OTHER THAN QUALIFIED PERSONNEL

AND/OR INJURY TO THE OPERATOR.
Quali ied installation personnel are individuals, a
irm, a corporation, or a company which either in
person, or through a representative are engaged in
and responsible or:
DThe installation or replacement o gas piping. The
connection, installation, repair, or servicing o
equipment. Quali ied installation personnel must
be experienced in such work, amiliar with all preĆ
cautions required, and have complied with all reĆ
quirements o state or local authorities having juĆ
risdiction. Installation must con orm with local
codes, or in the absence o local codes, with the
National Fuel Gas Code, NFPA54/ANSI
223.1-Latest Edition, the Natural Gas InstallaĆ
tion Code CAN/CGAĆB149.1 or the Propane InstalĆ
lation Code, CAN/CGAĆB149.2 as applicable.
DThe installation o electrical wiring rom the elecĆ
tric meter, main control box, or service outlet, to
the appliance. Quali ied installation personnel
must be experienced in such work, amiliar with all
precautions required, and have complied with all
requirements o state or local authorities having
jurisdiction. Re erence: National Electrical Code,
ANSI/NFPA 70-Latest Edition and/or Canadian
Electrical Code CSA C22.1 as applicable.
DThe connector must comply with the Standard for
Connectors for Movable Gas Appliances, ANSI
21.69 or Connectors For Moveable Gas ApĆ
pliances CAN/CGAĆ6.16 and a quick disconnect
device that complies with the Standard for QuickĆ
Disconnect Devices for Use With Gas Fuel, ANSI
21.41 or Quick Disconnect For Use With Gas Fuel
CAN 1Ć6.9. Adequate means must be provided to
limit the movement o the appliance without deĆ
pending on the connection and the quick disconĆ
nect device or its associated piping.
NOTE: A fixed restraint must be provided if casters are
used in conjunction with a flexible connector
for movable appliances. This restraint must seĆ
cure the oven to a nonĆmovable surface to elimĆ
inate stress on the connector. If the oven is
moved, the restraint must be reconnected after
the oven is returned to it's normal position.
DELIVERY
All Blodgett Ovens are strapped on heavy wooden
skids, and surrounded by triĆwall cartons to prevent
shipping damage. Each unit has been care ully inĆ
spected and packaged when tendered to the carrier.
Upon delivery o your Blodgett oven:
DInspect the shipping container or external damĆ
age. Any evidence o damage should be noted on
the delivery receipt, which must be signed by the
driver.
DUncrate the oven and check or any concealed
damage. Carriers will accept claims or damage, i
noti ied within 15 days o delivery, and the carton
is retained or inspection.
