere cambiar el embrague porque un
volante de inercia doble defectuoso dañará el embrague y/o otras partes del motor. Después de
desmontar el disco del embrague, compruebe si es posible montar el embrague.
HERRAMIENTAS
1 Herramientas de bloqueo de volante
2 Ajuste de ángulos de torsion (medición de tolerancia de apriete)
3 Cierre angular para el ajuste del par.
4 Calibrador (medición de espesor)
5 Cierre para manómetro

METODOS DE MEDICION
Con un volante de inercia doble que viene con un número
par de pernos en la placa de presión del embrague, aplique
el nivel en el centro y mida la distancia usando el cierre
angular para el ajuste del par.
Este método trabaja con la mayoría de volantes de inercia
dobles y debe ser preferente.
Con un volante de inercia doble que viene con un número
impar de pernos en la placa de presión del embrague, no
aplique el nivel en el centro y mida la distancia contando los
dientes de la rueda dentada.
Medición de la separación con una rueda de
sincronización.
1.
Atornille dos pernos de bloqueo del tamaño adecuado en
las roscas de la placa de presión del embrague, uno frente
al otro.
2.
Aplique el nivel de forma que el adaptador se coloque sobre
el centro del volante de inercia.
3.
Bloquee el volante de inercia usando las herramientas de
bloqueo.
4.
Monte la sujeción flexible para el cierre angular en el motor
con una pinza.

en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj hasta que pueda

Compare los valores de medición con lo especificado por el
fabricante.

Medición del espacio contando dientes de la rueda.
1.
Atornille dos pernos de bloqueo del tamaño adecuado en
las roscas de la placa de presión del embrague, uno frente
al otro.
2.
Aplique el nivel sobre el volante de inercia.
3.
Bloquee el volante de inercia usando las herramientas de
bloqueo.
5.
Gire el disco del volante de inercia secundario con el nivel
en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj hasta que pueda
sentir los resortes tensos.
CUIDADO
Cuando gire el volante de inercia doble que está equipado con una placa de control, puede y
debe notar un mecanismo de parada. En este caso deberá girar el disco secundario con un
esfuerzo extra unos pocos milimetros en ambas direcciones para que pueda liberar los muelles.
Haciendo esto, la placa de control girará bien.

Suelte el nivel lentamente hasta que los muelles se
desenrollen de nuevo.
Marque el disco primario y el secundario (rueda dentada).
7.
Gire el disco del volante de inercia secundario con el nivel
en sentido a las agujas del reloj hasta que pueda sentir los
resortes tensos.
8.
Suelte el nivel lentamente hasta que los muelles se
desenrollen de nuevo
Cuente el numero exacto de dientes en la rueda dentada
entre ambas marcas y compárelo con el valor nominal.

Medición de la tolerancia de inclinación
1.
Fije el manómetro al bloque del motor.
2.
Fije el manómetro al centro del adaptador y cárguelo
adecuadamente.
CUIDADO
La medición debe seguirse cuidadosamente.
Un esfuerzo excesivo distorsionará la medición y puede dañar el cojinete.
3.
Mueva el nivel lentamente en la dirección del motor hasta
que note una resistencia.
Mantenga el nivel exactamente en esa posición y fije la
marca del manómetro a “CERO”.
4.
Mueva el nivel lentamente en la dirección contraria hasta
que note una resistencia.
Compare el valor de la medición con las especificaciones
del fabricante.
