Getting to Know Your Focus
Review all Warnings, Cautions and additional device
information in your User Manual.
Become familiar with the key features of the Focus and the
User interface
Operation
LED
The Green light indicates normal operation.
When the Focus unit senses inhalation, a
pulse of oxygen is delivered through the
nasal cannula. The green light on the unit’s
control panel blinks each time a breath is
detected.
When the service indicator illuminates
solid amber, it is time for your Focus unit
to be inspected and/or serviced by your
Equipment Provider.
Alarm
Indicator
Indicates an alarm condition. Immediate
response is necessary. Refer to the
troubleshooting table in the user manual
and contact your home care provider.
ON/OFF
Switch
Located on the operation cord and AC
power supply, this turns the Focus on.
There are no settings to adjust so simply
press the ON/OFF (I/O) switch in the I (ON)
direction and the Focus will power on.
Battery
Gauge
Equipped with 4 lights (25-100%) to
indicate the level of battery charge.
To check the battery charge, press the gray
button to display the current charge.
When charging, the % light will blink until
the corresponding charge is reached and
then it will stop blinking and remain on.
Buzzer: An audible alarm alerts you to the operating
condition of the device, either a warning or failure, and
sounds upon start-up to conrm operation.

1) Connect your Focus to the Power Inlet: Using the cord
attached to your universal power supply, locate the arrow
marking at the top of the connector. Insert the connector
into the power inlet with the arrow side facing outward.
Do not force the connector into the power inlet as it can
be inserted in only one direction.

Using the Focus on AC (Wall) Power
Connect oxygen tubing to the oxygen outlet. Ensure the
tubing is fully inserted and secure. The tubing length
cannot exceed 25 ft.

Begin Using the Focus
4) Charge The Focus Battery:
Connect one end of the battery charging cable (the coiled
cord without the (I/O) switch to the power supply brick in the
connection labeled “DC OUT TO BATTERY.” Connect the
other end to the side of the battery pack.
2) Connect to AC Power:
Connect the AC power cord to the power supply brick.
Connect the 3-prong AC power cord into any standard
wall outlet.
3) Power the Focus ON by switching the ON/OFF (I/O)
switch in the I (ON) direction. Both lights will illuminate
alternating between green and red momentarily and a
brief audible alarm will sound. This indicates the device is
powered on and ready to use.
Breathe normally through your nose. Each time you
breathe in and a breath is detected, the green light on the
Focus control panel will blink once. You should hear and
feel a pu of oxygen delivered through your nasal cannula.

1) Connect the Focus Battery to the power inlet: Using
the battery operation cable (the coiled cord with the
(I/O) switch), locate the arrow marking at the top of the
connector. Insert the connector into the power inlet with
the arrow side facing outward. Do not force the connector
into the power inlet as it can be inserted in only one
direction.
2) Connect the other end of the battery operation cable to
the side of the battery.

Operating the Focus on Battery Power
3) Power the Focus ON by switching the ON/OFF (I/O)
switch in the I (ON) direction. Both lights will illuminate
alternating between green and red momentarily and a
brief audible alarm will sound. This indicates the device is
powered on and ready to use.
4) Check The Battery Charge:
Press the gray button on battery keypad. The battery
gauge to the left of the button will indicate an approximate
battery charge (25-100%) with green lights.
