Introduction
The BlueSpot 86 PCE Nut Riveter Kit (M3-M8) is supplied with eighty nut rivets and five
riveting nozzle sets. The riveter is ideal for the application of steel and aluminium rivet nuts.
Supplied in a plastic carrying box.
Operation
Note – We always recommend testing this first on a test piece of material until you
become comfortable operating the nut riveter.
1. On the workpiece drill the recommended diameter hole for the threaded insert.
2. Choose the matching mandrel and nose piece from the nut riveter kit.
3. Keep the wrench around the nut riveter handles so they are held in place. Screw the
mandrel into the head (this is a left handed thread).
4. Remove the wrench.
5. Tighten the mandrel so it is tight and secure. The wrench will not allow for the mandrel
to be overtightened.
6. Hold the nut riveter handle in the closed position. Screw on the nosepiece.
7. Release the handle. With the flange end first, screw on the threaded insert.
8. Set the depth screw to the desired length.
9. Insert the threaded insert through the hole. The flange should be flush against the
workpiece.
10. Squeeze the handle of the nut riveter. The threaded insert should form a bulge against
the back of the workpiece. The depth adjustment screw can be adjusted to achieve the
bulge if needed.
11. Release the handle fully.
12. Remove the mandrel from the threaded inset by turning the mandrel adjustment
knob clockwise.
13. Secure your object by screwing a bolt to the threaded insert you have just installed.
