Connecting the charger and charging the handset
1 Pl g the mains power adaptor with the red connector
into the power socket on the nderside of the charger
and connect the other end to the mains power.
2 Insert the 2 x AAA rechargeable batteries s pplied,
taking note of the polarity markings inside the battery
compartment, then slide the battery compartment sh t.
The display will show the handset n mber,

show it is registered to the base.
3 Place the handset on the charger. The red charging
light comes on. Yo sho ld let the batteries charge
contin o sly for at least 16 ho rs.

Battery perfor ance
To keep the batteries in the best
condition, leave the handset off
the base for a few ho rs at a
time. R nning the batteries right
down at least once a week will
help them last as long as possible.
Please note, that new NiMH
batteries do not reach f ll
capacity ntil they have been in
normal se for several days.
The charge capacity of
rechargeable batteries will red ce
with time as they wear o t, th s
red cing the talk/standby time.
Event ally they will need replacing.

After charging yo r handset for
the first time, s bseq ent
charging time for the batteries is
approximately 6-8 ho rs a day.
Batteries and case may become
warm d ring charging, this is
normal.
Under ideal conditions, the
handset batteries sho ld give abo t
12 ho rs talk time or 150 ho rs
standby on a single charge. (This
does not mean yo can npl g
the base or leave it for this length
of time witho t charge.)
