INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
SNOW SHOVELS
Black Diamond’s snow shovel line is designed to deploy quickly. No other
snow shovel on the market allows you to react in an emergency as quickly
as our innovative and patent-pending Deploy Series. Designed for serious
excavation, our Transfer Series offers the maximum rigid shaft extension in
our shovel line. Both series feature trapezoidal designs so you never waste
precious seconds searching for spring-pin holes to lock. Both series also
have steep-walled blades for maximum snow transport and a flat-bottomed
design for digging smooth snow-pit walls. Our unique “T & D” handle offers
control and comfort, whether you’re using mitts, gloves or bare hands.
DEPLOY  AND DEPLOY 
To activate, depress the rapid deployment spring pin (A, Illustration
1) and extend the integrated shaft (B, Illustration 1) for immediate
emergency response. To collapse, depress the spring-pin (A, Illustration
2) and push the shaft (B, Illustration 2) back into the shovel blade.

TRANSFER  AND LYNX
Attach the shaft to the blade by
depressing the spring pins (A,
Illustration 3) and inserting the handle
into the blade (B, Illustration 3) until the
spring pins lock into place. Extend the
handle as needed for deeper digging.
To remove the shaft from the blade, depress the spring pin and pull the
shaft out.
EVAC SHOVEL
Depress the spring pin while inserting the
shaft into the blade (Illustration 4). Continue
inserting the shaft until the spring pin fully
locks into the blade. To assemble Hoe mode,
rotate the shaft 180 degrees before inserting
into the blade (Illustration 5).
To fully extend the shovel, grasp the blade
with one hand while depressing the upper
spring pin with the other hand. Slide the blue
upper shaft until the upper spring pin locks at
full length (Illustration 6).
To remove the shaft from the blade, depress the
lower spring pin and pull upward on the shaft
away from the blade. For improved packability,
fully compress the shaft assembly by depressing
the upper spring pin while sliding the upper
shaft toward the bend in the lower shaft.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
 When chopping hard snow or ice do not
use so much force that you bend the blade.
 Never pry a full blade of dense snow, as it
may damage the blade and/or shaft.
 Never use your shovel as a hammer.
 If sliding action becomes sticky, fully cycle
the shovel several times, clean the shaft,
spring pins and hosel to regain smooth
action.

 Periodically spray the spring pins with silicone to prevent freezing.
 If your shovel has been exposed to salt, rinse with fresh water and dry
before storing.
 Inspect your shovel before and after each use and retire it if has been
damaged.

We warrant for one year from purchase date and only to the original
retail buyer (Buyer) that our products (Products) are free from defects
in material and workmanship. For headlamps our warranty is for three
years. If Buyer discovers a covered defect, Buyer should return the
Product to the place of purchase. In the event that this is not possible,
return the Product to us at the address provided. The Product will be
repaired or replaced at our discretion. That is the extent of our liability
under this Warranty and, upon expiration of the applicable warranty
period, all such liability shall terminate. We reserve the right to require
proof of purchase for all warranty claims.
Warranty Exclusions:
We do not warranty Products against normal wear and tear (such as ski
edge cuts and abrasions, outsole wear, etc.), unauthorized modifications
or alterations, improper use, improper maintenance, accident, misuse,
negligence, damage, or if the Product is used for a purpose for which
it was not designed. This Warranty gives you specific rights, and you
may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Except for
expressly stated in this Warranty, we shall not be liable for direct, indirect,
incidental, or other types of damages arising out of, or resulting from
the use of Product. This Warranty is in lieu of all other warranties,
express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of
merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose (some states do not
allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages
or allow limitations on the duration of an implied warranty, so the above

