Use the assisted pedalling control (button 4) to choose between the 3 programmes.
The 3rd (SPORT) position offers the most powerful electrical assistance. Remember
that use of the most powerful programme discharges the battery more quickly than the
lowest (ECO) assistance programme, and does not offer optimal battery autonomy.

Battery
2.1 Precautions
Precautions to be taken with the charger:
Solely for indoor use.
Do not dispose of the charger inappropriately.
Danger of electrocution. Do not dismantle the charger.
Precautions to be taken with the battery:
Do not burn the battery
Do not expose the battery to temperatures of over 50 °C
Do not expose the battery to water. Do not submerge the battery in water.
Do not dispose of batteries and the power cells inappropriately.
Avoid complete discharge of the battery (heavy discharge), which may damage it
(the guarantee will not apply)
To extend the lifespan of the battery, it is important to recharge it for 2 hours
after each use, or at least every 3 months.

2.2 Removing the battery from the bike
Insert the key into the lock, push the lock inwards and turn the key one quarter turn to
the left, in order to unlock the battery.
Pull the battery from its housing very carefully, using the foldable handle.

2.3 Charging the battery
The electric bike is equipped with a Lithium-ion battery, which powers the motor.
Unlike other batteries, Lithium-ion batteries do not have any "memory effect" and can be
recharged even if they are not completely discharged. The battery reaches its full capacity
after being charged and discharged several times. The battery should be charged for 7
hours, the first time.
First, connect the charger to the battery. The battery connection is located on the right-
hand side of the battery.
Only then should the charger plug be inserted into an electric socket.
During charging, the charger's red LEDs light up, to indicate that the battery is being
charged.
The green LEDs light up when the battery is completely charged.
After charging, first remove the plug from the socket. The charger plug should not be
removed from the battery until after this has been done.
If the red LEDs do not light up, it is possible that the battery is too hot.
In this case leave it to cool before charging.
There is a battery charging indicator on the top of the battery. By pressing in the red
button, you can check the state of the battery. The LEDs indicate the state of the
battery:
5
LEDs
= the battery is 100% charged.
3
LEDs
= the battery is between 70 and 40% charged.
1 LED = The battery is between 40 and 0% charged.
If no LEDs are lit up, the battery is completely discharged and should be
recharged.

2.4 Battery information
•
Never short-circuit the battery by placing the positive and negative terminals in
contact with each other.
•
The battery is waterproof and can therefore withstand rain. You can therefore use your
bike in rainy weather without any problems. However, try not to expose the
battery to
excessive quantities of water
.
•
Low environmental impact, since electricity is a form of clean energy.
However, at the end of its lifespan, your battery should be handed over for
recycling (like all batteries).
•
The performance of your
battery is reduced in low temperatures
*.
•
In ideal conditions, the battery unit can be completely recharged around
1,000
times. In the course of time and use, the battery's performance will
progressively decrease and it will eventually be necessary to replace it.
•
Do not expose
the battery to high temperatures
(> 50
°C),
such as
heating, direct
sunlight or fire
.
•
Do not dismantle the battery. Consult your dealer in case of problems.
•
For prolonged storage, place the battery in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight
.
•
Only use the supplied charger
.
*All of the specifications mentioned are valid for a temperature of 25
°C. As a
general
rule, the capacity of the battery decreases by 1
% for each decrease in
temperature of
1
°C
.

3
Assisted pedalling
3.1
What is assisted pedalling
?
This bike is equipped with
electrical pedalling assistance
.
The motor supplements
your own effort. The operation of
the assisted pedalling depends upon the speed of
rotation of the pedals
. The faster you pedal, the greater the pedalling assistance will be, up to the limit of
25km/hr
If you do not pedal, the motor remains idle. When it starts up, the assistance
provided by the motor increases, allowing smooth, easy starts.
3.2
Everything else that you should know about assisted
pedalling
•
When the
electrical assistance
is activated, the
way in which the bicycle moves off
is
different from
that of a normal
bike
.
Moving off from a stationary position is easier.
You should not be surprised by this and should get used to it before cycling in heavy
traffic. We advise you to use ass
istance programme
1 for moving off from a
stationary position.
•
When the electrical assistance is deactivated, the bike gives very little extra resistance.
You can therefore always use i
t like an ordinary bike, even without the battery.
•
Assisted pedalling is legally limited to the speed of 25 km/hr. This means that
when speeds of 23km/hr and above are reached, the
pedalling assistance is
progressively reduced, disappearing entirely at 25km/hr
.
•
The bike's range of action depends upon a number of circumstances. The
values shown are measured under average conditions. The principal factors
are: The cyclist's
weight
,
speed of movement,
slopes on the
ro
u
te
,
tyre
pressure, oncoming winds, the number of gear changes and the amount of
braking (in towns) and the exterior temperature. Very low temperatures
very
considerably reduce the range of action. Take this into account.
.

