Safety regulations
General
The machine are determined for drilling and milling (routing) printed circuit board and for milling
(routing) and engraving aluminium plate . A pecial application i do ing of pa te or liquid onto
panel- hape work piece and the la er expo ure of photo re i t and older ma k. Any other type
of application i permi ive only with our con ent.
The machine are not determined to be connected or combined with other machine . However,
they need to be connected to and be controlled by a compatible computer. The driver oftware i
upplied with the machine and i relevant for ecurity.
The machine may only be operated by qualified operator . Children and animal mu t be kept
off!
The machine i manufactured u ing te ted component according to tandard guide line for elec-
trical afety. Thi doe not relieve the u er hi duty of care when dealing with electrically powered
device .
Before performing any maintenance witch off the machine and unplug it.
Emergency Stop Facilities
The ESCape button on the computer top the pindle and the tepper motor . The ame
function i performed by red X-icon on the computer creen. The main witch on the con-
trol unit or power upply unit cut the machine from main upply, but i not uitable for
emergency top: It doe not allow programmed pindle lift and quick top.
If the computer ha topped re ponding and thu the EMERGENCY STOP button doe not work,
you can top the machine u ing the main witch of the control unit. In thi ca e wait until the
pindle ha come to a tand till.
Protection against contact with moving parts
The machine may only be operated in an enclo ed protection cover. With door witche , o that
maintenance work can only be done with the machine at tand till.
Location
Put the machine onto a table, even table and adju t the machine' 4 feet by turning them. A
table de k and a proper etting are important to prevent vibration etc. Make ure you have
enough room around the machine for tool change, mounting PCB and maintenance work.
The machine may only be operated under normal temperature and humidity condition , e pecially
only in ab ence of corro ive or inflammable vapour . At temperature lower than 10 °C or higher
than 30 °C, there may occur the following problem : The pindle might not tart running at low
temperature . The tepping motor might run hot or tep lo e may occur at more than 30 °C in
the urrounding air.
In order to en ure a ufficient cooling, the equipment feet of the controller may not be removed,
otherwi e not enough air will pa through the controller – Overheating and de truction of the end
pha e may be the re ult.
The controller i de igned to run at normal ambient temperature (25°C) and hould be operated
in an open et up with dry, du t and aggre ive team free environment.
If the controller i u ed within a clo ed cabinet or room temperature higher than 25°C, you have
to upply additional mea ure for ventilation.
Increased dust load must be prevented by suitable measures.

peration in an aggressive, dusty, humid, extremely hot or hazardous environment is at the
user's own risk and responsibility.
The u er ha to care for appropriate precaution and protective device , Any liability for dam -
age ari ing in uch an environment by the operation, are hereby expre ly excluded.
Noise
With the HF- pindle running at full peed and the vacuum cleaner on, the noi e pre ure level at
1 m di tance i 86 dB(A). Operator have to wear ear protection.
Dust
It i nece ary that the tandard vacuum cleaner i alway being u ed during operation on printed
circuit board . The vacuum cleaner mu t be OFF during and after u e of alcohol or other inflam -
mable or explo ive liquid (i. e. u ed for cooling when milling aluminium). Individual operating con-
dition may require that an extraction unit with higher rating or the optional protective enclo ure be
in talled.
Protection against eye damage
The la er expo ure unit may only be u ed in connection with a CCD.
The la er can only be witched on, when it i correctly in talled into the
pindle holder of the CCD.
The la er it elf ha a power 120 mW and i cla ified a la er cla 3B.
The la er i et into the CCD in a way, which make it impo ible to look dir-
ectly into the la er light.
Note: the laser exposure unit may only be operated in a closed rack or hood.
Plea e ob erve the general rule for handling electronic part , e pecially
ESD-protection.
Before touching the la er head, perform a potential compen ation.
E.g put you both hand on an ESD- uitable upport before removing the la er
from the package.
You need to do the ame, before you rea emble the la er from the machine.
By bad condition like, PVC flooring and hoe with pla tic ole , high tatic
charge can occur.
The e could damage the la er head.
Power supply
The machine power upply ha a wide range AC input. You can run it on any common ingle
pha e main upply. If the power cord upplied with the machine i not uitable for your country,
plea e replace it. In thi ca e it i urgently required that you en ure correct grounding to PE.
Attention! You mu t di connect the machine from the main upply and wait until DC voltage
are low prior to opening the control unit or to pulling card off from it. We deny any liability if al -
teration to any mechanical, electric or electronic component of the machine are made. Prior to
any manipulation to the control unit, check that the machine ha been di connected from the
main upply.
Do not pull the cable while the machine i under power. Fir t witch off controller and wait for po-
tential equali ation.