PELLES ÀNEIGE
La gamme de pelles à neige Black Diamond est conçue pour privilégier
la vitesse de montage. En cas d’urgence, aucune autre pelle à neige
du marché ne vous permet de réagir aussi rapidement que notre série
innovante Deploy dont le brevet est en cours d’obtention. Conçue pour
d’importantes opérations de dégagement, notre série Transfer offre la plus
grande longueur de manche télescopique de notre gamme de pelles. Les
deux séries proposent un design de manche trapézoïdal : de cette manière
vous ne perdez jamais de temps à chercher à emboîter les ergots au bon
endroit. Les deux séries sont également dotées de godets tranchants pour
optimiser le déblaiement ainsi que d’un design à fond plat pour découper
des blocs de neige lisses et réguliers destinés à l’analyse du manteau
neigeux. Notre poignée en “T & D” unique en son genre assure contrôle
et confort, que vous utilisiez des moufles, des gants ou vos mains nues.
DEPLOY  ET DEPLOY 
Pour déplier : appuyer sur l’ergot (A, Illustration 1) puis tirer sur le
manche télescopique intégré (B, Illustration 1) pour être prêt à intervenir
en cas d’urgence.

Monter le manche sur le godet en appuyant
sur les ergots (A, Illustration 3) puis insérer
la poignée dans le godet (B, Illustration 3)
jusqu’à ce que les ergots se mettent en place.
Rallonger le manche selon les besoins pour
un pelletage optimisé.
Pour ôter le manche du godet, appuyer sur
l’ergot et tirer sur le manche pour le faire sortir.
PELLE EVAC
Insérez le manche dans le godet en appuyant
sur l’ergot (Illustration 4). Continuez d’insérer
le manche jusqu’à ce que l’ergot se mette
en place dans le godet. Pour le montage en
mode «Pioche», faites pivoter le manche de
180 degrés avant de l’insérer dans le godet
(Illustration 5).
Pour déplier complètement la pelle, saisissez le
godet d’une main tout en appuyant sur l’ergot
supérieur de l’autre. Faites coulisser le haut
du manche jusqu’à ce que l’ergot supérieur se
mette en place entièrement (Illustration 6).
Pour ôter le manche du godet, appuyez
sur l’ergot inférieur puis tirez sur le
manche vers le haut, à l’opposé du godet.
Pour une compacité maximale, repliez
complètement le manche en appuyant sur
l’ergot supérieur tout en faisant coulisser
le haut du manche vers le bas du manche.

PRECAUTIONS ET ENTRETIEN
 Lorsque vous taillez de la neige dure ou de la glace à l’aide de votre
pelle, modérez votre force afin de ne pas tordre le godet.
 Ne pelletez jamais un plein godet de neige lourde car vous pourriez
endommager le godet et/ou le manche.
 N’utilisez jamais votre pelle comme marteau.
 Si le système coulisse difficilement, dépliez et repliez la pelle
plusieurs fois de suite, nettoyez le manche, les ergots à ressort et
l’embout du godet pour que la manœuvre retrouve sa fluidité.
 Vaporisez régulièrement de la silicone sur les ergots afin qu’ils
résistent au gel.
 Si votre pelle a été en contact avec du sel, rincez-la à l’eau claire et
séchez-la avant stockage.
 Inspectez votre pelle avant et après chaque utilisation et mettez-la au
rebut si celle-ci est endommagée.
LIMITES DE GARANTIE
Nous garantissons pour une durée de un an à partir de la date d’achat et
seulement à l’Acheteur d’origine (Acheteur) que nos produits (Produits)
sont exempts de défauts de matériau et de fabrication. Pour les lampes
frontales, notre garantie est de trois ans. Dans le cas où l’Acheteur
découvrirait un vice caché, l’Acheteur devra renvoyer le Produit à
l’adresse d’achat. Si cela n’est pas possible, renvoyez-nous le Produit
à l’adresse indiquée. Ce Produit sera réparé ou échangé gratuitement.
L’étendue de notre responsabilité se limite à la présente Garantie et prend
fin au terme de la période de garantie applicable. Nous nous réservons le
droit d’exiger une preuve d’achat pour toutes les demandes d’application
de la Garantie.
Exclusions de garantie :
Sont exclus de cette Garantie l’usure normale du Produit (rayure et
abrasion des carres, usure des semelles, etc.), les modifications ou

