perfect decision in purchasing this tuner.
With the IVTV-05, digital television makes its arrival in automobiles. The excellent
picture quality and the interference-free reception, even while driving, are only
two of the benefits of the IVTV-05. In addition, you can enjoy all the benefits of
digital television, such as the electronic program guide, with the IVTV-05. In the
event that no DVB-T is available in a region, you can connect an analogue TV
tuner to the inputs of the IVTV-05.
These instructions provide step-by-step guidance through the functions of the
IVTV-05 and answer the most frequently asked questions. More information
about working with these instructions can be found in the section "About these
instructions."

These instructions are intended to familiarise you with the operation and func-
tions of your DVB-T receiver IVTV-05 and allow you to operate the device safely
and successfully. Please read these instructions carefully before the initial startup
and store them in a safe place inside the vehicle.
To help you in quickly locating information, the following symbols are used in
these instructions to identify individual steps:

Safety notes
Please observe the following safety
notes during the installation and con-
nection.
Disconnect the negative pole of
the battery.
Observe the safety notes of the
vehicle manufacturer.
Before drilling the holes for mount-
ing and cables, ensure that no hid-
den cables, tank or fuel lines are
damaged!
IVTV-05 Tuner Connection
First, the tuner must be installed at a
suitable location. Ensure that the de-
vice is safely fastened and not exposed
to any moisture or dirt. The connecting
cables must be routed in such a way
that passengers do not come into con-
tact with them and that they cannot
break or tear.
Please note that the tuner must not
be directly exposed to heat sources
(e.g. heating system, solar radiation)
to avoid malfunction due to overtem-
perature.
Perform all audio, video and power
connections of the tuner (see the
connection diagram in the following
illustration) required for your system
installation. When you place the infra-
red sensor, ensure that no obstacles
are located between sensor and stor-
age location of the remote control
that could interfere with the signal
transmission.
Safety circuit
The tuner module has been fitted with
a safety circuit to ensure safe TV oper-
ation. The supplied accessory compo-
nents include a special safety cable. If
the safety system is installed correctly,
you can only activate TV operating
mode if the vehicle handbrake is on.
The schematic diagrams provide infor-
mation on how to install the system.
If you require additional assistance,
please contact your dealer.

connecting options of the tuner. Your

Notes about the reception
The reception behaviour of the IVTV-05 can
be optimised by using 2 active antennas.
The antennas to be used must be suitable
for UHF and VHF and the passive gain
must be ≥ 5 dB. In addition, it must be
ensured that the corresponding antenna
amplifier is low-noise.

Installation of Diversity Antenna System
The diversity antenna system integrated in the tuner was
developed specifically for mobile applications and ensures
perfect signal reception.
Remove the protective cover from the antenna base and
install the base on the desired dustfree and degreased ad-
hesive position.
To achieve a perfect reception quality, orient the antenna so
that one rod is aligned horizontally and one rod is aligned
vertically.
Remove the protective covers from the rods and install the
rods on the desired dustfree and degreased adhesive posi-
tions.

The adhesive strips for the antenna reach their perfect ad-
hesion after approx. 24 hours. After detaching the adhesive
strips from the glass, they cannot be used again.

First use
Switching on/off
The IVTV-05 is connected to the vehicle's battery and the vehicle ignition (see
the installation instructions).
1. To turn the IVTV-05 on or off, press the Power On/Off button.
EThe IVTV-05 is switched on or off.
Default Settings
After installing the IVTV-05 and switching it on for the first time, additional menus
for selecting the language, the TV format and starting the station seek tuning
are displayed.
1. Press the Oor Pbutton repeatedly until the desired language is displayed and press
the OK button.
EThe TV Format menu is displayed.
2. Select the TV format corresponding to the attached monitor (4:3 or 16:9). For this pur-
pose, press the Oor Pbutton repeatedly until the desired TV format is displayed.
EThe configurations are adopted and the automatic station seek tuning is started. After
the station seek tuning finishes, the first station of the list is displayed. You can repeat
the station seek tuning at any time; for this purpose, please read the section "Tuning
into a station".