4 Saddle adjustment
4.1
Desired seating height
Seating height means the distance between the seating part of the saddle and the pedal
in its lowest position. The
seating height is properly adjusted when, with your foot resting
on the pedal (in low position), your knee is slightly bent
(Fig. 1). Above all, do not hesitate to
ask for guidance from your cycle sales advisor!
.
4.2
Adjusting the saddle
Adjust the saddle height by loosening the hexagonal-socket-head screw on the
saddle collar clamp, using an Allen key
(Fig
.2).
Fi

2
The tilt of the saddle can also be adjusted both forwards and backwards
(Fig.3). For
this operation, use an
open end spanner to loosen the nut on the saddle rail clamp
(Fig.4). Once
you have obtained the correct position, do not forget to properly re-tighten
this nut
.

5
Lights
5.1
Switching the lights on and off
The bike is equipped with lights, which are directly connected to the battery
.
To switch them on, simply press the light control on the handlebar console. The
lights are switched off in the same manner.

6
Brakes
6.1
Brake adjustment information
The brakes should be adjusted so that, when the brake levers are pulled to their
halfway travel position
(Fig.1), the whole of the brake pad
braking surfaces
rest against
the wheel rim (Fig.2).
Fig
.1
Fig
.2
6.2
Adjusting the brakes
If you are unhappy with your brakes.
You can adjust your brakes using the cable tension adjustment scr
ew. This is located
next to the brake lever (Fig.3). Tightening the cable screw inwards slightly slackens the
cable, thereby widening the distance between the brake pads. Untightening the screw
outwards tautens the cable, thereby bringing the brake pads closer to the wheel rim
.
6.3
Replacing the brake pads
The brake pads
should be replaced as soon as the grooves are no longer visible
(Fig.4)
Fi
g
.
3 Fig.4

In order to replace the
brake pads, first turn the cable adjustment screw inwards, to
loosen the brake cable
. Then,
close the brake levers using your thumb and index finger
and unfasten the
brake cable
(Fig.5).
There is enough space to allow you to loosen the
brake pad
fixing bolts
(Fig.6).
It is absolutely essential to remember to correct the adjustment of the brakes again, after
replacing the
pads
.
Do not hesitate to ask your salesperson to carry out this operation for perfect results and added
safety.

7
Tyres
7.1 Tyre pressure
Tyre pressure affects the power autonomy
and
comfort of your
bike
.
We advise you to
always properly inflate your tyres. You are also adivsed to regularly check the
pressure of the tyres
.
Recommended pressure
: 4.5 Bars, front and back
8
Gears
8.1
Changing gear
The B'EBIKE is equipped with 6-gear
Shimano Tourney transmission. Control the gears by
turning the interior of the right-hand handle while the bike is in motion
. It is important to
always change gear whilst pedalling, in order to avoid damage to your gears and chain leaps,
which can lead to falls. If you notice a problem in changing gears do not hesitate to ask your
shop to carry out the necessary adjustments

9
Maintenance
9.1
Servicing
We advise you to have your bike checked out regularly by your distributor. It is wise to have the
first service after the first 3 months and the second after 1 year, with subsequent yearly
services. Be aware that regular servicing can prevent needless damage and therefore also avoid
a lot of needless expense.
Of course, you should also contribute to maintaining your bike in excellent condition
for as long as possible. The following paragraphs contain a number of tips for this
purpose
.
9.
2
General maintenance
1 Check the p
ressure and profile of the tyres
2
Check for brake
wear, make precise adjustments from time to time
3
Clean the pedal sensor
with a sponge and lukewarm water if it becomes very dirty
4
Lubricate the chain
5
If you notice a problem with the spokes on one of your wheels, have it repaired
immediately by your stockist.
9.3
Cleaning
Clean your
bike by removing dirt with a brush and then washing with hot water. You bike
will then be clean again. Regular cleaning of the bike lengthens its lifespan. Be careful not
to use too much water near the
battery. Also, make sure that dirt does not get between the
magnetised washer and the sensor (near the
chain transmission axle on the right-hand side of
the bike)
.
Never use a high-pressure cleaner!
After cleaning, dry your bike using a soft cloth.
9.4
Lubrication
In addition to regular cleaning, it is wise to lubricate the gearing at the same time, in order to
avoid any risk of corrosion and ensure greater comfort in changing gear. We advise
you to
lubricate your chain with the vaseline oil available from your stockist.
