2. Sicherheit

2.1 Bestimmungsgemäße
Verwendung
Die Neutralisationsanlage NEOP 70 dient zur Neutralisation von Kondenswasser
(Anhebung des ph-Wertes über 6,5) aus Gas-Brennwertkesseln mit einer Leistung
von bis zu 70 kW.
Das Installationshandbuch des verwendeten Gasbrennwertkessels ist zu beachten.
2.2 Allgemeine
Sicherheitshinweise
Achtung! Bei der Installation des Zubehörs besteht die Gefahr erheblicher Sach-
und Personenschäden. Deshalb darf das Zubehör nur durch Fachunternehmen
montiert und durch Sachkundige der Erstellerfirmen erstmalig in Betrieb genom-
men werden!
Verwendetes Zubehör muss den Technischen Regeln entsprechen und vom Her-
steller in Verbindung mit diesem Zubehör zugelassen sein.
Es dürfen nur Original-Ersatzteile verwendet werden.
Eigenmächtige Umbauten und Veränderungen am Zubehör sind nicht gestattet,
da sie Menschen gefährden und zu Schäden am Zubehör führen können. Bei Nicht-
beachtung erlischt die Zulassung des Zubehörs.

4.1 Montage
1. Granulat durch Schütteln gleichmäßig in der Neutralisationsröhre verteilen
Achtung! Werden Zu- und Ablauf vom Granulat vollständig verdeckt, besteht die
Gefahr von Verstopfungen!

lauf- und Ablaufleitung (Pos. 2 und 5, DN 40, bauseits) bis zum Anschlag in die
Anschlüsse schieben und Überwurfmuttern wieder anziehen

4. Ablaufschlauch des Gas-Brennwertkessels mit der Zulaufleitung der Neutrali-
sationsanlage ( Abb. 3 , Pos. 2) verbinden
Achtung! Die Verbindung zum Gas-Brennwertkessel muss rückstausicher ausge-
führt werden!
5. Ablaufleitung der Neutralisationsanlage ( Abb. 3 , Pos. 5) mit Gefälle zur Hau-
sentwässerung verlegen (oder mit Kondensathebeanlage verbinden)
Achtung! Zu- und Ablaufleitungen müssen mit stetigem Gefälle verlegt werden!
Ist kein freier Ablauf möglich, ist eine Kondensathebeanlage einzusetzen!
6. Sämtliche Verbindungen auf Dichtheit prüfen

5. Wartung
Die Erstfüllung des Granulats reicht für wenigstens ein Jahr. Um eine einwandfreie
Funktion zu gewährleisten, muss die Neutralisationsanlage einmal jährlich kon-
trolliert und. ggf. gewartet werden.
Neben den Informationen in dieser Montageanleitung ist das Installationshand-
buch des Gas-Brennwertkessels zu beachten.
5.1 Funktionskontrolle
1. Füllstand kontrollieren
Liegt der Füllstand unterhalb der Anzeige des Füllhöhe-Etiketts ( Abb. 1 , Pos.
10), muss Granulat nachgefüllt werden.
Hinweis: Eine Neutralisation kann nur erfolgen, wenn das Granulat durchflossen
wird. Der Granulat-Füllstand muss immer über dem Kondensatpegel liegen!
2. pH-Wert mit Indikatorstreifen messen
Bei einem pH-Wert < 6,5 muss die Neutralisationsanlage gewartet werden

1. Anschlussverschraubungen lösen und Zu- und Ablaufleitungen entfernen

5. Verklumptes Granulat auflockern
6. Neutralisationsröhre mit Wasser reinigen
Achtung! Bei der Reinigung dürfen keine scharfen Gegenständen verwendet wer-
den, da das Gehäuse sonst beschädigt werden könnte!