Tuning into a station
The IVTV-05 provides two options for setting the stations: The automatic station
seek tuning and the manual setting. In addition to that, the IVTV-05 provides the
opportunity of conveniently searching for new stations only without overwriting
the existing station list.
Automatic station seek tuning
With automatic station seek tuning, all previously stored stations are deleted and
the memory locations are reassigned.
1. Press the Menu button on the remote control.
EThe menu of the IVTV-05 is displayed.
2. Move the selection mark with the Mor Nbutton to the Setup menu item and press the
OK button.
EThe Setup menu is displayed, the Channels installation entry is selected.
3. Press the OK button.
EThe Station Channels installation menu is displayed. Press the OK button.
4. Press the Oor Pbutton repeatedly until Full is displayed.
5. Press the OK button.
EA warning note is displayed.
6. If you want to start the scanning, press the OK button; if you do not want to start
the scanning, press the Exit button.
EIf you pressed OK, the station seek tuning starts. After the scanning is complete,
the number of new stations is displayed.
7. Press the OK button.
EThe menu is displayed again.
8. Press the Menu button to return to the menu. Press the button again to exit
the menu.

Tuning into a station
Manual setting of stations
If you know the frequency of the stations in your environment, you can also set
the stations manually.
1. Press the Menu button on the remote control.
EThe menu of the IVTV-05 is displayed.
2. Move the selection mark with the Mor Nbutton to the Setup menu item and press
the OK button.
EThe Setup menu is displayed, the Channels installation entry is selected.
3. Press the OK button.
EThe Station Channels installation menu is displayed.
4. Press the Oor Pbutton repeatedly until Manual is displayed.
5. Move the selection mark with the Mor N button to the Channel number entry.
6. Use the keys of the numeric keypad to enter the channel number of the desired
station.
7. Press the OK button.
EIf a station can be received at the channel number, the signal strength (level) and
the signal quality are displayed on the lower lines.
8. Press the OK button.
EThe station is stored.
9. Press the Menu button to return to the menu. Press the button again to exit
the menu.

Tuning into a station
Refreshing the station list
You can refresh the current station list by adding newly broadcasting stations
since the time you created your station list.
1. Press the Menu button on the remote control.
EThe menu of the IVTV-05 is displayed.
2. Move the selection mark with the Mor Nbutton to the Setup menu item and press
the OK button.
EThe Station Channels installation entry is selected.
3. Press the OK button.
EThe Station Channels installation menu is displayed.
4. Press the Oor Pbutton repeatedly until Update is displayed.
5. Press the OK button.
EIf you pressed OK, the scanning for new stations starts. After the scanning is complete,
the number of new stations is displayed.
6. Press the OK button.
EThe menu is displayed again.
7. Press the Menu button to return to the menu. Press the button again to exit the
menu.

Selecting a station
The IVTV-05 offers different options for selecting stations: Directly from the sta-
tion list that is being created during the scanning or from a list of favourites in
which you can store your top ten stations. For further details about the favourites
list, please read the chapter "Favourites list".
Selecting a Station from the Station List
From the station list, you can select stations in different ways: By entering the
station number using the numeric buttons, with the CH +/- buttons and from the
station list, which you can display on the connected monitor.
Displaying the station list
You can display the station list on the connected monitor and conveniently select
the desired station.
1. Press the List button.
EThe station list is displayed.
2. Move the selection mark with the Mor Nbutton to the desired station and press
the OK button.
EThe station is displayed, the station list is shown in the foreground.
3. Press the Exit button to exit the station list
or
3. use the Mor N button to select another station and press the OK button.
Selecting stations using the numeric buttons
1. Enter the number of the station in the station list using the keys of the numeric
keypad.
EThe station is displayed.