GEBRAUCHSANLEITUNG
SCHNEESCHAUFELN
Die Produktreihe der Schneeschaufeln von Black Diamond wurde für
schnelle Einsatzbereitschaft entworfen. Es gibt kaum eine andere
Schneeschaufel auf dem Markt, die im Notfall so schnell einsatzbereit
ist wie unsere innovativen und zum Patent angemeldeten Schaufeln
der Deploy Serie. Die Transfer Serie wurde für den intensiven
Gebrauch entworfen. Sie besitzt die Schaftverlängerung mit der
höchsten Steifigkeit in unserer Produktreihe. Beide Serien besitzen
ein trapezförmiges Design, damit Sie niemals wertvolle Sekunden bei
der Suche nach Verriegelungsstiften vergeuden. Die Schaufelblätter
dieser Serien wurden mit steilen Seitenwänden versehen, um eine
maximale Menge an Schnee aufnehmen zu können. Das ansonsten
flach konstruierte Blatt ermöglicht das Ausstechen von glatten
Schneegrubenwänden. Unsere einmaligen Griffe in T- und D-Form
bieten Kontrolle und Komfort, ganz gleich ob mit Fäustlingen,
Fingerhandschuhen oder blossen Händen.
DEPLOY  UND DEPLOY 
Um die Schaufel zu aktivieren, drücken Sie den Federstift (A, Abbildung
1) und ziehen den integrierten Schaft (B, Abbildung 1) heraus. Durch
diese Bauweise können Sie im Notfall schnell reagieren.
Um die Schaufel wieder zusammenzuschieben, drücken Sie den
Federstift (A, Abbildung 2) und schieben den integrierten Schaft (B,
Abbildung 2) zurück in das Schaufelblatt.

Befestigen Sie den Schaft am
Schaufelblatt, indem Sie die
Federstifte drücken (A, Abbildung
3) und setzen Sie den Griff in das
Schaufelblatt ein (B, Abbildung 3), bis die
Federstifte einrasten. Ziehen Sie den Griff
weiter hinaus, um tiefer graben zu können.
Um den Schaft vom Schaufelblatt zu trennen,
drücken Sie den Federstift und ziehen den
Schaft heraus.
EVAC SHOVEL
Drücken Sie den Federstift, während Sie
den Schaft in das Schaufelblatt einsetzen
(Abbildung 4). Schieben Sie den Schaft
hinein, bis der Federstift vollständig am
Schaufelblatt einrastet. Für den Umbau als
Hacke drehen Sie den Schaft um 180 Grad,
bevor Sie ihn in das Schaufelblatt einsetzen
(Abbildung 5).
Um die Schaufel vollständig auseinander zu
ziehen, nehmen Sie das Schaufelblatt in eine
Hand und drücken Sie den oberen Federstift
mit der anderen Hand. Ziehen Sie am blauen
oberen Schaft, bis der obere Federstift bei
voller Länge einrastet (Abbildung 6).
Um den Schaft vom Schaufelblatt zu trennen,
drücken Sie den unteren Federstift und ziehen den Schaft nach oben vom
Schaufelblatt weg heraus. Für ein noch besseres Packmass schieben Sie