Hinweis: Es ist ein Freiraum von min. 3 cm oberhalb des Granulats einzuhalten.
8. Stecksiebe wieder einsetzen
9. Zu- und Ablaufleitungen wieder anschließen
10. Sämtliche Verbindungen anziehen und auf Dichtheit prüfen
11. Aufkleber "Wartung" gut sichtbar am Gas-Brennwertkessel anbringen
12. Wartung im Wartungsnachweis protokollieren (siehe Abschnitt Wartungsnach-
weis)
5.3 Entsorgung des Granulats
Das Granulat entsorgt sich selbstständig. Die im Kondensat enthaltenen Säuren
verbinden sich zu volllöslichen Salzen, die in der Natur weit verbreitet sind. Das
Granulat ist für die Trinkwasseraufbereitung zugelassen.
Granulatreste können bei thermischer Entsorgung über den Hausmüll entsorgt
werden. Ist dies nicht gewährleistet, ist die Art der Entsorgung bei der zuständigen
Behörde zu erfragen.

2. Safety
Danger! It is very important that you observe the following safety instructions.
Otherwise you are endangering yourself and others.
2.1 Intended use
The neutralisation unit NEOP 70 is used for neutralisation of condense water (rais-
ing the pH value over 6.5) from gas condensing boilers with an output of up to 70
kW
The installation manual of the gas condensing boiler used must be followed.
2.2 General safety instructions
Caution! When installing the accessories, there is a risk of significant injury and
material damage. Accessories must therefore only be installed by trained contrac-
tors and commissioned by a competent person appointed by the system installer.
Accessories used must comply with technical regulations and have been approved
by the manufacturer in connection with the accessories.
Only original spare parts may be used.
Unauthorised conversions and modifications to the accessories are not permitted,
as this can endanger persons and cause damage to the accessories. The accessory
approval will become void if these instructions are not observed.

4. Installation
4.1 Installation
1. Distribute the granulate evenly in the neutralisation pipe by shaking
Attention! If the inlet and outlet are completely covered with granulate, there is
the risk of getting plugged!

2. Floor installation: Fasten the brackets (1) at a suitable position on the floor
with anchors and screws and stick the neutralisation pipes in the brackets.

3. Loosen the union nuts (pos. 3 and 4) f the inlet and outlet connection, push the
inlet and outlet pipe (pos. 2 and 5, DN 40) fully into the terminals and then
tighten the union nuts again.
4. Stick the outlet hose of the gas condensing boiler with the feed line of the neu-
tralisation unit ( Fig. 3 , pos. 2)
Caution! The connection to the gas condensing boiler must be designed to be
backflow-proof!

5. Drain line of the neutralisations unit ( Fig. 3 , pos. 5) place with downward slope
to the house drainage (or connect with the condensate lift unit)
Caution! Inlet and outlet lines must be laid with continual downward slope! If no
free drain is possilbe, a condensate lifting unit must be used!
6. Check all connections for leaks

5. Maintenance
The first filling of the granulate lasts for at least one year. To ensure smooth func-
tion, the neutralisation unit must be inspected once per year and serviced if neces-
sary.
In addition to the information in these assembly instructions, the Installation Man-
ual of the gas condensing boiler must be observed.
5.1 Function check
1. Check level
If the level is under the display of the filling height label ( Fig. 1 , Pos. 10), granu-
late must be added.
Note: Neutralisation can only be done if the granulate is flowing. The granulate
level must always be over the condensate level!
2. Measure the pH value with indicator strips
With a pH value < 6.5, the neutralisation unit must be serviced

1. Loose the screwed connections and remove the inlet and outlet lines
2. Remove the neutralisation pipe out of the brackets

3. Remove the plug filters(1)
4. Pour out granulate completely into a suitable container (e.g., bucket)
5. Loosen clumps of granulate
6. Clean neutralisation pipes with water
Caution! Do not use sharp objects during cleaning, since this could damage the
housing!

7. Fill granulate to the filling height label (4) in the vertically positioned neutrali-
sation pipes ( Fig. 5 )
Note: A clearance of min. 3 cm must be maintained above the granulate.
8. Reinsert the plug filters
9. Reconnect the inlet and outlet lines
10. Tighten all connections and check all for leaks
11. Attach "Service" label clearly visible on the gas condensing boiler
12. Log service in the Proof of Service (see section Proof of Service)
5.3 Disposal of the granulate
The granulate disposes of itself automatically. The carbon dioxide in the conden-
sate combines with the granulate to magnesium hydrogen carbonate, the NOx
combines with the granulate to magnesium nitrate
Granulate residue can be disposed of in the normal household rubbish.
