Useofthesystemthatdoesnotcomplywiththeinstructionscouldpresentriskstopeople,nearby
installationsandtheenvironment.
▶Themeasurementsystemtype8905isintended,dependingonthesensorcubesandtheelectronic
modulestted,fortheacquisition,processing,transmissionandregulationofphysico-chemicalparam-
eterssuchaspH,oxydoreductionpotential,conductivity,temperature,turbidityorchlorinerateindrink-
ing water.
▶Themeasurementsystemtype8905mustneverbeusedinsafetyapplications.
▶Onlycombinethesystemwiththird-partydevicesorcomponentsrecommendedandauthorizedby
Bürkert.
▶Thesystemmustbeprotectedagainstelectromagneticinterference,ultravioletraysand,wheninstalled
outdoors,theeectsofclimaticconditions.
▶Thesystemmustbeusedincompliancewiththecharacteristicsandcommissioninganduseconditions
speciedinthecontractualdocumentsandintheOperatingInstructions.
▶Thesystemmustbeusedincompliancewiththecharacteristicsandcommissioninganduseconditions
speciedintheOperatingInstructionsofalltheelectronicmodulesandofallthesensorcubesthatare
usedinthesystem.

3 BASIC SAFETY INFORMATION
Thissafetyinformationdoesnottakeintoaccount:

Eachsensorcubeispluggedonasensorcubebackplane.
Allthebackplanesforthesensorcubeshavethesamedesign.Thusanysensorcubecanbepluggedon
anysensorcubebackplaneinthesystem.
Thebackplanesareconnectedtoeachotherandfeedthesensorcubeswiththepowersupplyandthe
processwater.
Thebackplanesareconnectedinparallel,i.e.ifasensorcubeisremoved,theothersensorcubescontinue
measuring.
Whenthesensorcubeisremovedfromitsbackplane,theinterfaceistight.
Alockingpinpreventsfromunintentionalmoveofthebayonetlever.

Thesystemmustbeinstalledonasupport(awallforexample)withthewall-mountingsetwithordercode
566363,including1wallbracketandthe4self-adhesivebumpers.

2. Letthesurfacesdry.

bumpersfromtheirsupport
andpressthemonthecleaned
surfaces.

Theopeningofthe2housingsismadeinthesameway.

Riskofelectrocutioniftheelectronic-moduleshousingisopen,becauseitsIP65protectionisnot
ensured.
▶Onlyopentheelectronic-moduleshousingtoputinorremovetheUSBstickfromtheelectronicmodule
ME21 or ME25.
▶Beforeopeningtheelectronic-moduleshousing,protectthesystemagainstanysplashing.
▶Closethehousingafteranyworkwithrespecttotheclosinginstructionsofthehousing.