den Schaft vollständig zusammen, indem Sie
den oberen Federstift drücken und den oberen
Schaft zur Krümmung im unteren Schaft hin
schieben.
REINIGUNG UND PFLEGE
 Achten Sie bei hartem Schnee oder Eis
darauf, das Schaufelblatt nicht zu verbiegen.
 Hebeln Sie niemals ein Schaufelblatt mit
vollem und verdichtetem Schnee, da Sie hierbei das Schaufelblatt
und/oder den Schaft beschädigen können.
 Verwenden Sie die Schaufel niemals als Hammer.
 Wenn das zusammen- und auseinanderschieben schwergängig wird,
wiederholen Sie den Vorgang mehrere Male und säubern Sie dabei
Schaft, Federstifte und Hosel, um das Problem zu beheben.
 Sprühen Sie die Federstifte regelmässig mit Silikon ein, um ein
Festfrieren zu verhindern.
 Wenn Ihre Schaufel mit Salz in Berührung gekommen ist, waschen
Sie sie mit frischem Wasser und lassen Sie sie vor der Aufbewahrung
trocknen.
 Überprüfen Sie Ihre Schaufel vor und nach jedem Einsatz und sondern
Sie sie aus, wenn sie beschädigt wurde.
BEGRENZTE GEWÄHRLEISTUNG
Wir gewährleisten dem ursprünglichen Käufer, der das Produkt aus
dem Einzelhandel erworben hat (Käufer) für ein Jahr ab Kaufdatum,
dass unsere Produkte (Produkte) frei von Defekten an Material und
Ausführungsqualität sind. Die Garantie für unsere Stirnlampen beträgt
drei Jahre ab Kaufdatum. Entdeckt der Käufer einen Defekt, sollte der
Käufer das Produkt unverzüglich an das Geschäft, in dem es erworben
wurde, zurückgeben und keinesfalls weiterverwenden. Sollte dies
nicht möglich sein, sollte der Käufer das Produkt unverzüglich an die
angegebene Adresse schicken. Das Produkt wird nach unserem Ermessen
entweder repariert oder ersetzt. Dies ist der gemäss dieser Garantie
gültige Haftungsumfang. Nach Ablauf der gültigen Garantiefrist wird
jegliche Haftung ausgeschlossen. Wir behalten uns das Recht vor, für alle

AVVERTENZE
INSTRUZIONI PER L’USO
PALE DA NEVE
La linea di pale da neve Black Diamond è stata progettata per la massima
velocità e facilità d’uso. Nessun’altra pala da neve sul mercato ti permette
di reagire in caso di emergenza cosi velocemente come la nostra innovativa
serie in attesa di brevetto Deploy. Progettata per scavi importanti, la
serie Transfer garantisce la massima estensione rigida possibile di tutta
la nostra linea di pale. Entrambe le serie sono caratterizzate da un design
trapezoidale in modo tale da evitare sprechi di tempo per cercare i fori
delle spine elastiche da chiudere. Inoltre le due serie sono dotate di benne
verticali, ripide per un elevato carico di neve e di un design flat sul fondo
ideale per uno scavo piu’ piatto e verticale delle pareti di un buco in caso
di analisi stratigrafica del manto nevoso. La nostra impugnatura “T &
D” garantisce il giusto comfort e controllo della pala, sia che si utilizzino
moffole o guanti o siate a mani nude.
DEPLOY  E DEPLOY 
Per utilizzarle, premere la spina elastica (A, Figura 1) e allungare la sezione
integrata (B, Figura 1) per una risposta immediata in caso di emergenza.

Per richiuderla, premere la spina (A, Figura 2) e spingere il manico (B,
Figura 2) di nuovo nella benna.

Agganciare il manico alla benna
premendo le spine (A, Figura
3) e inserire poi la sezione
dell’impugnatura (B, Figura 3) fino a che le
spine elastiche non scattano. In caso di scavi
profondi, allungare la parte dell’impugnatura
fino alla lunghezza desiderata.
Per rimuovere il manico dalla benna, premere
la spina e tirare fuori la sezione.
PALA EVAC
Premere la spina elastica mentre si inserisce
il manico nella benna (Figura 4). Inserire
il manico fino a che la spina elastica scatti
completamente e blocchi la sezione nella
benna. Per assemblarla in modalita’ Hoe,
ruotare il manico di 180° gradi prima di
inserirlo nella benna (Figura 5).
Per allungare completamente la pala, afferrare
la benna con una mano premendo la spina
piu’ alta con l’altra mano. Far scorrere la
sezione blu superiore fino a che la spina piu’
alta scatti e si blocchi alla massima lunghezza
possibile (Figura 6).
Per togliere il manico dalla benna, premere
la spina piu’ bassa e tirare verso l’alto in
direzione contraria rispetto alla benna. Per
una maggiore comprimibilita’, compattate
l’insieme del manico premendo la spina piu’
alta mentre fate scorrere la sezione superiore
verso la benna per infilarla nella sezione
inferiore.

