
3 Operating Instructions
1. Check the support for completeness and visible
damages such as signs of wear, deformation,
breakages, cracks, thread and corrosion damages
prior to each use. Check the condition and screw
connection of the ring bolt and the support. Check
the circlip for damage and the correct position. Do
no use the reception when defects are noted and
discard it immediately.
2. Carry out the necessary preparation work for the
use of the support in accordance with the
workshop manuals.
3. Fasten the support with the nuts A and B as
described in the workshop manuals.
4. Carry out further necessary preparation work in
accordance with the workshop manuals.
5. Suspend the support on the workshop crane with
the ring bolt.
WARNING
Risk through falling load!
Incorrect attachment of the support may cause the load
to fall. These actions could cause serious personal
injury or severe damage to materials.
Attach reception exactly as described in the
workshop manual.
Turn the nuts onto the shaft completely until the
stop.
6. fasten the support on the engine and gearbox
support VAS 6095/VAS 6095A or clamping block
VW313.
Ensure that the clamping block VW313 is
securely anchored.
Secure the engine and gearbox support
VAS 6095/VAS 6095A against rolling away.
Insert the retaining tube completely into the
support of the engine and gearbox support.
Insert the positioning bolts.
When using the clamping block VW313, secure
the gearbox support against twisting using the
clamping screw and a positioning pin.
WARNING
Crushing Hazard!
Risk of crushing between the load and
VAS 6095/VAS 6095A or VW313 by a moving load.
Position hands and feet in such a manner that
crushing hazards does not exist when moving the
load.
7. Carry out further work as described in the
workshop manuals.
8. Ensure that all parts of the special tool have been
removed after completing the repair work.