At the power upply are two ocket , which are witched on and off together with the pindle mo-
tor. The e ocket can be u ed e.g. for the vacuum cleaner or a magnetic valve for cooling
device. Each ocket may not take more than 5 A (1150 W at 230 V AC).
For the connection of afety witche (e.g. hood witche ) a hielded cable hould be u ed, it
mu t be kept a hort a po ible. Thi cable - ju t like all remaining connection/feeder cable
between Controller and CCD - hould not be laid parallel to power cable in order to prevent in-
ductive or capacitive linking of high-energy tran ient and thu po ible over voltage damage in
the Controller.
Not avoidable cro ing with power cable mu t be right-angle implemented to keep couple- train
a hort a po ible.
If in the proximity of the machine high inductive load are operated like e.g. trong electric mo-
tor , exhau t fan , contactor etc., the employment of an opto coupler can be nece ary for the
connection of the hood contact/ afety witch.
All damage due to over voltage, overheating, humidity, du t, corro ion or inappropriate connec-
tion of external or electronic device are excluded of the guarantee. The e repair will be
charged.
Maintenance
It i important that you regularly remove all du t and having from the machine. To clean and lub-
ricate the teel haft , e pecially tho e below the aluminium extru ion on the X-axi , u e a cloth
and ome acid-free machine oil. On each end of the linear bearing hou ing , there are lubricating
felt tripe . Regularly apply ome oil to them. If the machine will not be u ed for a longer period or
prior to tran port, all teel haft hould be well lubricated.
The ball gear drive of the z-axi need to get cleaned from chip and du t regularly and grea ed
with a uitable grea e.
The drive belt mu t al o be kept clean from du t and having but mu t not not be lubricated.
The belt are ubject to wear. If they how damage like lateral fray-out or deformed teeth they
hould be replaced.
Tools
Only tool with ring (collar) hould be u ed. The di tance flange determine the pindle elevation
over the table. The di tance from the top edge of the ring to the tool tip i 21 mm. It i mounted to
the pindle at the factory in a way that a drill with ring i 0.5 mm over the machine table when the
Z axi i completely down. You hould not change thi etting. Otherwi e the mechanical po ition
of the Z axi will be different from the one a umed by the driver oftware. Damage to the ma-
chine table may then re ult.

Short instruction/Set
You need:
•if po ible a econd per on to lift the machine off the rack
•a mall crew driver
•a multiple ocket
•a drill backing board
•adhe ive tape
•PCB material and
•tool (drill /router )
Examine the packaging for tran port damage.
Open the lid of the packaging and remove anchoring trap . The machine i in ide of a rack. If
the rack doe not fit through your door , the machine ha to taken from the rack with at lea t
two per on . Di mount the upper part of the rack and carry it vertical through the door. Mount
the rack and in ert machine again.
Carrying point of the machine are the aluminium profile near the feet. If needed move the y-
bar in the middle of the table to en ure even weight di tribution. Align the 4 levelling feet o that
the machine doe not wobble. Examine the machine for po ible tran port damage .
Manual test: With no cable connected, check whether all three axi move freely. Check if the
upplied pindle ea ily rotate .
Spindle Setup: With the Premium the pindle i already mounted in a way that a drill or a router
with correct length (21 mm from the tool tip to top of the ring; 38mm total length) can be lowered
to a maximum of 0.5 mm above the table. Thu touching the table with the tool i not po ible.

The Schuko- ocket of the power upply witch on,
when the pindle tart to turn. You may connect 5
A at max to each ocket!
For compre ed air upply you need a compre or with at
lea t 6 bar. Connect the compre or to the pre ure redu-
cer of the machine.
Compare the connection of the pindle with the picture above.

If you want to u e a la er expo ure unit in tead of a
pindle, you can remove the pindle by olving the two
fixing crew , then in ert the la er and park the
pindle momentarily on the left of the machine. Re-
move pre ure foot or depth limiter for la er expo ure.
Take care that the guiding no e of the la er unit i cor-
rectly mounted. Mounting of the di pen er (option)
work analogou ly.
At la t connect the cable of the USB-camera to your computer. U e
an active hub with power upply if nece ary.