CURA E MANUTENZIONE
 Quando spaccate neve dura o ghiaccio dosate la forza; la benna
potrebbe piegarsi.
 Non fare mai leva se la benna della pala è carica di neve pesante in
quanto la benna o il manico potrebbero danneggiarsi.
 Non utilizzare mai la pala come se fosse un martello.
 Se lo scorrimento del tubo diventa difficoltoso, ruotare la pala piu’
volte, pulire il manico, le spine elastiche e l’interno del tubo per
tornare ad avere uno scorrimento lineare.
 Spruzzare periodicamente le spine elastiche con del silicone per
evitarne il congelamento durante l’uso.
 Se la pala entra in contatto con del sale, sciacquarla con acqua fresca e
asciugarla prima di riporla.
 Controllare la propria pala prima e dopo ogni utilizzo e cessarne
l’utilizzo se è stata danneggiata.
GARANZIA LIMITATA
Garantiamo per un anno dalla data di acquisto e solo nei confronti di
un originale acquirente , che i nostri prodotti sono esenti da difetti nel
materiale e nella lavorazione. Per le frontali la nostra garanzia è di 3
anni. Se l’acquirente scopre un difetto, deve spedire il prodotto al luogo
d’acquisto. Nel caso ciò non sia possibile, rispedisci a noi il prodotto
all’indirizzo fornito. Il prodotto sarà riparato e sostituito a nostra
discrezione. Questa è l’estensione della nostra responsabilità nell’ambito
di questo tipo di garanzia, e dopo il termine del periodo di applicazione
della garanzia, questa responsabilità si esaurisce. Ci riserviamo il diritto
di richiedere prove dellìacquisto per tutte le richieste di garanzia.

PALAS DE NIEVE
Las palas de nieve de Black Diamond están diseñadas para que se
armen rápidamente. Ninguna otra pala de nieve del mercado te permite
reaccionar en caso de emergencia de manera tan veloz como las de nuestra
innovadora serie de palas Deploy, en curso de patente. Diseñada para
excavar grandes volúmenes de nieve, nuestras palas de la serie Transfer
ofrecen la máxima extensión rígida del mango. Ambas series disponen
de diseños trapezoidales, para que nunca se pierdan preciosos segundos
buscando los botones de los pasadores de bloqueo. Las hojas de ambas
series de palas tienen laterales para transportar en cada palada la máxima
cantidad de nieve, y su corte es recto para cavar pozos de nieve de paredes
lisas. Nuestra exclusiva asa “T&D” ofrece control y comodidad, ya sea con
manoplas, guantes o sin ellos.
DEPLOY  Y DEPLOY 
Para armar la pala en una actuación rápida de emergencia, pulsa el botón
del pasador de resorte (A, ilustración 1) y extiende el mango integrado (B,
ilustración 1).