Selecting a station
Selecting stations using the channel buttons
1. Press the CH + button to select the next station in the list.
EThe station is displayed
or
2. press the CH - button to select the previous station in the list.
EThe station is displayed.
Reverting to the Previous station
After changing the station, you can conveniently switch back to the previously
watched station.
1. Press the SWAP button to return to the previous station.
Selecting a Station from the Favourites List
You can create 4 favourites lists each for the TV and radio mode (see "Favourites")
and sort the stations in your favourites list according to your needs.
Selecting a favourites list
1. Press the PRF + or PRF - button to select among the favourites lists you created.
Selecting a Station from the Favourites List
You can select stations from the favourites list using the buttons M/ NCH- /CH+,
the buttons of the numeric keypad and select them directly from the favourites
list by using the List button.
You can store your preferred stations in a favourites list and sort according to your
needs. You can create four favourites list each for TV mode and radio mode.

Creating a Favourites List
1. Press the Menu button on the remote control.
EThe menu is displayed. The selection mark is positioned on the Favourites lists en-
try.
2. Press the OK button.
EThe Favourites list menu is displayed, the Create a favourite list entry is selected.
3. Press the OK button.
EThe Create a favourite list menu is displayed.
4. Press the OK button.
EThe top row displays the number of the favourites list.
5. Press the Oor P button repeatedly until the desired favourites list is displayed.
If you have already saved four favourites list, select the list to be overwritten.
6. Press the Nbutton.
EThe selection mark moves to the TV/Radio entry.
7. Press the Mor N button to select from a favourites list for TV stations or a favourites
list for radio stations.
8. Press the OK button.
EThe favourites list is being created, all stations of the current station list are copied to
the favourites list and are not activated. You can immediately edit the favourites list.
For further information, please read the section entitled "Editing a favourites list".
9. Press the Menu button to display the menu again. Press the button again to exit the
menu.

Editing a Favourites List
You can edit the favourites list at any time, such as activating stations in the list,
deselecting them from the list and changing the position of the stations in the
list. If you created a new favourites list, the list is displayed after it is created. In
this case, continue reading with item 6.
1. Press the Menu button on the remote control.
EThe menu is displayed. The selection mark is positioned on the Favourites lists en-
try.
2. Press the OK button.
EThe Favourites lists menu is displayed, the Create a favourite list entry is selected.
3. Press the Nbutton repeatedly until Modify a favourite list is selected.
4. Press the OK button.
EThe previously selected favourites list is displayed. The top row displays the number
of the favourites list.
5. Press the PRF + or PRF - button to display the favourites list you want to edit.

6. Press the Mor N button repeatedly until the station to be activated in the favourites
list is selected.
7. Press the green button on the remote control.
EThe station is identified by a white dot and is activated in the favourites list.

Deselecting a Station from the Favourites List
8. Press the Mor N button repeatedly until the station to be deselected from the fa-
vourites list is selected.
9. Press the green button on the remote control.
EThe station is identified by a black dot and is deselected in the favourites list.
Selecting/deselecting all stations
You can select or deselect all stations in the favourites list.
1. Press the blue button on the remote control.
EA selection is displayed.

Sorting the favourites list
1. Press the Mor N button repeatedly until the station to be moved in the favourites list
is selected.
2. Press the yellow button on the remote control.

5. Press the Mor N button repeatedly until the selection mark is located at the position
to which you want to move the station.
6. Press the OK button.

Finishing the edit of the favourites list
If you finished editing the favourites list
1. Press the Exit button.

2. If you want to save the changes, select Yes and press the OK button

2. if you do not want to save the changes, select No and press the OK button.
3. Press the Menu button to display the menu again. Press this button again to exit
the menu.

try.
2. Press the OK button.
EThe Favourites lists menu is displayed, the Favourites lists entry is selected.
3. Press the Nbutton repeatedly until Delete a favourite list is selected.
4. Press the OK button.
EThe available favourites lists are displayed.
5. Press the Mor N button repeatedly until the selection mark is located on the favourites
list to be deleted.