Para plegar la pala, pulsa el botón del pasador de resorte (A, ilustración
2) y empuja el mango (B, ilustración 2) para volver a alojarlo en la hoja
de la pala.
TRANSFER , TRANSFER  Y LYNX
(LYNX DISPONIBLE ÚNICAMENTE EN
EUROPA)
Acopla el mango a la pala pulsando los
pasadores de resorte (A, ilustración 3)
e insertando el mango en la hoja (B,
ilustración 3) hasta que el botón del pasador
encaje en su alojamiento. Extiende el mango
en función de tus necesidades para cavar más
profundo.
Para sacar el mango de la hoja, pulsa el botón
del pasador y tira para extraer el mango.
PALA EVAC
Pulsa el pasador de resorte al tiempo que
insertas el mango en la hoja (ilustración 4).
Continúa insertando el mango hasta que el
botón del pasador se encastre por completo
en la hoja. Para usar la pala en modo azada,
gira el mango 180 grados antes de insertarlo
en la hoja (ilustración 5).
Para extender por completo la pala, agarra la
hoja con una mano al tiempo que pulsas el
botón del pasador superior con la otra mano.
Desliza el tramo superior del mango, de
color azul, hasta que el pasador superior se
encastre a la longitud máxima (ilustración 6).
Para quitar el mango de la hoja, pulsa el
botón del pasador inferior y tira hacia arriba
del mango en dirección opuesta a la pala.
Para que la pala ocupe menos plegada, acorta
al máximo el mango pulsando el pasador
superior al tiempo que deslizas el tramo
superior del mango hacia la curva que forma el
tramo inferior del mismo.

CUIDADOS Y MANTENIMIENTO
 Cuando cortes nieve dura o hielo, no emplees tanta fuerza como para
doblar la hoja.
 Nunca extraigas una hoja llena de nieve pesada haciendo palanca,
pues podrías dañar la hoja y/o el mango.
 Nunca uses tu pala como una maza.
 Si el mango se atasca al deslizarse, alárgalo y acórtalo varias veces
seguidas. Limpia el mango, los pasadores y el cuello donde se inserta
el mango en la hoja para que vuelva a deslizar bien.
 Rocía de tanto en tanto con silicona los botones de los pasadores,
para prevenir que se hielen.
 Si tu pala ha estado expuesta a sal, aclárala con agua dulce y sécala
antes de guardarla.
 Antes y después de cada uso inspecciona tu pala, y retírala si ha
sufrido daños.
GARANTÍA LIMITADA
Garantizamos por un año desde la fecha de compra y sólo al comprador
original (Comprador) que nuestros productos (Productos) están libres de
defectos tanto de material como de montaje. Para las linternas frontales
nuestra garantía es de tres años. Si el Comprador descubre un defecto
cubierto por la garantía, el Comprador debe devolver el producto al lugar
donde lo compró. Si eso no fuera posible, que nos devuelva el Producto
a nosotros a la dirección indicada. El Producto será reparado o sustituido
a nuestro criterio. Este es el alcance de nuestra responsabilidad bajo
esta garantía y, cuando expire el periodo de garantía aplicable, se
extinguirá dicha responsabilidad. Nos reservamos el derecho de requerir
justificante de compra para cualquier reclamación relativa a la garantía.
Exclusiones de la garantía:
Nuestra Garantía no cubre el desgaste normal de los Productos (como
cortes y abrasiones con los cantos de los esquís, desgaste de suelas,
etc.), así como tampoco modificaciones o alteraciones no autorizadas,
uso inadecuado, mantenimiento inadecuado, accidentes, abusos,
negligencias, daños o que el Producto se use para un propósito para el
que no fue diseñado. Esta Garantía te otorga derechos legales específicos
y puedes tener también otros derechos que varían según el estado.

Salvo en los casos expresamente mencionados en esta Garantía, no
seremos responsables por daños directos, indirectos, accidentales o de
otro tipo que resulten del uso del Producto. Esta Garantía reemplaza
a todas las demás garantías, expresas o implícitas, incluidas, pero no
limitadas a, garantías implícitas de cualidad de ser comercializado o
ser apto para una finalidad determinada (algunos estados no permiten
la exclusión o limitación de daños o accidentales o sobrevenidos, o
permiten limitaciones sobre la duración de una garantía implícita,
de manera que es posible que las exclusiones arriba indicadas no se
apliquen en tu caso).
